Kombi Life you two are amazing people I dream about going to Alaska I hope one day to go there thank you for all of your hard work to document your travels
Kombi Life I just respect you guys so much for all of the effort you guys put into each and every video I really appreciate it. And the one thing about u guys is that u don't do it for the money which you don't really see that much in a world revolved around money. But ik on how u guys could get a lot more viewers get you guys on billboard in Times Square saying "check our journey to Chile to Alaska on Kombi Life on UA-cam"
I tell people, the best part of Alaska is the awe factor. Moved here in 1982, and the adventures are still awesome. "Turn a corner and, Postcard, turn another corner and Postcard" I second that!
Loving the story Ben and Leah, this episode answered questions I've been having. Brought tears to my eyes and I am in love with the state of Alaska and your dog too, she's marvelous. Great work!! Shows keep getting better and better. You two make a good team.
Born and raised in Anchorage, currently in Homer for a little bit of time, but come to Homer every year for the last 9 years to stock our freezer of halibit. I approve of this video.
I was born in Anchorage in 1955, before it was a state! I have been all around the world and states and ended up in the 2nd most beautiful place. Pa. is only 2nd to Alaska! Its in my blood! always miss it, only not the winters! Great video!
Actually those red berries are called High Bush Cranberries or Cramp Bark but they aren't real cranberries. They do taste better after a frost though! :-P
Again what a great show that shares great adventures by a really fun and simple couple. Just a year before I reach my fifties, I bought a Westfalia last summer to live simple adventures with my girlfriend. You guys are a inspiration. Thanks for sharing keep having fun!
you know what i hate about your vidéos.. is when u say "u'll have to wait for the next time" :'( u leave me with my heart borken waiting for the next episode !!! ur vidéos are awesome man i just love u
This one really made me nostalgic for some adventures I took 20+ years ago. I used to have such a bad case of wanderlust and maybe I got it out of my system in my 20s. Now I live in a beautiful place and I hardly ever leave a few miles radius...and that's fine with me. But, that scene where you saw the "mist rainbow" stirred something in me and now I'm feasting upon old photos and memories. Thanks! Also, the production quality of these episodes just keeps getting better and better!! Great work!.
just finished binge watching all these videos after one of them popped up in my recommended! I can't stop telling my friends about you. I really enjoyed this videos and getting to see your incredible adventure. keep up the awesome work!
Have been born and raised in Homer for 18 years of my life and now getting my degree in Fairbanks. So happy you guys covered my hometown as the best place in Alaska!
You did a great job representing the Kenai Peninsula with this :) I live on the Peninsula and it is quite amazing. Also, this series is amazing and I'm proud of you guys.
The quality of the videos, the cinematography etc just keeps getting better and better.. Keep it up & a big thanks for sharing your journey through life
Those favorite mushro0ms that you liked & named are puffballs, those ones you was @ was releasing spores, when they are not as far gone as that you can eat them ,nice with butter. You can also find ones larger than fo0tballs.
If you camp on an eroded riverbank like at 10:00 it's a good idea to move your vehicle a couple of meters away from the water. Otherwise you could be in for another kombi restoration. Sorry, couldn't resist minding your business here. Apart from that thank you for putting the effort into sharing your adventure with us!
Just came across y’all video! My wife and I were there for about five weeks ( Jul-Aug 2017) and loved it. We had to talk ourselves out of buying land near Hope about 17 times. We plan to visit again!
Three hundred thousand!!! Well done Ben, Leah and Alaska. Once again a pleasure to view your world. Great to see and learn the trails of trek. Mushrooms all round I think, spread the magic everywhere.
