Awesome video series so far. Clear voice, easy to follow directions and speaking at the knowledge level of the audience. Well done! Subscription added.
Thanks for this, great. On another matter do you have idea how to get rid of the Red man ERROR message, the red man sits on the front of my aircraft all the time?????
Thank you for watching. I'm not sure what you mean by the red man. I should have a discord set up and linked to the UA-cam account later today. Keep an eye out for that and I can help you better on there.
@@DizzySloth02 The game has a bug when it doesn't load in an asset correctly, it instead loads in a basic model of a character holding a sign that says Error. I think when this happens to your FO/copilot, you can't see anything because there is a big character sitting outside on your prop.
Great tutorial, thank you! Quick question: For the VOR, once you’ve set it and you’re ready to head towards it, do you need to do the HDG bug step first to turn towards the VOR? Or can you just skip that step and activate the NAV directly to turn you and get you on track to the VOR?
So the frequency you set up is that of the VOR and not the LOC ? I havent looked at the charts (im in europe so skyvector doesnt give me charts) but does every chart have a LOC Frequency and a VOR one?
@@iceweasel2199 It was a VOR frequency. You can sometimes find localizer frequencies on charts but they aren’t used for navigation and instead used for identifying points. Provided gps wasn’t available.

Or you click HDG and turn the heading bug to the aircraft flys towards the GPS track that you can see on the MFD
Suggestion: explain the usage of the Back Course button and how to use the VNAV system. Just found your channel, great job, great explanation.
Great suggestion! I will be making another video going over IFR operations and those will be included.

Great stuff!
Good job, subbed.
Thank you very much for the sub, keep an eye out, there's a lot more to come.
This channel is going to become huge, I can feel it. The only short, to the point, easy to understand briefings I could find on UA-cam. Great work!
I'm glad you liked the video. Thank you for the comment; stay tunned for more. Constructive criticism is always welcome.
Your videos are great. Are you a CF-II irl?
Unfortunately, I can't claim that title yet. PPL with instrument working on commercial.

Best friggen intro to the G1000!
Ty bro
FYI all your frequencies are in the EFB. The EFB has all the charts/frequencies you need. No need to "google" them.
Great advice, i didn't realize that. I'll be sure to put that in my next videos.

You can try to activate NAV first. If nav doesn't react then turn toward it.
Do you have a preference on whether to use GPS or VOR for your navigation?
I like GPS most of the time because of the flight plan feature but sometimes I play around with VORs. VORs are more work is all.

Why is there a Green ROL and a Grey GPS where the Green GPS should BE for me?
