I notice that they all have perfect makeup too but I like that. I am 77 and was so good with my hair and makeup into my 60’s but feel lost now that I am 77. I tried letting it grow long enough to pull it back in a claw but had it cut short recently and I saved #6 to look at and her makeup would be OK for my age. Many of these cuts take a real master stylist to do but are great for inspiration ❤
How about a cut that does not require so much styling? Even if I knew how to style my own hair I would not want to spend the time or money. A simple well done hair cut please.
I would like to see how fine and thin hair is transformed. Many older women have this problem, which is rarely addressed. I don't expect miracles, but I would love to see a great haircut and color.
Try to keep fine hair one length and not too long, that will make your hair look thicker. Use products that add volume. Ion makes a great mousse that is a hair thickener. There are also shampoo, conditioner, and styling products by Ion at Sally's Beauty Supply for fine hair. But too many products will make your hair limp but, you need to shampoo and conditioner fine hair several times a week to keep it looking full. Don't touch it a lot after you blow dry and curl. The oils from your hand will make your hair limp and oily. Fine hair will look thicker when you keep it short and one length. Bobs are great for that look as you see most of these women's cuts were just slightly different in length or slight layering mostly on thicker hair. I have fine hair and know what it is like to deal with it. Plus, I was a hairstylist. What changed for me was after I went through "the change" my fine STRAIGHT hair went CURLY! I guess it was the hormone change. I also take biotin to help me not to have as much fallout. The weird thing today in most high-end salons they don't do body waves. Body waves can help make your hair thicker if done on BIG PERM RODS, OR BIG PLASTIC HAIR ROLLARS. NO SKINNY PERM RODS OR YOU WILL HAVE FRIZZY FINE HAIR!
I find that to be the case most of the time. The stylist is looking for the WOW, but neglects to show the customer how to achieve it at home. OR, even what to do to make the style last longer than a day or two.
First, I completely agree about reproducing the style at home. If the stylist wants to show me a more “dressed up” glam style, great. That’s all well and good. BUT then show me how to style it from blow dry to finish for everyday. Second, about red hair color being hard to maintain, fading etc. I have to totally disagree based on personal experience. A stylist that I had been going to for years (well over 25 years ago, I was 36 or 37 at the time)took several years to convince me to go red. My husband and I have four sons, two of the are natural redheads. She finally convinced me that I had the right complexion etc to do it. (Besides I wore my hair pretty short then so if I didn’t like it, it wouldn’t take that long to grow out.) I was in love from the beginning. We tried many different shades of red, always stayed away from the orange reds. First the red was for fun, now at 63 for many years it has been to cover my gray. No matter the color/shade of red, I rarely see anything more than a bit of color coming off the first time that I wash my hair. My red has always lasted. I only need to wash my hair once a week, MAYBE 4-5 days if the weather has been damp, rainy, humid etc. I don’t stay in sun much, in fact hardly at all. I’m just not an outdoor person. So my red hangs on. I definitely get my money’s worth. ❤
I had thick wavy hair when younger, went to a stylist who ended up chopping it all off and using a razor on the sides and back. My hair was shorter than my brothers and made me look butch which was pretty devastating to someone who had been looking forward to going to college. My mother bought me a wig which I wore til my hair grew out and learned to trim my own hair. Not everyone can wear super short hair with the right head shape and features.
For years I had been going to stylists describing what I wanted in a hair cut-style. I always watched very carefully how they cut hair. Now I cut my own hair and get exactly what I want. Above all it's perfect with my face shape!
Don’t cut your long beautiful hair…just trim ..I do it myself because never satisfied at a salon..I’m older now and I just fling it up in a bun .I will grow into the old lady with a braid to the side..We are the only culture that thinks you should cut your hair..no..
