TRUE! I’m too far away from any of these gray hair artists. So when I got about 2 1/2 to 3 inches of gray hair grown out, I just shaved the rest of my hair off 😂 quick and easy. My hair was back to a good length within two years and I was surprised at how well I pulled off the shaved super short hair considering I have a long face.
I got tired of having my hair colored to match the 3 shades of blonde I had, plus the cost so I let it go all natural a long time ago. I had a co worker ask me about it during the transition and I told them I was going all natural and if I didn't like it I could always get it colored. I have been all natural for at least 10 years with no regrets. My hair is white, silver, & gray and I have gotten compliments on how pretty it is.

I’m 26, and literally my whole life I’ve thought gray/white hair was the most beautiful thing. It reminds me of my grandmother who was strong and powerful. She always embraced the gray, because it was like a celebration of life and a statement saying, “I’m blessed to have lived these years and still be doing well in life.”
I’m 50 and mine is literally platinum. I was a blonde who used to highlight it constantly. Now it is naturally highlighted with tons of silver. I quit dying it in 2015 and I’m so glad I did!
I asked 10 different stylists in my area (metro-Detroit) to do this to my hair and NONE of them would. Every single one told me it would be too damaging to my hair (not colored but going gray hair). SO I waited 4 years, and it wasn't easy, but I now have 100% my own color.

I let my natural white grow in years ago, but recently I’ve been using color shampoos and conditioners. They come in every color and they wash completely out pretty fast if you don’t refresh them. On white hair, you should only use the pastels or else the darker more vibrant tones could stain. But even then, you can get the color out without bleach, just might take a while longer. It’s a great way to change without commitment and without dye, peroxide, or bleach. But Jack Martin is the best when it comes to gray matching, he’s awesome.
I’m so excited to get old and go gray. My mother’s hair has been gradually lightening and now has a mixtures of gray, red, and blonde in the front. Very beautiful
For some it actually is grey, for others, it is white, some are silver, some have a mixture, but "grey" or "gray" is just a blanket term for any of those colors. I do have to agree with you, silver is gorgeous! My mother went grey when she was in her 20's, and dyed her hair for roughly 17 years. I talked her into not dying her hair and allowing it to go grey back in the early 1980's and she never went back! That was during a time that many women would have their hair "frosted," as they called it, not an inexpensive process, either, which is what some of her friends thought she was doing, while it grew out, but the joke was on them, lol! 😜
@@mycreativeheart4159 it is! My mom is in her mid 70s, and the other day we went to lunch and she asked me what I had put into my hair to make it sparkly. I said 52 years…😂
@@loosilu my friend is 50 and has been using henna for 20 years. She started going grey at 30. She has the most gorgeous healthy long hair I have ever seen. I might try the henna route, but would not mind to go fully gray either
@@l.pmoonstone5067 Henna is wonderful! I used it for a few years. I think I stopped because my friend who helped me with it moved away, lol. I'm almost 55 and this year, since I WFH, I got really lax on tinting my hair. I'm naturally dark strawberry blonde, and now, as it turns ou, I'm a natural pale blonde. My friends love the natural color on me, so I'm trying it out!
@@l.pmoonstone5067 I was genuinely shocked when I got compliments on my roots. I always thought when red hair goes gray, it's ugly. That's why I've colored it for more than 25 years. Then I remembered I have an aunt who is 80, the only sister born blonde, and when her hair went white, it was gorgeous with her blue eyes and rosy complexion. She constantly got compliments on the beautiful color. Maybe I am, like her! that is so cool!
You are actually over the rough time, the 1/2 -3" of gray. Try updos, different styles, and there are conditioning masks that can add some color to camouflage while growing it out. Depends on your "dyed" hair. I loved ION Titanium mask. Good luck, be creative.
When I decided to go natural with my gray hair, I shaved my head to start over, when my hair grew out, I could not believe how beautiful the color is and really why did I wait so long????? Yup society, but I am good in my own skin and anyone who does not like it, don't bother with me, I get more young men hitting on me than ever before since I went natural. Not interested men, not interested, hahahahahaha. Love my hair!
I have nearly all gray but for the past year I've been tinting it a medium chai brown with a temporary color. Now I'm trying to remove it with color oops which I have used twice now. It has been lightning each time, so I guess I'll just keep applying it. Hopefully only once or twice more will do the job maybe three more times. Thanks for the video.
