    If you see the power drift review on the continental gt 650 I left a comment where, if I own one I would swap the suspension with dukes usd forks . And you did it first.

      Great minds think alike, hahaha. But I am not the first to do it. Even though I started some 3 months ago. The problem is we just don't know anything about modifications. We try to directly swap parts and whenever we run into issues, we try to figure out solutions. That takes time since this is not out expertise.

    Nice attempt and waiting for final product. However, from safety standpoint, will the USD forks bear the weight of this RE under heavy braking? Reason why I’m asking is, USD forks of KTM is designed for its own weight and design. RE is a different elephant altogether. Just concerned on the weight difference between the two bikes. Any tests that would be conducted to prove it won’t give up during stressful situations?

    • @abhinavbhatt
      @abhinavbhatt  5 років тому

      I will have to put in heavier springs to compensate for the extra weight. Any and all testing will be on the road.

    Are you going for 17 inch alloys or spoked rims? Also, did you have to make any changes to fit the front forks? The Duke is a much lighter motorcycle than this one, probably why you need stiffer springs.

    Hi Abhinav, the bike looks great, just wanted to confirm-
    In one of your vlogs you mentioned the foot peg placement issue with the bike, you had also mentioned about trying to fit the gt650 foot pegs to this bike, have you managed to do that? Just wanted to know if they can be retro fitted without any mods...
    Also you mentioned about your custom rims being made, are these going to be tubeless ? If so where have you had them made

    • @abhinavbhatt
      @abhinavbhatt  5 років тому +1

      Hi. The GT650 pegs fit just fine and work better than stock for me at least. The custom rims were made by this UA-cam channel called HDT Customs. The rims were imported and the hub and spokes were sourced here. But the set up is not tubeless as of now. All details are on my Instagram. The bike looks very different from what you see in this video.

    Hey Abhinav, first off I’m really impressed with how the bike has turned out so far.
    Now ive been considering to get the adelin units for my interceptor. Im confused on which one im supposed to take. I see that there is a 17.5mm piston bore size and a 19mm piston bore. Im quite not sure which one im supposed to get. Can you let me know on the specifics cos’ i see that u already have chosen the adelin levers. Looking forward to your response.
    Cheers!!

    • @abhinavbhatt
      @abhinavbhatt  5 років тому

      Hi Russel, I went with a 19 mm piston simply because I couldn't find a 17.5 mm one. I run that on my little 150 cc bike but I suspect it will do just fine on the Interceptor. I don't know how well the 19 works on this bike yet since haven't ridden it hard.
      I'll make a video on braking once the bike is set up.