My mother kept my hair short my whole childhood, so I never really learned how to style it until I was well into adulthood (I didn't even know it had a natural wave!). For the last 30 years or so, I usually kept it shoulder length, and always liked how I looked. When Covid hit, I quit cutting OR coloring my hair, so it has been four years since I had more than the ends trimmed. The last time I had a real cut was to get rid of the last of the color, or my hair would be much longer. Now, it's pretty long, thick and silver-gray. And, like a lot of older women, it's a little frizzy and has a mind of its own. While I would love a new cut, and an easy, natural style, I have never found a stylist who really listened to me, thinking they knew just what I needed, instead of what I wanted. I currently live in Maryland, USA, so if anyone knows a good stylist in the state, PLEASE send me their name!! THANKS!!!
I'm 72 & for some reason, hairdressers think older women should all look like they're ready to enter the military!! I don't mind short hair. I DO mind looking like I'm just about bald
Right? It's all Bland brown boring bobs or boy cuts with a few differences. I'd look so ugly and be crying immediately if I saw most of these as my 'after' hair. I know I'd be asking the salon manager for a refund. The long blonde style and some of the red styles were nice and some of the longer bobs were ok on the person, but definitely not stunning except maybe the longer blinde snd red styles. But the first 15? NO THANKS, no way.
Lol I have just had a haircut and yeah it looks awesome but I'm forever flicking annoying bangs out of my eyes all day long. And it's not long enough to tie up now. But it's so so cute 😂

Why do they ALWAYS cut long hair so short?! Long and medium length hair has SO many beautiful in-between options but NO straight to pixie! 😳 No thank you. Kudos to these brave women, some looked about to cry. Been there, never again.
I agree with giving them a fresh new look but many of these extreme long to short cuts are way over the top. The models may be smiling but we all know there will be tears later. 😢
Some of the women look so beautiful but one of them went from a beautiful woman to a boy!! Sometimes the short cuts do not suit the girls and you can see it on their faces!!. Yes they are drastic but some really lost their beautiful looks. I also think some of the hair cuts will be a nightmare to style for some of them.

Abgesehen davon hab ich keine Zeit und erst recht keine Lust meine Haare morgens eine Stunde zu stylen bevor ich zur Arbeit gehe. Lang lebe langes Haar!!! It is incredibly expensive to highlight your hair and to go back for a touched up every 6 weeks in South Africa 🇿🇦. I wish I could afford it! The easiest and most in- expensive way is to let my hair grow and just tide it up just to look better. I'm 62 years old and have a lot of very curly hair! Short hair for me is a lot of work and always a battle with the curly hair to keep them in control 😢
I’m a retired colourist….some colours I don’t agree with…they could had been more multi-demential; in an organic looking way. And some of the blonds fabulous.
I did a lot of colour helping my mother and these grey mouse browns just scream "It's the in colour at the workshop I went to" and "I secretly hate all my clients"
@@wendyponsford7428 Do they? I imagine there were some tears later on with some of them. The short cuts are awful in my opinion, but, hey ho, they keep hairdressers in business.
@laura-loves-god Sometimes people just get fed up of having to deal with their hair so they chop it off. I went from long hair to a pixie cut and it was so liberating. The good thing is, it grows back.
@lisablinn3264 People always say it will grow back, but it's taken me 20 years to try grow my hair long and even now it's only just past my shoulders. When my hair is short I have to do more to it to keep it looking okay and the more I do ruins my hair which breaks easily, so yes, it grows back, but for some people it takes many years.
These woman had the same hairstyle for years. A dramatic change sometimes is needed. And these hairdressers are giving them a edgy cut they never would have had the guts to get themselves. I Think this is so great! And ITS JUST hair. It will grow BACK.
Real problem with short hair cut is that after washing hair the lady does not know what to do that mess and she is need to go the hairdresser to style it back 😅.
100%. My best friend always looked great in short slightly spiked hair, I went for the look and it was horrible on me. I only look good in longer hair with highlights. She has big blue eyes and a small nose and naturally textured hair I have smaller brown eyes more prominent nose and limp hair. Women tend to go shorter as we get older but it may not work for them I’m sticking with longer and blonder the short pixie does not do it for me at all
All these ladies look instantly classier, sexier, and more expensive, and on trend. Maintaining your hairs condition whether enhanced or natural, makes you look like you take care of yourself because your positive sense of self worth demands it. Hair grows back. You are worth it ladies. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise, especially another woman. If they do, it reflects their poor self image, not yours.
