Lovely ride Nick. I enjoy reconnecting with your channel after a few months away. I recently took my Eldorado out for a 5 day tour with my mate on his R80. We just rolled along at a leisurely pace enjoying the scenery here in northern Australia. The Eldo didn't miss a beat. Such lovely bikes to ride still after 50 plus years. All the best from Phil in Darwin NT.
Hi Phil, thanks, and glad you had an excellent ride on your Eldorado. Did five days even get you out of NT?😁. Mine is being a pig at the moment. I think the coil is on its way out. Must put in a spare today. All the best and safe riding. Nick.
At the pace we were riding we didn't leave the NT! I am contemplating a trip down to the Guzzi rally in Victoria next year. That would be a round trip of about 10,000 KMs. Good luck with the coil. After watching your video where the coil broke down I now carry a spare along with a condenser, points and distributor rotor and cap. Belts and braces as it were. All the best Nick. Phil
Your videos have inspired me to ride the Highlands. Just completed a two day loop covering several of the suggested motorcycle routes. Thanks for the videos.
Thanks for another great little video, Nick. We all love them. I've just plodded home from work thru the country lanes of Leicestershire, on my Bullet 500. Somehow not as interesting 😞
Hi Nick, Always enjoy your videos and audio books, listen to them when I go for walks with my dog, my 12 year old English Setter, keep up the good work , I hope to try out some of the trails you have featured , Close to retirement looking forward to the extra time I will have. Thanks Ken
Love your adventure bike as always! I have a KLR and I'd certainly be more comfortable on my bike, but then it doesn't sound cool like your old Eldorado.
@@nick949eldo I didn't think so,going back looking at older videos I never saw one. I ride the old convert through some one lane gravel roads a lot and was thinking of covering it up but have never had a problem. Like you say , avoid the big stuff. Thanks much sir
@merlelowe2368 the only thing that has even come close to being satisfactory with the Akaso is when using an Akaso microphone tucked out of the wind in my pocket. Most of this video was shot with a Gopro12 using the built-in microphone. I wasn't happy with the wind noise so I drowned it out with the music.
Haha. I knew someone would comment on that. I'd been playing with the camera and hadn't bothered to put it back on. It was safely tucked in my crutch. 😁

@@TheRubbersoul1991 Big country you have. Good luck with the trip.
Excellent Nick, always great to get away from the maddening crowds
Looks like a great loop Nick. I hope to make it to that area some day. Thanks for sharing.

@DaveGeezer thanks Dave, that's great.
Great vid as always Nick and the Guzzi sounded awesome.
I'm old enough to remember when ADVs were called dual purpose.
Not a garage queen. Beautiful scenery Nick, and nice loop they put together. Enjoyed the video Nick and RIDE SAFE OUT THERE!
As always, a great video. Always jealous of the lack of traffic!
@@Tired_wirey_brandy_look. We are lucky in that regard.😀
Love the old Eldo’s “oh…ok” starting sequence…😊

Oh I don't know. I loved the Bullets I rented to ride in the UK. Great bikes. I'd give a lot for a Leics pub to ride to. Other man's grass....etc.

Thanks Ken. Much appreciated. Dogs are wonderful companions. Pet him/her for me 😀.
Love the old Eldo’s “oh…ok” starting sequence .
someone beat me to it with the Michael Jackson analogy, but I must add that the Video is a Thriller... (I'll get me coat)

Thanks Mark. KLRs are great, and a little lighter than my Eldo 😀
Another awesome video. Was wondering if you have a skid plate on the Eldorado.
@@jeroldkohl4094 no skid plate. I try to miss the big rocks 😆

Hi nick is your new breva not better suited to these roads? Thks
The Breva is fine, but nothing beats the low centre of gravity (and the gravitas) of an old Loop Guzzi on unpaved back roads.
Hi Nick, what microphone do you use? Been trying a few things with my Akaso 7 but end up with bad audio in nearly every case.