The problem i find with my silver hair is that when it starts growing out. I can see my scalp through my hair and makes me look like im balding. But once i color it, it no longer looks that way. Partly why im hesitant to let it grow out
I bleached my hair to be 100% grey at 50 when my hair was about 20% grey. Unfortunately the grey was framing my face therefore it looked much greyer than 20%. I was fed up covering it so I went 100% grey. I am still grey today, no regret :)
I went today to get ash brown so my gray would blend in and they ruined my hair, it was mustard yellow, gray, and dark brown. She asked me what I thought and I said “Really, would you wear your hair like this? “ She immediately offered to dye it back to my brown! I was utterly disappointed and paid big money for what ended up being a dye job to cover the gray! I think I will shave my freaking head and buy a wig til it grows out if this is the crap money buys! Worst experience ever!😢
The worst time is when you first start growing your gaur out. We're trained to cover the new hair growth. Don't, there are lots of ways to get through the first 6 months without permanent color. Love mine now, including the texture. Just keep it well conditioned.
I started letting my gray grow out about 15 years ago. I was 25 or 30 years older than most of my young associates and I wanted my years of experience to show. --- It took 3 tries. Twice I chickened out and colored it (I'm a brunette) and twice I was sorry. Finally I just cut it really short and let it grow out naturally. It's silver, white, and a bit of peppered in dark in the back and I'll never color it again. Took my partner awhile to come to terms with it. (His hair is stark white). Suddenly gray is stylish and women are letting their gray flags fly!
@@heyalicia2551 I am a brunette too and my silver is very white, and the other is also salt n pepper. I will love it when it finally does grow out and I am considering cutting it really short too as the stark contrast would be very difficult to tolerate. Did you let it grow long once it was gray or keep it short? Thanks for sharing your experience with me, gives me courage. Bless you 😇
I often feel people look older more tired with bleached or dyed hair. I used to bleach my hair, and after a while it always became dry, brittle and yellow. It did absolutely nothing to my face. I decided to grow out my natural hair color, a medium ashy and warm blonde level 7/8. i dont think i will ever put dye or bleach in it ever again.
Everyone wants to look young... - it's called taking care of oneself and being as healthy as possible.... it isn't all about "societies Standards" it is a BIOLOGICAL Standard The Point to Remember is that Videos like this PROVE that one Can Still look YOUNG and Healthy with Grey Hair
I have colored my hair for 30 years and I'm wanting to go grey. My hair is very short so I'll just let it grow out and get regular hair cuts until it's all grey. I just need to know what products to use so my hair will be a beautiful vibrant grey.
I think the key is uniformity. If you've dark hair the odd grey looks ugly and out of place. Several do look aging. So dying you hair all grey and it looks cool and shiny is fab.
❤🕊 It is MOST INTERESTING TO NOTE!!!! our hair goes SIILVER as we age.....not grey!! .... AND SILVER has always meant( from ancient times) VALUABLE !!!
How long will these rinses last on salt & pepper gray hair? I don't have any died growth just taking a while for my dark hair in the back of my head to catch up with the front and one side.
The grey hair color on the first model makes her look younger. All the models look beautiful. I'm in my 60s and want to go completely grey. But, my hairstylist says my face looks too young for grey hair. I'm sure there is a grey color that will compliment my warm skin tone and not age me. I believe warm skin tones look good with platinum or silver grey. I'll do lots of research to find the right grey color.
I'm really tired of hearing grey is an aging process..many many women have started getting gray in their early teens (like myself)..and 20's 30's and 40's..when you talk like that you sound just like society!!!
Here! Here! I was going grey in my late teens and have very grey hair in my fringe and my natural brown at the back. I'm 52 and people are mostly negative about my grey. I refuse to dye it!
@dessysmith2514 I bet it looks awesome..thatsxon them because they don't have the confidence to do it..plus you have made the healthier choice..good for you..I wish I stopped dying my hair long ago..but better late then never😊
I started getting little gray hairs when I was 25, it's just my genetics. I'm 37 now and I have gray highlights. When I get more then I go full gray like a boss.
