Awesome content! I am 23 years old, I have 2 more semesters left in nursing school. I am beyond excited to become a CRNA, serve people, have a great quality of living and be financially independent. I am shooting for the stars. Thanks for the awesome video.
I love the benefit of being a traveler as a tech. Making $3,000-$4,500/ week only working 36-40 hours a week and call pay which makes it an extra $500-$1000/week. As a cardiovascular technologist! I love being off when I want and collecting unemployment in between my 4-6 weeks off per 13 week assignment. Lot's of money and freedom!!!
My 10k per week contracts were the easiest I miss them … I’m switching to tech for career longevity and gonna keep my PRN Pacu job that pays 85/hr … . I want to work from home that’s why I’m switching to tech
This is an extremely informative video. I've been looking into CRNA for a while now, and this comparison style video gives so much information for the CRNA portion of it, that I got some concerns laid to rest thanks to this. This video covers information that no other videos cover on youtube (at least from what I've seen). You two did great. Thank you so much for making this.
Watched this video and immediately subscribed. Great content. Almost all of this info I have already stumbled across in my research of the profession but hearing it all from one source and from two people with first hand experience is awesome. Really validates me in the path I am on now. I am a 10+ year paramedic and trying to get into a bridge to ADN program. From there the plan is to try to get a new grad nurse program in Northern California to gain a few years of experience, finish BSN and then apply to CRNA schools. I have a long road ahead of me but knowing that I can only really top out at $40 per hour as a paramedic is a huge motivation.
Great info!! Soooo true 12 hr shifts are usually 12hr+… Keep up with the good informative info, here to support despite knowing my path is different on this nursing journey! We need nurses in all the different aspects of healthcare making a difference at their best. To fellow nurses, find your clarity & follow it…life-work balance… not the other way round!
This was amazing. I really wish I found you’ll before starting as a new grad. Maybe then I wouldn’t have been removed from icu orientation at like 5 weeks and now owe the hospital $4k. I would feel so much better about myself as a nurse at this point.
Wow! This video should have more views! So informative and educative! I’ve always been skeptical about being a CRNA because prior to this video, I used to think about sticking with travel as opposed to CRNA! This video has dispelled all my uncertainties! Thanks guys!!!
There is nothing to compare a RN to a CRNA. The pay should Have little to do with decisions. You either want to be a CRNA and Everything that entails or you want to remain a nurse. Yes you get paid great but the job responsibilities are Extremely different. Never make a decision based on wages.
Just starting my pre-reqs for a ABSN program. Nervous but this is the path I believe to be the right one. Then I want to become crna. Will see what happens
I worry that by the time I get into crna schooling (just graduated nursing school) there won’t be jobs for crna because so many people are going that route.
Nursing is a profession we will always need. They may change the requirements to make the program more rigorous but they won’t eliminate opportunities altogether ☺️
Yea I’m increasingly leaning towards CRNA I just need to shadow a couple but I’ve binged watch a lot of CRNA content in past two weeks and I am pretty much hooked
Not really looking to get my masters right now, been traveling for a year and some change. Looking to see if I can get a staff job in cali and still live in Florida? Is that a thing? I also see the cath lab is paying really good for travel as opposed to PACU. I’m an oncology nurse and im really burnt out, any advice you can offer me? My options are PACU, cath lab, or work from home. I would really like to break 150k/ year and be more relaxed but im not sure which way to go.
I’m not sure it’s realistic to be staff on one side of the country and live on the other but I know people who take per diem jobs and fly back and forth!
Lol i just do phone triage and make close to 200k. Some of my peers make over that. I also live in a cheap area of california. Think rural. Low stress, no traveling, and no extra hours! I can also work another job if i want and not be overly stressed out going into it. There are other job opportunities out there, just look. Also i havent been a nurse long and getting government benefits!
I am a 33 year old mom of 2. I am an interior designer and I really would like to become a crna as a 2nd career. I’m totally starting over and taking my prereqs for nursing school. Am I insane ?
Great video!! Thought it had interesting comparisons. If I could add, please remove the jumping camera views and also having to turn all the way around to look at the camera. The single view is great and does take away from the videos value!
Travel nursing, registry, and remote jobs in digital marketing or data analytics is where it’s at. I’ll never go back to staff nursing. There’s no need to go to NP or CRNA school unless that’s your passion.
Obviously every plan is different - but fertility benefits can *often* be applied to a variety of family planning scenarios including adoption, surrogacy, fertility assistance for a married couple, egg freezing, and more. This is not ALWAYS the case but is increasing in popularity
yes and no - you can take short term locum tenens assignments but it works a little different than travel nursing. We cover this towards the end of the video
Universal healthcare would be a disaster. You wouldn't be making the salaries you make now. Just look at the salaries Scandinavian and European countries that have universal healthcare. The quality of healthcare would suck because the government would have to ration the healthcare. I lived in Canada. I had to wait 6 months to see a specialist. Many people died waiting to see doctors there. Unless you've lived a country with Universal Healthcare, you don't have a clue what you're talking about.
🙄 Sighs sometimes this is why i don't watch female UA-camrs I have no clue what they talking about and they go off topic so much talking about unnecessary stuff
I cant wait 🥹❤ n im not talking about the money, just coming from where i come from. This will separate me from the rest 🥹❤ currently working on my CCRN 🥰

O and can I add it's all that money with just an associate's degree and registry!!! Team technologist!!!!
Love that! ty for sharing we want everyone to see there are so many opportunities in health care this is a great example
You really qualify for unemployment benefits with that income? You shouldn’t but that’s not your fault.
My 10k per week contracts were the easiest I miss them … I’m switching to tech for career longevity and gonna keep my PRN Pacu job that pays 85/hr … . I want to work from home that’s why I’m switching to tech
Would you mind sharing how you are going to go about switching to tech? Are you going to go back to school, or do self taught?
10k per week. Sheesh
Are you still in tech? Were you affected by layoffs?
I work in tech and am switching to healthcare. I’m tired of unpaid on-call and weekends.
I miss those 10k paychecks but it was nevaaaaaa easy 😂
This this deserves more views . Props to both of y’all. Tyvm
thank you so much! glad it was helpful!
So excited to become a CRNA! 🎉 Thank you for all the knowledge you both provided.
Our pleasure! Best of luck!

