Makes no sense there is such a big price difference between the S90c and S89c. There has to be something that it’s lacking. Don’t understand why specs aren’t more clear and that no one seems to know or figure out if it’s apples to apples.

Picked up my first ever OLED. Absolutely loving my Sony a95L . HDR content is phenomenal. Even upscaling 1080p sdr is incredible. I feel like this tv will hold its on in years to come
I just recently got that Hisense 100” U76 for $1,999.99 delivered and mounted on my wall and it’s really good! It’s amazing how they were able to do it at that price and it’s a QLED, Full Array Display and 144mghz panel. I think it’s a step up from that TCL 98”….

Just ordered the S89C last night from Best Buy for $1799 with free installation/mounting and now their website says it’s completely sold out and delivery/installation not available. So glad I saw this video before I missed this incredible deal!
I just got a Hisense u8k 75 inch after much research and consideration. I wanted a size increase and I figure it’s got to have a better picture than my 6 year old Samsung Q6. My budget was 1500 and I came in nicely under that. I’m setting it up tomorrow and I can’t wait
@@legendsfcsantaclaritavalle9077 I’m not a sports fan so I haven’t experienced this. I definitely spent alot of time messing with the settings to get the picture the way I like. And sometimes I can’t get it all the way. But for 1100 dollars there is definitely alot of bang for the buck here.
is it worth buying a hisense tv from value electronics, because they offer testing and calibration. or at the best buy price, is it not worth the premium. Also, don't know if V.E. would price match best buy.
I rather get from Bestbuy. THAT TEsting, Calibratoin is like NOT GOOD. DO NOT get “professional calibratoin thru those Big Box” the Calibration ppl are just like “ installer” they are fallowing a script . I have seen ppl online complaining “i got U8K Paid Profesionall Calibration its so bad, wasted money”. Yeah Look at 2023- TV Shootout video, How gut crushing They make U8K look like . Also Testing. I dont even know what they are testing? U dont need to test tv really. If something is wrong it will pop out. Like black pixel (just massage it, half time it will fix the cone which stuck block the light) , or color went weird, there is NO need to do Testing. --thoes are Sales tacktick to try to pull customers. Like u know CAR Mechanic will always like exaggerate Somethign when they test, sometimes show off. My DUDE told me when he worked at place at 16 yr old. They will make him do like SENIOR mechanic work charge ppl a LOT of money . 😊d Accurate Color 😊DOES NOT exist. I took Science school. Professor /scientest train us how our eyes work n how to WATCH Tv. (Remember d Black/Blue dress? Vs White/gold dress debate). EVERYONE’s eyes are more sensitive to different color. Some more to White, Some more to Black. Some more red, some more green. D more red one will see yellow brown etc more different. Some more green will do the same etc. Yeah u just need to use remote n play with TV, turn “Brighness””Black level” down, turn contrast down for day time bright scene, then contrast slightly up for Dark movie. Sharpness , Motion smooth up for low resolution. Those ppl came in liteally will tell u ANYTHING< u will think they are expert. Most of them do NOT own Hisense, they prob make Hisense Look Uglier than I can make them nice at home. 😅
They check screen uniformity and look for dirty pixel and switch it for a clean tv, if found. They also calibrate a setting for both bright room and dark room watching.@@Yoga_Tv_buying
Where my budget to low budget buyers because the Samsungs U7000 and U8000 are decent tvs. In my experience Samsung TV’s last for a long time. I still got a Samsung Plasma from 2008
The question is does a 4k device, firestick or otherwise, upscale to 4k, or pass through content that is 4k, to the TV. It is my understanding that the only device that upscales to 4k is the Nvidia Shield. Might want to check into this aspect yourself. I have found it tough to find a straight answer when searching. Even if your device upscales to 4k your TV has to do it's own motion processing to produce the proper picture for its number of pixels and native refresh rate.
Brovo ! your reviews are very informative and well done. In your presentation of the LG G3 you seem to put a big emphasis on gaming and omitted any analysis of its attributes for watching sports on. Can you provide your opinion or critique as to why the G3 is a top tier tv for watching sports? Thanks.
I read the Samsung S95C one connect wire is only 6 feet ? I think that going to come up to short for many installs if you wall mounting and in wall wiring. There is not a longer wire per Samsung, so measure before you buy.
Love your videos great info. Up here in Canada we don't get some of those tv's and some of them are stupid expensive here s89c 77" is $4,699 at BB and the s90c 77" is $4,100 at BB LG c3 77" $3,799 LG g3 77" $5,999 at BB even when they go on sale we usually are still like a $1,000 more than U.S. prices or more it sucks
Great summary B! I marvel how you keep the details of these many models sorted in your head. As a former teacher I thought who would want a TV with a D grade? However last fall Costco was selling the TCL S4 58” for $279! I bought it for my pool house and it’s perfect for those viewing requirements.
i contemplated the TCL S5 98'' for atleast 2 weeks, and my waiting paid off, as i was able to snag it from best buy for 1999.99! I am more than happy with this tv and agree with everything you said about it. if you have the space for a 98, I would highly recommend ATLEAST giving this a hard look! @kimboslice1233 sorry, been super busy getting the mancave finalized! I got the TV on the wall last week. I have to say, for 98" for $1999, I am very impressed with this tv! I have yet to watch a 4k movie on it, but just watching 4k content on UA-cam has been really good! I'm actually amazed at how well it upscales! Granted it's not as good as my Sony 75z9j, but that sets spec's are way above the TCL. I'm not sure about the people stating it's not bright enough, because I watched it with lights on and it was plenty bright enough. If you're on the fence, I say get it at 1999 while it's available!
Whats up B... what is your opinion on the qn90b vs qn90c? Both would be 85" my concern is the VA panel in the qn90b is better overall compared to the ads panel on the C? I know you have reviewed both.. thx for your input
C3 vs s89c I still can not decide. 77 inch. I got the c3 with free install and mounting for 2299. The s89c doesn’t include install and is 1799 plus 250. I don’t know which to get, can you advise me? I am always uncomfortable with Best Buy exclusives. I got a QN84 from Best Buy, it was similar to QN85 but the build quality and speakers were crap and also the firmware updates were not helpful and broke some of the functionality for tuning.
@@BTheInstaller I bought a S89C last week and it is truly a gorgeous TV. Speakers are fine. I mounted mine with B Installer video help!! I’d say keep the C3 but the S89C in my opinion is a better TV. Brighter, more color and the best gaming TV on the market. That being said the C3 is very close. It’s a shame that LG didn’t include MLA with the C Series.
I came close to buying the 85” Hisense from Sam’s Club for $599 seems like a tremendous value. Nebraska Furniture is sell the 65” Sony OLED for $1,040 and they ship nationwide. Yet it wouldn’t be here in time for the game. So I am going to wait and see the selection of returns from Best Buy after the Super Bowl.
B 3 years ago you steered me to the A80J. We love it but its staying with the house. I need new tv's. In my living room over the mantle I need a 55" tv. Because this room has natural light from windows should I go with the QN85C or LG C3? You can never go wrong with the C3. Just a little nervous to put the C3 in a room that has lots of light.