I stopped colouring my hair in 2019…..lockdown worked wonders on that! I find it still has a lot of its original colour, kind of a $hit brindle brown, not very appealing to me. Of course it’s growing in at the crown so it’s taking a long time….maybe a real short cut will move it along? Don’t know what to do. Have a great day everyone.
Aww beautiful ladies with grey silver hair style. Love it. Jack Martin 👍, Jack Martin colorist, is there for sensitives skins as bcoz alergic to hair colours...

I haven’t had my highlights/lowlights done since October 2022. If I cut my hair in a bob,I’d have a full head of my natural hair color and it’s hideous! Dark brown ash color with very sparse gray. With Spring fast approaching, I’m really missing my highlights 😢but I’ve come this far so I’m gonna see it through
Some of the hair color videos are breathtaking, but the process is expensive and temporary. I have had terrible seborrhea for years. As an experiment I just rinsed my hair using some apple cider vinegar in water. For the first time, no seborrhea chunks, no dandruff. I think I was allergic to the materials in hair products. So my thoughts are this: we are so unhappy with our looks and want to obtain looks that we don't have naturally, and reach the unobtainable. Nothing is enough, not shiny enough, not straight enough, not curly enough. In obtaining this, somehow we damage our health. Leave yourself alone. Accept yourself, take care of yourself but don't overdo it. Be happy with who and what you are. Health is everything. We are so lucky to be alive, don't get distracted from this fact
You've hit the nail on the head! Beauty and health go hand in hand. It's important to care for your hair, but it's equally important to love it the way it is. Natural is always in style!
I've had gray hair to some degree since age 14. Now, at 60, I stopped coloring and have been fully transitioned for several years. My biggest issue is that the back of my hair continues to grow in as a dark gray, and my middle, front, and sides are completely white. Toner or purple shampoo tends to somewhat brighten the white parts ( yet I still constantly battle brass in those areas), but it darkens and muds out the darker gray part in the back. ( The color difference and constantly fighting the brass drives me nuts). My stylist and the others here in my small town are of no help. They won't do anything to help blend it, and they also dont want me to do anything to it either. They're like, dont do anything to it, you'll ruin your transition. But what they dont realize is how much I hate my hair the way it is right now and has been for too many years now. Not a day goes by that I dont consider either bleaching out the darker section or grabbing another bottle of color and just covering the entire transition up so it will match and not be brassy.
So, are you stripping the colour dye out with some product? My son has been trying to get silver/grey hair, but bleaching just yellows and dries his hair out?
That's why I never had try to put color my hair and my gray hairs starts more and I want it !I mean I love it and if I had a chance I chose a gray hair 😇
Would love to have this guy get ahold of my hair I'm transitioning to all grey/ silver from using red henna for approx 8- 10 yrs . It's so slow going!!
My natural hair is white in the front, and salt in pepper in the back. The texture AND volume is thin, and sparse. Menopause AND chemo was a double whammy for my hair to not have density. So I turned to topper hair pieces. Blonde with roots, made me feel better about myself because of the compliments I get on my “hair” style. Frances Fisher has a great head of hair, as the models in this stream. Please address what we, seniors with fine, thin hair, should do. It’s nice to showcase gorgeous hair, as something we all would love to have. Alas, we all were not blessed in that way.
Unfortunately I can’t get my hair like this…I’m currently a dirty blonde…from a dark brunette…it was as light as they could get it without burning my hair…so I’m using a box temp dyes (the lasts 6 weeks ones) while I’m waiting for grow out…as my hair is waist length…I’ll get back to you in 3 years 🤣🤣🤣
Hi, I have been dealing with growing out gray hair for 3 years. It gets so far grown out, a matter of an inch or two and i usually can't stand my hair 3 shades of gray, white, and yellow blonde in the length, so i color it totally to an overall ash blonde. It lasts maybe 5 weeks and then all washes out and I'm b ack to a yellowy blonde with gray roots coming in. I can use purple shampoo but it doesn't last. I was told I have to grow it out painfully for 2.5 years (I'm almost shoulder length,) before i can color it. All gray is fine. I'm not afraid of that but i was told to keep that gray, growing it out and BLEACHING out all color including the blonde is what i have to do to color it gray.I am a young looking 64, but the gray doesn't last ever and reverts back to blonde always in the length in a matter of a few short weeks. Why? What must I do? Can u help advise me? I've also done temporary c that don't last a few weeks. Is it true that i must bleach (damage) all color out and then color gray entirely? HELP!!!
