I'm stumped. You set the bar so high with last week's episode, yet this series keeps getting better and better. Beautiful. During the recent live Q&A you had said Lost & Found is a "proof of concept" for bigger sponsored projects in the future. If this series is proof of concept, then what was "A Summer adrift"? Was that you finding out for yourselves if that, i.e. longer series, is something *you'd* have an interest in doing?
This is a great question Theo, so thank you for that! I think that I'm wanting to do something"bigger" in the future with something like this series. Summer Adrift actually happened kind of on accident. We had the footage and realized, after the fact that we could make something out of it. This time, we knew we could make a series, but we wanted to push ourselves from a creative and quality standpoint. With Lost & Found it feels like our skill set is finally catching up with our ideas. If that makes sense. What I love about Lost & Found is that it dives into the ideas behind why people travel, and what that sparks inside of us. It's one thing to go to a beautiful place, but there is so much more that is happening to us as we explore and learn about the world around us. Those are ideas I want to explore on a larger scale.
My wife and family will attest that the world shuts down for my "Alaska" shows. This series has become a part of that repertoire. The cinematography and narrative easily rival commercially produced shows. Have commented before and will probably continue to say that photos and videos are awe inspiring. I'm very surprised that you don't have a million or more subscribers, but on the other hand, I kinda like being a part of small group of folks watching this grow. Thanks for sharing and looking forward to more.
Had to stop….tears…..there’s that empathy again…..we carry those we love with us, everywhere and always. Promise fulfilled. Tears have subsided, back to the episode.
Responding to be myself, does that break the space-time continuum? 😉 That was special, an excellent piece of film making. That campsite and those icebergs? Are you kidding me?
We are absolutely loving this series! You made us cry with the Wonder Woman costume for Luna 😿 Those sea otters were too cute!! Beautiful places and critters, can’t wait to see it for ourselves someday! Can’t wait for next week’s episode!
It's awesome to see my home featured in your video. I was born and raised in the Kenai/Soldotna area and it is very entertaining to see my ordinary everyday surroundings through the perspective of a tourist.
Wow, wow, wow- they just keep getting better and better. So stoked that the next episode appears to include some surfing. I was hoping you’d get some waves. Thanks for sharing your work of love with all of us. The retro on Luna was touching.
In Awe ! , mesmerizing !! Thankyou both for your great work . Luv it , Luv it , Luv it ... My truck will get there for sure ... ~peace~ & Happy Easter ...
I just discovered your channel as I am just getting into overlanding, and I am at awe! I love the content, the cinematography, and the music.. Thank you for sharing your journey, gives us a glimpse of what is out there in the world to explore
Love it! That poor pastry felt your wrath, lol! Owen you guys need to rock your last name! like "Now for a little ChickaZawa" Like "bow chick a wow wow", lol! Awesome vid as always!
HAHA didn't see me coming! And my roommate used to send packages to Owen's house in college and she always addressed them to Owen Chikachikaboomboom ;)
Wow! Wow! And wow! So, last week was my favorite before the week before that and well, this one is my favorite! Travel. People. Chasing sunsets, mountains, beauty and awe…oh, and the cute furry ones spinning in the water. Connection to self, people, partners and the land are so emphasized when one is out there taking it all in experientially. I love this series. You two have an amazing gift. The Luna moment was tender and touching…sigh! Lastly, I so appreciate you taking a break. As an elementary school teacher for 20 years I can appreciate the need to recharge, rest and rejuvenate one’s spirit and soul. Be well, M&O. Lori Lee
Thank you for the great video. My wife and I are moving to the Kenai area early next Summer. By the way, to open the sealed lid of home-canned goods, first unscrew the threaded band part of the lid, then with both hands, hold the jar and the band in such a way that you can use the outer bottom edge of the band as a prying lever to lift the outer edge of the sealing part of the lid. Once you break the seal, lifting off the lid becomes easy.
This is the first video of yours I have seen but it certainly won’t be the last! As a former professional photographer I appreciate the amazing videography. And you do such a great job of moving the story along with interspersing a variety of shots as you go. Glad I found your channel!
So beautiful you capture everything with such an artistic eye, storytelling so captivating. I love capturing my adventures but I have kept them with in my small cycle of family and friends you have indirectly encouraged me to finally share my adventures thank you so much. You guys are truly one of my favorite UA-camrs I’m excited to see your next episode.
wow, I'm blushing. Thank you so much for the kind words. These videos are a real labor of love for us, and to know that you pull inspiration from them is just icing on the cake!
Another great video. I laughed when you sat down at Beluga Point, because I’ve done so at least a couple dozen times, all months of the year, and never got lucky enough to see them. How awesome that you got to go out in Kachemack Bay in your friends’ boat! Kayaking amongst the icebergs was super special! I can’t wait to see the rest!
Around the time I moved to Alaska, 2001, they switched to letting cars drive through the Whittier tunnel. Cars used have to drive up onto a flatbed train car and ride in their car, on a train car, through the tunnel.
You had me at otters & eagles but coffee milkshakes just takes it to a whole different level. 💖 Thank you so much for sharing your adventures and for all of the cinematic hard work that makes it a joy to behold. 💞 -Troy & Aimee
I’ve said it before and I’ll continue to say it, you guys continue to put out the absolute best content hands down. Nothing out there can hold a candle to what you’re doing. Thank you again for this.
Seems you got pretty lucky with the weather. I had about 85% rain and temps averaged 45-50's. But the flip side was we had no mosquitos. I hope you get back and drive the Dalton Hwy and Dempster in the Yukon. Oh and Top of the World from Dawson City Yukon to Chicken AK. Especially love this video. I heart Homer too
Yeah we really did luck out. It all depends on time of year. Towards the end of our time on the Kenai it was windy and rainy far more than it was sunny. Made us thankful for the good days we had!
I am a lifetime outdoor sportsmen, who even slept in Florida swamps in a tent surrounded by hundreds of gators several winters while fishing, but never made it to Alaska like I would have loved to have done. My words cannot express the magnitude of these experiences you make available to us, what can I say to help you get even more profitable sponsors?
Indeed, better and better! Very impressive. Such a great montage of visuals, music and narration. Such an awesome place to see and experience! Very well done. Still, very sad that Luna is missing. 😢
Without hesitation I will state that these are some of the most beautiful images of this area of Alaska that I've ever seen! Not to mention that the tears are rolling down my cheeks with the mention of your dear kitty, Luna.
Wow, thank you! So the birds were getting scraps from the local fishermen which is why they were hanging around so much. Which, we would take all day! Gave us a lot of time to really enjoy the birds!
thanks a lot for all your videos !!! we can feel all the energy you put in ! we have a tundra camper as well and I am interesting by your feed back about your wheels and tires and what is the size of your tires ? many thanks for our weekly rendez-vous a Frenchy family
In our van we do “snacky dinner” which is our version of your “fancy feast” But i must know what were int he cans. It looked like one was canned halibut? What was in the jar you couldnt get open? I leave for alaska in a month! I must know!
Beluga point is named for the view of a community across the inlet named Beluga. Though it is a common place for whale watching. The Beluga whales travel through the area in July and August.
Did you guys ever make it out to Wrangell-St. Elias. It is the best and easiest way to get onto a glacier. Seeing your videos reminds me of my month long trip before covid. Such a beautiful place, did you get to hike Mt. Marathon while in Seward?
The part of Luna was a killer, I recently left and sold my house in the NE and fully timing and a month the sale of the house I had to put down my horse that I took down after 25 years of taking care of me at the age of 30. Animals are the best.
I am wondering did you all ever have any issues with bears coming near or close by to your truck and camper at all in Alaska? What would you do in that situation if it was trying to break in or something on account of smelling food? Just curious because I really hope to do this someday and this would be a worry of mine but from what I've seen it seems everything went just fine. Thanks for these videos they are so inspiring to me and I hope to meet you all on the road someday :) safe travels~!
Maybe it would be better to name the episodes after the bigger picture of what you are doing, like “Alaska Road trip, heading into the mountains” instead of the more activity based focused titles “fishing in Hamlet Lake”. I assume a lot of people might find the first style of title interesting and tempting. This is a theory and feedback that comes from love of watching your great videos. Love from Denmark
Video editing is great and love the flow the only reason I cant make it through the videos is the upwards and downward inflection of your voice. It's wildly irritating