Looking to go 75” or 85” in living room. Torn between X90L and U8K. I only stream so the upscaling by Sony makes me want to go that way but still not sure.
I have seen U8K 75” . Played with remote. Its GLOSS finish utter stunning . Very high vibrancy very black .- 1056 local dimming zone (x90L 75” 120local dimming ) X90L is NOT even mini led . It’s generic QLED . Blooming , matte finish !
@@trewright1482S89C SO DIM tho. For a lot of ppl that is just too Dim. It’s like 100nits brighter than iPhone XS. (Sorry using phone, but giving a visual in bright room). U8K x90L have iPhone 14PRO-15pro level Brighness. Image can look MORE clean, snappy, in living room if he has Big window, or have kids/family members always have lights on. Like sports stadium, highway bill board. D Brighter d TV, the more clean 3D it looks. A dimmer tv, things will look Goo, Zoom out. The thing is if S89C is in between dim/bright. It’s at a “somewhat” , a lot of ppl use it, they do NOT know they have image lose when they watch tv. It’s like watching content of 2 ppl in forest, at sunset,,,it’s dim but not night yet. That visual in bright room u will lose Tons of image Volume that do NOT have lightly on it even tho they are Mildly medium light, cuz the half dimmed visuals if they are moving yr eyes cant make out of what is what. EYES send them to Brain, Brain FILTERS them as Nosie. U will painlessly lose image that u dont know. Same thing as if ur Driving, at sunset, u seemingly bright but things at sides, far end, just taking longer to see on highway. U can only see whats in front of u, everything else at side blur out.