Every hair stylist is so gifted. Lovely to see how they are able to transform the women, like uncovering their best selves. From the looks on the women, they seem happy with the transformations, which is even more difficult to achieve. I actually cried after one haircut. It was beautifully done, but it did not reflect me, so I was miserable until it grew out. To deliver a beautiful cut that reflects the individual is true genius.
I'm addicted to watching the different reactions. Some are happy and willing to go The whole way.😊🎉❤ Others are like.. Oh my gosh what have i DONE!😮😢 And then they're in love with the RESULTS!🎉🎉
This was so fun to watch! #3 looks so cute with that short hair!! There were so many wonderful transformations... I can't list them all! Thank you for this video! I wish we could've seen more of the last one, but the box showing the next video was blocking it.
I had this all done. My hair grows real fast. A month later I was in for a touch & bought more of the expensive make up. Next time I waited 6 weeks it cost even more. The hairdresser said my hairvgrew faster than she'd ever seen. I kept it all up for years. Nails too. I retired to the country with land & livestock ❤ Now I do all my own stuff & I look good 👍 ❤ . This is fun to look at but now I know it's not for me....FREEDOM 😂 Learn to do your own.
all I keep thinking is... wow! good luck recreating that on your own at home lol! I could never do a makeover like this since I'm unwilling to spend the time on my hair. to each their own!
The long to short hairstyles were awful. I think a lot of people don't realise that the shorter the style, the more work you have to put in to make it look okay. Long hair is so much easier to maintain.
Only 4 of them looked good afterward. Everyone else ended up looking far older and/or much less attractive! I just hope they are all happy with the results because I cringed so hard for the majority of them.
@@peggycilliers8223 Yes, but there's so much more you can do with long hair, so many up-do's, braids, etc. Short hair just is, and there's nothing you can do about it. Been there, done that 😥

To show movement throughout the hair
To make the hair look thicker. They pull all the hair from the back.

Same UK.My hairs 😢😢😢 .
Same here in the USA. And humidity just wrecks any style I try to put in my hair!😡
It's almost always cut to really short. Some were not flattering at all. And those " air tweeks" to front sides are really irritating.
Would like to see a good cut without changing the color and without the additional makeup.
Bobs, bobs and more bobs - alrighty then! 🧡
I agree. This stylist is a 2 hit wonder. A bob and then the super shirt boy cut.
@@countrychickbrews4640I don't think the r in shirt was needed.
So many look great but how easy will it be for them to recreate that look every day?
New hair do and new makeup makes them all beautiful. 🤩
All the ladies looked lovely but the pixie cuts and Auburn hair color were amazing 🌻
Not everyone wants a Bob or a pixie
These women do!
Clearly they all got just what they wanted & they all look younger & much more happy after a professional! 🤩
Tears of happiness for these women
The makeovers make these women look younger and stood out their beauty.
Number 11 was a miraculous change! The cut & make up transformed her and she sparkled!!! Amazing! 🙌
Wow. what a good hairdresser and good make-up can do for a woman
The key word Is "good".
Obviously not this video though....
Des MIRACLES, VERITABLES MIRACLES, QU'ACCOMPLISSENT CES ARTISTES -COIFFEURS !! 🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
Когда густые волосы-можно фантазировать бесконечно!
#11!!!!!! Your curly hair is absolutely gorgeous!!!!! Just amazing how ehat you naturally have was brought out!!! MODEL HAIR AND FACE❤
I like these because the results are fast but I don’t like very short hair.especially the back.looks like men’s.
# 11 @ 4:00
Gorgeous!!! ❤
Most styles are stunning. Some too drastically short.
Some of these were beautiful and some of these not so much.
Too many are obsessed with short hair, I chopped mine off years ago and never again. It's too much work and constantly maintaining the look. No thanks
Beautiful..nice to see overlong hair gone..much more stylish and civilized.