You continue to set an absolute standard for adventure travel cinematography. BRAVO. Updating my itinerary for Alaska. Travel safe.
Making me blush. Thank you, this series is really special to us
I am so impressed you made it to Halibut Cove!
My wife and family will attest that the world shuts down for my "Alaska" shows. This series has become a part of that repertoire. Thank you so much for the kind words. It means so much to us that we can contribute to your love for Alaska!
Another 5 Star Presentation. Bravo!!!!! Love these series.
Had to stop….tears…..there’s that empathy again…..we carry those we love with us, everywhere and always. Promise fulfilled. Tears have subsided, back to the episode.

Spectacular!!!!! Very well done thank you for all your hard work!!!!! Thank's

You all do such excellent work. Blown away!
Awww thank you so much!

We are absolutely loving this series! You made us cry with the Wonder Woman costume for Luna 😿 Those sea otters were too cute!! Beautiful places and critters, can’t wait to see it for ourselves someday! Can’t wait for next week’s episode!
I have said it before… and now I’m saying it again. You guys deserve a Netflix gig or something. These episodes just keep getting better!
HA! I'd very much like that. Maybe some day ;)
The AWESOMENESS continues...Kokopelli pack rafts in the future?? Great piece of gear to have
We now have two @alpackaraft now ;)
So many neat things in this one!

What an absolutely fantastic and beautiful place Alaska is and your series is definitely making it harder to make any excuses to not get there someday

Yeah, we feel so lucky still to have been able to do that!

@@BoundForNowhere you saw Denali AND beluga on your first trip to Alaska!!!!
Thank you guys! This was so enjoyable to watch. Great work!!
The color shift on the mt range was mindblowing! Halibut Cove archway and coastline was so cool! Gorgeous species and photos! 🦅 Happy Earth Day 🌎
Isn't it?! Gosh we were sleep deprived from all the sunsets and sunrises we stayed up for there! Happy Earth Day to you too!

Well done!
Thank you so much!
watching from Bangkok TH, very good video and content.
Both puffins & otters are otterly amazing & beautiful:)
HA! I see what you did there ;)
Cori and Dave are literally the coolest and friendliest people in Alaska!
Great video, Alaska is beautiful - I hope one day we will make the long trip there.
It felt so sentimental watching this. Beautiful video and epic adventures. 🤍
Yeah, she was our girl, it's impossible to not get a lil sentimental when she comes up
Anchor Point was one of our favorite places during our trip in June 2022

Love the view of Katchemak Bay. Been there twice.
So beautiful isn't it?!
Thanks for making me cry!! I can’t wait to have me wedding there! 😭
That will be the most magical place to get married!
Indeed, better and better! Very impressive. Such a great montage of visuals, music and narration. Such an awesome place to see and experience! Very well done. Still, very sad that Luna is missing. 😢

WAIT WHAT! We LOVE local honey and need to try it!

Coffee milkshakes - that originated from Rhode Island
I've seen 24 beluga whales at that spot on Turnagain Arm back in the 90's 🙂
Some farries actually port in Whittier?
