Amazing for your video of Timber Trail Adventure Motorcycle Camping | Ride The Highlands. I admire you. You are a good driver. I love your video. Thanks for sharing.🥰
Thank you for the time and energy into pioneering amazing loops, routes, and adventures. Hoping to have an interesting variation route to show you soon! Safe riding!
I love your video. I am in the west GTA and you got my keen attention when I heard you say "house" so I had an once of hope this would be in Ontario. I ride a KLR, modded to the gills and looking for more than just the dirt roads north of Georgetown or Pickering area. This looks like a ride I would do, but my Dunlop TrailMax Mission wouldn't be up to par.
Thank you ! Glad you enjoyed it ! Appreciate your comment and you are correct only a few hours north east of you. This trail is totally doable in your bike if you have the proper rubbers !! I’m not a big fan of street riding which allows me to run dirt tires even tho I need to put fresh ones on regularly
Great video, I'm subscriber 284 (I believe) can't wait to get up there and ride this one, loved the commitment to the shot of the heron Hahaha... Cute turtle, loved the mist over the lake in the morning. Love your commentary, some people tell me I talk too much on my videos, maybe you've heard the same but I think it's definitely the minority. Well done keeping the locals happy with our riding! I'm part of the 20% now Cheers!
Loving this comment and those who think there’s to much talking can turn down volume hehehehe and plus it’s fun to feel like you are talking to someone while on solo adventures! Yes this one is definitely worth the ride so get on it soon while the leaves change colour
I’ll be riding the TT last weekend in Sept 2024. Really appreciative of Ride the Highlands and the way they’ve put these adv routes together. I rode the Gravel Crusher late August, and the PickAxe last fall!
@@marcuselia5329 you will love it ! Perfect time of year as well ! Maybe I’ll see you out there! Thanks for sharing your experience! Big fan of ride the highlands as well. Have you checked out my pick axe loop motovlog ?
Thanks for sharing. I think we are going to do Timber Trail next summer. I'm surprised as to the amount of asphalt riding for an ADVenture loop, TBH. The call my mom section is as expected - rocky, wet sections, kind of like Paugh Lake loop but maybe a touch rougher. I would certainly want to do that call my mom section during the dry season. Some of those water crossings look like they can get pretty deep during the wet months. After listening to your DR go through the rocky section the power delivery and low end torque sounds the same as my KLR, no need to rev it into the power area and feather the clutch, just keep the revs low and let the torque pull you through.
@@ArcticJeff thanks for the comment! Yah it’s a lot of pavement for sure, a bit much for my likings. I’d encourage doing it this fall during the colour change! It’ll be awesome! If you have good tires the puddles on call my mom are not to worry, it’s all very basic. And yes those inclines are best at steady low torque when loaded up with all the camping gear. Different story if I was riding light weight heheheh! Keep me posted on your adventures! I’m always up in and around that area 🙌
@@breathofadventure will keep you posted. My buddies and I are tackling the new Gravel Crusher loop on Mon. Might try to do it in 1 day since it's just north of us.
I didn't have decent off road tires, mine were 90/10's, I did it, but I'd appreciate a more aggressive tire if I do it again next summer. Did you come across the big water crossing like I did? ua-cam.com/video/MZ9EpSMOSPg/v-deo.html
So much fun on the dirt tires and yes I did hit that water crossing. I didnt have my gopro on atm. I just fully went for it right away because I hadnt heard of anything crazy deep on this route. Plus is was getting later at night and I was not turning around, so I went full send mode hahahaha
Let me know if you have done the Timber trail or are looking to do it !
is this in oregon?
@@Rigatonispaghettioly unfortunately not, this is southern Ontario !