I do find long hair quite boring.
These ladies really needed color help but with that and styling the short hair is too much. Not a fan. A bit harsh
These woman had the same hairstyle for years.
A dramatic change sometimes is needed.
And these hairdressers are giving them a edgy cut they never would have had the guts to get themselves.
I Think this is so great!
And ITS JUST hair.
It will grow BACK.
I agree.. Some of those styles are way too manly
Looks like is what those women wanted. They choose what hair cut they want. Do I don’t see what’s harsh about it.
@@margaretburnham5683?
Real problem with short hair cut is that after washing hair the lady does not know what to do that mess and she is need to go the hairdresser to style it back 😅.
Wäre schön wenn die Haare noch mal verwendet werden Perücken usw.
Some are great, some are horrendous.
Artists, pure art 🤗
Bobs look sophisticated. Ultra shot pixies are only ok on women with small features and big eyes.
100%. My best friend always looked great in short slightly spiked hair, I went for the look and it was horrible on me. I only look good in longer hair with highlights. She has big blue eyes and a small nose and naturally textured hair I have smaller brown eyes more prominent nose and limp hair. Women tend to go shorter as we get older but it may not work for them I’m sticking with longer and blonder the short pixie does not do it for me at all
Short hair 😂for me then.😂😮😅
So easy to manage n wash n go 😂😮😅🎉😅😮😅
Wow they all look 10 - 15 years younger. Great work!!!!!
But can they style it themselves? Some of these are amazing transformations!
Why do stylists always want to chop off long hair? Sometimes against one’s wishes. I learned the hard way to just cut my long hair myself.
Number 7 is a knockout!!! ❤❤
#7 was insane. Beautiful.
Oh no, poor No. 5 😢
Number 7..blew me away !❤the cut brings out the ladies beautifull face ! X
No. 5 made her look older 😮
I'm addicted to watching the different reactions.
Some are happy and willing to go The whole way.😊🎉❤
Others are like..
Oh my gosh what have i DONE!😮😢
And then they're in love with the RESULTS!🎉🎉
They made the number 5 lady look really old with that haircut
This is fun to look at but now I know it's not for me....FREEDOM 😂
Learn to do your own.
Well done!
Looks like they all get make-up done for them too. : O
Realmente yo lo llamo arte felicitaciones a todos los estilistas ❤ desde Venezuela Helen
all I keep thinking is... wow! good luck recreating that on your own at home lol!
I could never do a makeover like this since I'm unwilling to spend the time on my hair.
to each their own!
I believe that a lady should have hair, it's her crown and glory.
@carriepearcey2597 They've all got hair! And that's 'crowning glory'
The smiles on these women faces is wonderful!😊
The long to short hairstyles were awful. I think a lot of people don't realise that the shorter the style, the more work you have to put in to make it look okay. Long hair is so much easier to maintain.
I wish that I could find a stylist who could transform my hair like with these ladies. Great job!
That poor lady at the end with the pearls. 😢
I bet most of these ladies left the salon thinking “I’m never going back there again!”
Only 4 of them looked good afterward. Everyone else ended up looking far older and/or much less attractive! I just hope they are all happy with the results because I cringed so hard for the majority of them.
"OH, I just love that you cut all your thick luscious hair off"
~ Said no man, EVER.
Like, in the history of "ever"
Sometimes long hair can make us look more older.....
I agree, sometimes the long hair will drag the face down. Doesn’t always work for everyone.
@@peggycilliers8223 Yes, but there's so much more you can do with long hair, so many up-do's, braids, etc. Short hair just is, and there's nothing you can do about it. Been there, done that 😥
Some people look good in long hair, some in short hair. I don't think it matters how old you are
10 is gorgeous.
How did 11 get the curls?? Hope you share!
Eigentlich sind es immer die gleichen Schnitte. Die Farbveränderungen sind meistens super!
Absolutely fantastic artistry! These are women that trusted the professional. Fabulous color work and the cuts were all so feminine.
