Got the S89C a month ago. It literally says it is a S90CB in the service menu. Deal of the century!
Yup. Literally the only difference between the two is the feet/stand.
You ever end up doing s95c mod since you mentioned service menu? If so, how'd it go?
@@haditahir9608 I have not yet done the Mod. It’s hitting nearly 1200 nits peak in HDR without it. Not sure I need any more brightness!
@j.rfrazier1855 No, honestly same. I was so worried about brightness being an issue coming from a Q90T which got as bright as a headlight but honestly it does get bright enough with all the energy settings off.
I've been holding off on it too but we'll see. When the 2024 OLEDs are in full swing and I find myself pondering whether I should've waited, maybe then will I treat myself to a little upgrade.
I mean the s89c with the s95c mod imo is better than the actual s95c. The One connect box is only 40gbps instead of the full 48 on the 89c.
That and it's half the damn price😂

I just ordered the Hisense 55 inch U7. I was wanting to go bigger, but don’t have the room for it quite yet. I plan to get a bigger and better TV when I get a new house but I think this should be a nice placeholder for the moment.
How long do you think 55 inch will be available on the high end. I see some high end TVs don't come in 55 inches but I'm 4 ft away from the TV so i really can't go bigger.

I got the s89c about a month ago and I still cannot believe this deal. This is hands down the best TV I’ve ever owned and maybe be too bright sometimes. I’m extremely satisfied!
Yeah it's crazy to me when I see a bunch of people online in comments trying to bash these things. Especially when they say stuff that flat out isn't true. I got the S90C and it's the best pocture I've seen since my old Kuro, easily.

Like that they have inaccurate colors (not true), burn in more easily (not true), have awful motion (not true), aren't as good as LG for gaming (DEFINITELY not true). It's like they collected a bunch of weird anti samsung propaganda and just rolled with it
Your thoughts on the 77" A80L to replace my 65" A80J? Best Buy has the 77" A80L on sale for $2,699, which seems to be the new stable price for it (as it's been that price for quite some time). I have a Sony HT-A5000 plus a pair of Sony SA-RS3S rear speakers. The combo of using the center channel out feature of Sony OLEDs to hook up to the sound bar is incredible. Yeah, I guess I'm a bit of a Sony fan boy...

How do you get free installation from bb with the purchase of the 89c?
For me it popped up when I went to check out it gives you the option to schedule delivery and installation/mounting and it says it’s free. Mine is scheduled for next week and I can’t wait!
Just bought the 77" Samsung S89C last Friday at Best Buy. The first movie I tested it with is Avatar: The Way of Water and MAANNN THE PICTURE IS BEAUTIFUL! The colors are so vibrant and the environment pops out at you, it looks like it's almost 3D. And of course the 4K image looks great as expected. I can't wait to try gaming on this TV. Most definitely worth the deal i got it for!
if I have 111.5 inches between windows - what size tv would you recommend so that it would not look to small - I was looking at the 77" LG G3, but fear it may be too small
I wish I had a smaller TV, says no one ever. Seriously, if you are able to sit far enough away you should think about a larger tv. From my experience size is more noticeable than picture quality any day. I downsized from about 105" screen (old 720p projector) to a smaller 65" 4k and I preferred to watch the larger screen. And these larger screens today are closer in quality. Unless you get the OLED97M3PUA.

I just got the A80L OLED from Best buy few months ago on sale. Amazing TV. I don't even buy or shop for anything else but Sony, they are just top notch in processing
I really respect the install videos (great wall mount guide), but in this one it feels like it misses something:
The 2022 models they want to sell for cheap. Yeah, the LG G3 is great and the G4 this year even better, but my G2 55 inch was around 1000$ and is amazing!
I know the same goes for other 2022 models - if there are any, it just makes sense price wise.
For the 100" class screens, Hisense U76N is a new model that has been $1,999 during super bowl week before and is a lot better than the S5 you mentioned. Just harder to get and at that price again.

Where I am at , U8K 75” aft tax: $1700. The 65” 75” all SOLD out at Canadian Bestbuy. The Costco had 75” sold out bunch times already like small restocks . In UK , AUS more brutal, 75” is like $2500 USD before their 20% tax.
Just got a Samsung S90C 77 inch for 1799 from video only in Portland Oregon. Also the gave me the brand new Samsung HWQ990D soundbar for 999 in a bundle with the TV.

Nope, brand new in box. Video Only in the Pacific Northwest has by far the best prices around here.
Here in Brazil, TVs are very expensive, the LG oled C3 65" costs 8 Brazilian minimum wages, you have to work 8 months to buy an LG oled C3 65"

Just ordered the Samsung QN90d
With my government employee discount I can get the Samsung QN90C in 85" directly from Samsung, delivered to my house, for $1919. IMO that's the most bang for the buck. My wife and I are going to be buying that this year sometime.

The Samsung Q89C is the holiday model I heard, so while an OLED, the guts of the tv aren't up to par with the other OLED. I"m probably going Samsung Q90C or LG C3. If I'm wrong on the Q89C, someone let me know how this OLED is so cheap!

Will I notice a difference in motion/upscaling if I choose Samsung s89c vs LG C3? All I care about is watching sports and I will be using Apple TV 4K box
In my opinion seeing both on the same relative settings and content, yes. The C3 blows the motion out of the S89C. Upscaling would be the same if running via an Apple TV but the motion interpolation and processing is the 2nd best on the market when going with an LG

I've never owned a LG TV, but I previously owned a Sonly LED. And was always plasma before that TV. I got a 77 S90C and to my eye at least, motion is fine. Either some people are genuinely just super sensitive to how motion looks on a TV, OR they're just sensationalizing the typical talking points. It's the internet so it's probably a combination of both. I'd suggest, if you feel the need to ask, then it's probably not something you'd notice. Not a single proper review of the new Samsung QD-OLEDs has been particularly critical of how they handle motion. In fact, HDTVTest's blind shootout had the S95C getting top marks in motion
They both should be good for using Apple TV. Does the work for the tv so it's less of an issue. The Samsung native apps glitch on me and I don't like the tizen for that
@@clarksters88I’m watching the NCAA Tourney on my S89C and the motion is incredibly crisp and clean. I’ve had this TV for 2 months now and zero issues. Best TV out there.

No, it's only WOLED overseas. In America, it's a gen 2 QD-OLED panel. Also the s90c in 55 and 65 inch have a panel lottery. Meaning you don't know if you're gonna get a gen 1 or gen 2 QD-Oled panel until you buy the T.V.
Only if you get a 77 inch is it a guaranteed 2nd gen QD-OLED.
And since the s89c only comes in 77 inch it'll always be a 2nd gen QD-OLED (in America)
And to just top it off if you didn't already know. S89c and s90c are the exact same T.V. besides the stand. Same panel and everything. Both the s89c/s90c even have the same panel as the s95c.
There are unofficial methods to convert your s89/s90c to the s95c.
You need a show strictly with price only in mind. What can a normal family put together for $1000.