This is quickly becoming my favorite UA-cam channel. Thanks for all the great insight. It really is so useful.
I really appreciate the candid conversation. Thank you for the book recommendations as well.
Knowledge is power! Those reads are essential. Thank you for watching 🙏🏽

I wish I saw this video when I was 15!!! Amazing info, they should play it to High School kids!!!

We’re sorry to hear about your experience-you deserved better 😞
I’m a new grad, can i ask what you would’ve done instead?
This was such a fun episode to dive into! Excited for our next film day
OMG I don't even where to start taking notes from this videos. So a great amount of information.
glad it was helpful! Promise we will keep this video around so you can reference when you need it

I love this video. This is another push
We didn’t get to repeat our CRNA class if we made less than an 82. We were just let go from the program. Stressful, but we’ll worth it now!
excellent information, thank you.
Really good stuff! Thank you guys!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Just starting my pre-reqs for a ABSN program. Nervous but this is the path I believe to be the right one. Then I want to become crna. Will see what happens
one step at a time!
Same 😊
I saw a locums crna made 98k a month i know it’s not the norm. But he worked every single day
absolutely! totally can be a thing - but its tonsssss of work
I enjoyed your video, however, can you do a video on comparing Internal/External Travel Nursing plz. Thks.
Such great information!!
so glad it was helpful!
I worry that by the time I get into crna schooling (just graduated nursing school) there won’t be jobs for crna because so many people are going that route.
the job market is wide open!
Not gonna happen.
Nursing is a profession we will always need. They may change the requirements to make the program more rigorous but they won’t eliminate opportunities altogether ☺️
Unless we stop dying and getting sick. That will never happen baby 😂❤
LOl thats not going to happen theres a shortage of all kind of nurses
great video but why all the many camera changes 😭😭
I keep going back and forth on CRNA vs ACNP and quality of life and longevity of career
Keep researching and weighing your options. Eventually one of them will become the clearer path
Yea I’m increasingly leaning towards CRNA I just need to shadow a couple but I’ve binged watch a lot of CRNA content in past two weeks and I am pretty much hooked
hope you love it!
New goals CRNA
Those are not travel nurse contracts. That’s a screenshot of job postings at an anesthesia website.

As a Registered Nurse?
I am a 33 year old mom of 2. I am an interior designer and I really would like to become a crna as a 2nd career. I’m totally starting over and taking my prereqs for nursing school. Am I insane ?
Soon as I seen this video I look for your most recent us update us

thank you!
A CRNA went viral for making 93k a month
Omg the constant angle changes have me a migraine .
Can you do a similar video comparing RN to NP to CRNA?
will add to the list!
Travel nursing, registry, and remote jobs in digital marketing or data analytics is where it’s at. I’ll never go back to staff nursing. There’s no need to go to NP or CRNA school unless that’s your passion.
But they are doing California compensation. What about the other states? Especially here in Louisiana. My ultimate goal is to be an NP
You have to run the numbers of course. Depending on your plan each state is going to be different
im nervous after watch this is video thanks guys
I feel like canada health care and patient outcomes cost are outrageously awful.
My 401k matching is 8% plus a pension.
I hadn’t considered infertility benefits, does this only apply to female CRNA’s? Or does it extend to a male CRNA’s spouse?
Obviously every plan is different - but fertility benefits can *often* be applied to a variety of family planning scenarios including adoption, surrogacy, fertility assistance for a married couple, egg freezing, and more. This is not ALWAYS the case but is increasing in popularity
What is CRNA ?
Great video! Can u still work as a staff nurse after becoming a CRNA?
Typically no, although I don’t think any CRNAs want to anyway- we get plenty of time at the bedside (like every minute of every case 😉)
@@confidentcareacademy Thanks for clarifying
Yes you can. You have to maintain a RN license to be a CRNA. I don’t know if a single CRNA who would do that though.
What are her scrubs ?
@figs!
Is it possible to work 70 hours a week as a crna and earn almost double of the fulltime salary .
Technically anything is possible right lol
Of course you base a job choice on money
Can you be both like be a travel CRNA
yes and no - you can take short term locum tenens assignments but it works a little different than travel nursing. We cover this towards the end of the video

Simply saying, "Universal Healthcare is the answer" without explaining how it's feasible, only misleads people.

@confidentcareacademy i passed it already. I wrote this a month ago. Lol
@@confidentcareacademy but thanks 😊
@@kajmiiir__RN_BSN_CCRN sorry it took us so long! Happy you did 🫶🏽
@@confidentcareacademy thank you
Oh my gosh! That camera jumping back and forth was WAY to much to visually watch! 🫣
I plan to be a traveling nurse in order to pay for crna school ☺️🥹
Get employed in hospital and they will pay for your tuition.
@@dunamis9935 yes I’m doing a CNA partnership program in two months through the hospital near me. They hire you immediately