I stumbled onto your series about a month ago have have binged the entire 5 seasons. I tip my hat to you for these, great story, awesome adventures. I adore the the fact you got Alaska in South America as a travel companion! Waiting for the end of the series, and looking forward to what you have in store for the next adventure.
Best video guys.... Keep it up....looking forward to seeing more like this in future.... Just so u know, looking at the open n empty yet beautiful places surrounded with nature, made me feel sooooo free...that was just too beautiful.... Please make more of these.
WAS on my bucket list. My wife and I just spent two weeks in Seward in September. Hiked all over, went mountain biking and saw an amazing amount of wildlife on and off shore. EPIC trip. Thanks for the reminder...
That was a better advert for your new drone than the promo you did, and that promo was first rate. You have stepped up your production quality even further with this vid, omg, brilliant well done! Countryside kinda looks like Newzealand there in many ways... And love what you show here, whats usually missed by the tourist hordes. And family in converted boat, who could think that was uncool, really! Lovingly built creative spaces. Never be allowed in Australia, but most of our houses look like crap. Worse than crap. Nice to see you two holding hands, couldnt help laughing at the bum slap ha ha...subtle humor in your vids in nice to see. Keep doing what you do guys. Makes me v happy.
Amazing video as usual. You know you guys are some brave souls, not being 100% about the mushrooms, yet...cooking them up anyways. Glad there will be a next video. Great to see your fishing luck has changed!
I live in Alaska and have been to Homer countless times, and I never knew that big abandoned looking boat was a house. It's just kinda sitting along the shore on the spit.
Why is the houseboat controversial? You mentioned that it is in somewhat of a touristy area. I would think that is something that people would be interested to see. Is it just because it is a bit of an eye-sore? Excellent - and I mean EXCELLENT - video!
My dad has a cousin that lives in Homer. I've visited a few times. It was nice to see the sights again! I kept looking for him to pop up in there somewhere.
Only if you were able to film this quality earlier on !!! Would have been amazing . Anyway keep up the good work a true inspiration for those of us out there looking for An adventure !!!
Your videos are absolutely brilliant, both clever talented people. I’m looking forward to binging on your series . Thanks for the inspiration guys x Safe and happy travels Amy and Anth
Love your channel snd your videos are he best! I’ve been to Alaska snd agree, as you go around each bend it’s more beautiful than the one you just left! I can’t wait to go again.
Any one that can keep a Volkswagen Bus running and depend on it for transportation is an adventure in itself. There are very few Mechanics that can or will repair one of those vehicles, you deserve a free trip just for that achievement.
We were in Seward and Homer in 2010 for a couple of weeks and it's somewhere we want to return to as it's awesome. However, it's possibly one of the furthest places from Fremantle to get to so we really enjoyed watching your video and reminiscing about our time there. Thank you so much for sharing this with us...
You guys are truly an inspiration I love watching your videos and seeing what you guys have been trough and made it trough every single one! You guys keep up the great job and enjoy these beautiful adventures! Thank you so much for sharing. Makes me feel like I’m on the adventure also! God bless you guys be safe! shout out from Brazil 🇧🇷
A lot of boletes will turn blue. If you cut them and they turn blue like right away then don't eat them. They are all pretty safe to eat, but some boletes could give you a stomach ache. Some people aren't effected by them at all.
So glad you made it to the Peninsula, and lucky you for being able to tour inside the ship, (in my 30 years up here I've yet to be able to do that). I got really excited when I saw your click-bait title, thinking that you'd actually be showing my hometown of Kenai. But, alas, you didn't. Why?
I grew up on the Kenai Peninsula. Great place to live in the summer... not so much in the winter time. I'd love to go back and visit, but I'd never live there again.
300k subs with this episode - thanks for sharing the adventures with us everyone!