I get you put the flagship TVs in S class but I really think value needs to be involved in these rankings. For picture quality sure the A95L probably belongs in S but for value the A95L is an FFF-. At 77inch the A95L is $5k, that’s $1.5k more than the S95C and G3. It’s $3.3k more than the S89C. It is not twice the TV performance wise as the s89C. Only has 2 hdmi 2.1 ports??!!! Sony is a FONY.
So I got the S90C Saturday going from an AU8000 in the S90C is incredible it's a 55-in I don't really care about the 60 70 80 in My place doesn't accommodate that so the 55 in is amazing I put the backlight three by govee on it and it's incredible I actually had to turn the brightness down on the TV because it was searing my retinas lol this TV makes everything look real it's just insane I don't think I've ever seen a better TV but going from a Samsung AU 8000 I guess would blow anybody's mind not that that was a bad TV but it was lower tier for Samsung it was a 2021 model
Holy crap dude! Are you on drugs?!?!? The QN90C is least at the "A" tier and the QN95C should be at the "S" tier. By far the absolute best mini-LED tvs in the World!
@@frankcastle6298 biased to the fact I can’t seem to justify Sony’s pricing. In my opinion the S89C/S90C and C3 are a better overall TV and less expensive by a good amount. Both those TV’s are brighter and have a better color gamut. I also think both are better gaming TV’s than the A80L. I do like the 83inch A80L but way out of my price range. Only other Sony OLED I would consider is the A75L which is a great value with the same processor as A80L. If they would have made a 77inch in the A75L I might have gotten one. QD OLEDs are now far superior

To me Sony X90L 🥇should be an A Tier beating every LED TV’S out there! To be Honest compared to the Sony X93L & X95L Blind Buy Should be Sony X90L which is half the price compared to those X93L & X95L cause there isn’t much difference Between them when it comes to picture quality Full Array LED in X90L is Doing an Excellent Job Compared To Mini LED in X93L & X95L Over all Considering Price-To-Value the Crown 👑 goes to Sony X90L Hands Down 🙌🏼
Dude the SONY demo is very deceiving, they are fast moving, u dont see much issues till skip to next image. Their x95L that rapid egg, Brocoli, funny visual n car driving etc. thoes are like VERY selective image u CANT see flaws. MOST tv watching at night, NOT the bright room if u watch MOVIE . Dark room dark scene. ITS bad Bloomig. Yes NOT sever just BAD for d price u pay in 2024. It has 2020 IPs panel level blooming I am not making this up. So many ppl complaint about it once they buy it. N that x90L has matte screen. Still x93L is all right but like X90L just NOT great in 2024. Washed out color. Suggest u try to go back, ask for REMOTE> I always ask for remote when checking a TV. Put on UA-cam , like “dark sky in the night” something like that, still image u will see X90L- WHITE MATTE frost tint on screen all OVER. Ur stomach will turn. 😮

So ppl IN USA getting a SONY X90L, they can get U8K or Qm8 for around similar price for Neck to Neck to SONYX95L image. The s89c is way better than the c3. Just peeps need to do some research. We wont have an option like that in 2024 but the s90d will beat all of lg except for the 83 g4 maybe. That will be the one to get until future qd oleds.

Not sure why you always sh*t on Sony when it's always obvious the overall performance is stupidly better than most. It's definitely their prices I suppose but nothing comes close to their color and motion on their lower TV's. My 85x90L looks better than most of the mini leds and it's just a local dimming led 😆
Vhs movies last longer then Disney plus and Netflix and tvs does everything proven people like myself are fixing broken vhs tapes with Scotch tape it starts playing again with out no problem's everything proven vhs tapes last longer then your blue ray disc movies does and computer does and your phone does
I spent $699 for a 65" Samsung QLED and I am blown away with the quality of the picture. I can see the booger in Hockey player's nose, or pimples of the nightly news lady. Keep in mind that not everything is at the highest quality on TV. I primarily watch sports. Watching Football, Hockey, Soccer on this Samsung Qled is just awesome. Speakers are not good but I use my Sony Soundbar with Sub and cannot be happier. Guy at BestBuy told me to stay away from Chinese made Hisense and TCL as they see reliability issues.