Going grey can be a long and frustrating process, but it's also an opportunity for self-discovery and embracing your natural beauty. It's important to consult with a professional colorist who can help guide you through the transition. Stay patient and remember that your hair journey is unique and beautiful! 💖🌟
Stopped tinting my hair. Took 2 years to grow out ( the ugly period). I've never had so many compliments on my hair color before. Women love it & men are mesmerised by the white silver colour. 😅😅 plus it's on trend...
I keep telling my hairdresser that I want my hair gray, but it keeps turning light blonde. I am thinking she may not want to spend the time doing it gray. I have very short hair. May have to find a new stylist.

I call mine “ natural highlights” 😂🤣
@@juliapaterson2044 me too😂
It's sparkly!!!💖
@@mycreativeheart4159 it is! My mom is in her mid 70s, and the other day we went to lunch and she asked me what I had put into my hair to make it sparkly.
I said 52 years…😂
I’m 40 and only now have just started developing a few greys but when I do start going completely grey I’d totally embrace the change 😊
Many of us start graying much younger. That doesn't go over well.
@@loosilu that’s awesome!
Rock it girl!
This guy is a true artist ..beautiful
I’m having the same problem..3 inches of grey and the rest all brown..i so would him to do my hair! Amazing
You are actually over the rough time, the 1/2 -3" of gray. Try updos, different styles, and there are conditioning masks that can add some color to camouflage while growing it out. Depends on your "dyed" hair. I loved ION Titanium mask. Good luck, be creative.
Grey hair is so pretty. I'm 27 but I would kill for naturally silver or white hair
💇♀️🌟That sounds like an incredible journey! Embracing your natural hair color can be a powerful statement of self-love
Partly why im hesitant to let it grow out
I love my incoming grays!! I wish I could find d someone who could extend them throughout my hair without brassiness
❤ everyone's hair looks fabulous! 😊
She looks beautiful grey. Love it.
🌟She does, doesn't she? Grey can be such a beautiful and empowering color
The best part is when you stop chemically coloring your hair it gets so much shinier and healthier. Looks a million times better.
I bleached my hair to be 100% grey at 50 when my hair was about 20% grey. Unfortunately the grey was framing my face therefore it looked much greyer than 20%. I was fed up covering it so I went 100% grey. I am still grey today, no regret :)
💇♀️🌟That's an empowering decision, and it's great to hear that you're enjoying your natural grey hair!
Oh yes! Very helpful!
Hair not gaur LOL
Bless you 😇
@@TXNanna3 Thanks for sharing your experience with me. Bless you😇
Wow!! I wish this guy would do my hair!
How long does this process take is it a one visit or more? All the hair dressers I talk to say it’s several visits 😢
Gosh. I wish I could get him to color mine.
Those were GRAYT results ! 😂
😄"GRAYT" pun! It's wonderful to see how stunning silver hair can be.
Sometimes, returning to our natural hair can be liberating. I'm glad you found what works best for you! Nature knows best, right? 🌿👌
Thanks for video , it really is easier to let your hair grow out . I had to dye my hair when I worked but stopped when I retired . Feel better now .
🙏You're welcome! It's great to hear that you're enjoying your natural hair color.
I call my grey hair my "wisdom Highlights", and I earned them!
💖 "Wisdom Highlights" - I love that! It's a beautiful way to see your grey hair
I have colored my hair for 30 years and I'm wanting to go grey. My hair is very short so I'll just let it grow out and get regular hair cuts until it's all grey. I just need to know what products to use so my hair will be a beautiful vibrant grey.
Gray hair looks fine on some and not so good on others.
Long grey, white or silver hair women rock. As long as it is well-groomed.
I think the key is uniformity. If you've dark hair the odd grey looks ugly and out of place. Several do look aging. So dying you hair all grey and it looks cool and shiny is fab.
❤🕊
It is MOST INTERESTING TO NOTE!!!!
our hair goes SIILVER as we age.....not grey!!
.... AND
SILVER has always meant( from ancient times)
VALUABLE !!!
Your natural colour will always suit you
I'm really tired of hearing grey is an aging process..many many women have started getting gray in their early teens (like myself)..and 20's 30's and 40's..when you talk like that you sound just like society!!!
exactly it has nothing to do with age and if people stopped dying it then everyone else would realize people go gray at all ages.