Kombi Life that cool mushroom is like from the movie alien covenant. amazing.
You know you deserve more like 5 million, don't you?
The contest ended about a year ago, there was a video about the winner. These videos are also about a year behind at this point.
This UA-cam channel is an international treasure
9:54 There's nothing in the morning like a slap on the butt XD
Lol nice catch😂
Next to a river, and in Alaska.

Man, your videography has gotten so good over the years. It's cool to see how much you've grown.
I love Kenai. My first trip to Alaska was with my brother and Dad. We went to Kenai and have an awesome fishing trip!
I was born in Anchorage in 1955, before it was a state! I have been all around the world and states and ended up in the 2nd most beautiful place. Pa. is only 2nd to Alaska! Its in my blood! always miss it, only not the winters! Great video!
Yay! Glad I found another UA-cam Channel about Alaska, our playground up on the North!
The best thing on UA-cam by far
You sir have sold me on Alaska!
Actually those red berries are called High Bush Cranberries or Cramp Bark but they aren't real cranberries. They do taste better after a frost though! :-P

Amazing. Thanks Leah and Ben, and Hasta. I look forward to your shows. This was by far THE best. I’m smitten with Alaska. 😍❤️💕

Fantastic channel! Every episode is worth watching. Love the aerial shots..
You don't pick up strangers anymore....I loved seeing all of these pure happy different travellers coming together in your tiny vehicle
To be discussed in the epilogue.
I agree but will await the epilogue like a gooood boy
He doesn't cuz he found what he was trolling for
Risotto ai funghi :)
It's interesting how your cinematography has become more refined over time
Our home!! All of my favorite places in one video! So glad I found this channel.
Been there loved it want to go back..I miss that place
"Why pay $5 a pound when you can just pick them [blueberries] in a matter of minutes."
So true.
Your uncommon ways are opening our eyes!
Damn great shots! The drone is so great.
Really nicely produced. You found another 'Salty Dog'! Wow amazing house boat. Look forward to the next episode.

Beautiful episode again. I'm kinda sad hasta Alaska is almost over. But the end of one adventure is the begin of an other one.

Great knowing yiur journey didn't ended. Great videos and nice story, specially the boad made home.
Well done, as usual! Always interesting to see my home state (back yard) from an outsider's perspective. ATB!
Any one that can keep a Volkswagen Bus running and depend on it for transportation is an adventure in itself. There are very few Mechanics that can or will repair one of those vehicles, you deserve a free trip just for that achievement.
10:00 and 17:34 As a beginner UA-camr, I've always wondered who controls the drone in scenes like this.
Awesome as ever, great storytelling
We were in Seward and Homer in 2010 for a couple of weeks and it's somewhere we want to return to as it's awesome. However, it's possibly one of the furthest places from Fremantle to get to so we really enjoyed watching your video and reminiscing about our time there. Thank you so much for sharing this with us...
Your literally living my dream life !!
That park ranger looks 12 years old!!! Sending my kids to Alaska for work!!! Great episode guys.

Absolutely amazing!! We hope to be joining the vanlife soon.
Love how you guys lived off the land. I've lived in Alaska for a while and have never done that. You're video definitely made me want to try to.
This is my favorite video ever!!! I hiked up to exit glacier 9 months pregnant😊
Wow!
Thinking about down the road retirement so learning about Alaska I like winter so factoring in everything
I live in Kenai. Our town has been ravaged by Covid, and the hospital is full.. but we are doing the best we can!
At 7:01 I don’t think it’s the first time he’s ever said that to her.
zerotec nickalskillz looool
Might visit Port of Kenai in Summer and dip net? I mean, we sell ice on the docks.
Beautiful photography.
That salmon looked good. . .
A lot of boletes will turn blue. If you cut them and they turn blue like right away then don't eat them. They are all pretty safe to eat, but some boletes could give you a stomach ache. Some people aren't effected by them at all.
Cool. Thanks for the tip :)
YAYYYY!!!! MY FAVORITE SHOWWWWW
your content is superb. thanks for taking us with you....wow.
Why?
Just can’t film everywhere.
The camping site on the river was a little risky. There was already a land slide some time ago. Some few meters away would be all thats neccessary.
I grew up on the Kenai Peninsula. Great place to live in the summer... not so much in the winter time.
I'd love to go back and visit, but I'd never live there again.
You just upped your film making skills considerably...
11:11 if you cut some mushrooms and they turn blue you could be in for quite a trip ;)
Awesome photography!
Great footage, thanks for sharing (again) :o)
Ben the gentleman that cuts the scene a microsecond before the slap....
well it would have been rude not to...literally!