So true... I noticed my first few gray hair at 21....
I got my greys as a teen too! 😉
Here! Here! I was going grey in my late teens and have very grey hair in my fringe and my natural brown at the back. I'm 52 and people
are mostly negative about my grey.
Stunning 😍👍♥️💯
Not sure if the third lady liked it or not but it looks stunning!!🤍
Шикарно и естественно. Интресно, как поддерживать волосы в таком виде 😊
Preciosas excelente trabajo. ¡Que vivan las Canas!
Where is this guy. I love what he does!!
In the video description you find all the details about this amazing hairstylist - Jack Martin
I love the look of my silvery gray hair so far! I wish I could find a natural way to remove the rest of the dark pigment.
I'm planning on doing this.
I’m ready to fly to California to you and have it done!❤
I loved it grey
I stopped colouring my hair in 2019…..lockdown worked wonders on that! I find it still has a lot of its original colour, kind of a $hit brindle brown, not very appealing to me. Of course it’s growing in at the crown so it’s taking a long time….maybe a real short cut will move it along? Don’t know what to do. Have a great day everyone.
I love gray hair
Beautiful 🌹🌹🌹
what did you use to take color out of these ladies hair and how to do it
Aww beautiful ladies with grey silver hair style. Love it. Jack Martin 👍, Jack Martin colorist, is there for sensitives skins as bcoz alergic to hair colours...
Can this be done with afro hair. I have permanent black ends and grey roots. Transitioning is taking far too long. I am being advised to cut my hair which I am reluctant to do.... please help!
I can't wait to have the courage to let it go
You actually look YOUNGER.
My greys are the heaviest along my temple which I hate because it looks like I'm balding in that area because the rest is naturally dark.. but coloring my greys I feel has made my hair thinner... Uuughgh@@Witchfoot.Incorporated

I haven’t had my highlights/lowlights done since October 2022. If I cut my hair in a bob,I’d have a full head of my natural hair color and it’s hideous! Dark brown ash color with very sparse gray. With Spring fast approaching, I’m really missing my highlights 😢but I’ve come this far so I’m gonna see it through
I love my gray hair.
Why is that so hard?
I think it’s awesome wish I could do that but ugh i have dark brown to
Black hair impossible to lighten to the silver without risking serious damage
MADE ME YEAR DIS VIDEO HAS,FANK U EVR SOOO MUCH 👍🏾💞🙏🏾🌹🕊🇬🇧
I've had gray hair to some degree since age 14.
💇♀️🤍Jack Martin is incredibly talented! I hope you get to experience his magic touch on your hair one day!
way better gray so beautiful
what are you using? is it a bleach and tone?
what color shades? Fantastic!
I love wisdom dust gray hair is so beautiful mine is almost there i can’t wait until God gives me the rest of my dust🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾❤️❤️❤️
They actually looked younger once they embraced it. Kind of funny how that works.
🌈 Isn't it amazing? Sometimes embracing our natural beauty can give us a youthful glow!
Stopped tinting my hair. Took 2 years to grow out ( the ugly period). I've never had so many compliments on my hair color before. Women love it & men are mesmerised by the white silver colour. 😅😅 plus it's on trend...
Im 36 and ive been getting very, very gray/white. So im thinking of making the transition to full gray/whitish...
🤍Going full grey can be a bold and empowering decision. Whatever you decide, do what makes you feel the most confident!
I keep telling my hairdresser that I want my hair gray, but it keeps turning light blonde. I am thinking she may not want to spend the time doing it gray. I have very short hair. May have to find a new stylist.
Hi ,I need your help, how do I go from black to gray, my roots are gray, and the rest black.
Look up silver sisters for support and methods to going gray on UA-cam. Some like the strip method, or just cold turkey.
All but one had four to six months grow out after stopping colouring.
What is possible when a mixture of natural colour and grey exists?
I’m 33 been going white since I’m 15. Idk if I’m ready to all the way yet. I’m so conflicted lol
🤔It's a big decision, and it's totally normal to feel conflicted. Remember, it's all about what makes you feel comfortable and confident!
I started going gray in my 20s. Now I'm 60 and no longer coloring my hair. I'm almost there