Yup, I jumped on the S89C and it is the 2nd Gen QD panel. It’s insane. Stand is ugly, but nothing else can touch it overall for value/performance.

We took delivery of the 100 inch Hisense u76 today. Loving it so far. I also have an 85 inch QM8.

Do yourself a favor get a streaming box like Roku so you can permanently disable junk HDR....worst scam tech in years.

Costco has a Hisense QD6 QLED LCD tv for $250. Is this a good buy for a spare bedroom Tv? Maybe some movies and You Tube TV? Sports maybe?
I have both Samsung S95B and Sony A95K, I’m happy with the Sony Bravia a bit better. Both TVs are great and i wouldn’t mind either one

Repetition really does help. I can remember football plays and tvs. Comes in handy. The lower tier tvs are just fine for most people.
I would place S89C in the S tier category, its value/performance is unbeatable.
Even the S90C picture wise compared to the other brands but the S89C Is just Insane

i contemplated the TCL S5 98'' for atleast 2 weeks, and my waiting paid off, as i was able to snag it from best buy for 1999.99! I am more than happy with this tv and agree with everything you said about it. if you have the space for a 98, I would highly recommend ATLEAST giving this a hard look! I dont know how you pass it up honestly! Thanks B!

@kimboslice1233 sorry, been super busy getting the mancave finalized! I got the TV on the wall last week. I have to say, for 98" for $1999, I am very impressed with this tv! I have yet to watch a 4k movie on it, but just watching 4k content on UA-cam has been really good! I'm actually amazed at how well it upscales! Granted it's not as good as my Sony 75z9j, but that sets spec's are way above the TCL. I'm not sure about the people stating it's not bright enough, because I watched it with lights on and it was plenty bright enough. If you're on the fence, I say get it at 1999 while it's available!

I went with the 85-inch TCL QM8, and as a Samsung guy with an S95B, I'm impressed. Really love the Google operating system to my surprise.
C3 vs s89c I still can not decide. 77 inch. I got the c3 with free install and mounting for 2299. The s89c doesn’t include install and is 1799 plus 250. I don’t know which to get, can you advise me? I am always uncomfortable with Best Buy exclusives. I got a QN84 from Best Buy, it was similar to QN85 but the build quality and speakers were crap and also the firmware updates were not helpful and broke some of the functionality for tuning.
Just keep the C3. Don't over think it.
@@BTheInstaller I bought a S89C last week and it is truly a gorgeous TV. Speakers are fine. I mounted mine with B Installer video help!! I’d say keep the C3 but the S89C in my opinion is a better TV. Brighter, more color and the best gaming TV on the market. That being said the C3 is very close. It’s a shame that LG didn’t include MLA with the C Series.
I came close to buying the 85” Hisense from Sam’s Club for $599 seems like a tremendous value. Nebraska Furniture is sell the 65” Sony OLED for $1,040 and they ship nationwide. Yet it wouldn’t be here in time for the game. So I am going to wait and see the selection of returns from Best Buy after the Super Bowl.

B 3 years ago you steered me to the A80J. We love it but its staying with the house. I need new tv's. In my living room over the mantle I need a 55" tv. Because this room has natural light from windows should I go with the QN85C or LG C3? You can never go wrong with the C3. Just a little nervous to put the C3 in a room that has lots of light.

There is a large echogear on Amazon for $99 or most flat and Tilt down mounts will be fine. Just make sure they can do the 600mm pattern
For 55 inch, which is better, LG G2 or LG C3, mainly for TV shows, News and Movies on OTT
C3 or get G3. The G2 has that red tint. Wasn't as good.

Looking to go 75” or 85” in living room. Torn between X90L and U8K. I only stream so the upscaling by Sony makes me want to go that way but still not sure.
Buy the S89C. Upscaling is really good and it’s an OLED. You can’t beat that. Works great in a bright room also.
Good thing is you are going to be ok either way. I'd probably lean u8k as I prefer the top hisense. Better anti-reflection and bright for the hisense.
I have seen U8K 75” . Played with remote. Its GLOSS finish utter stunning . Very high vibrancy very black .- 1056 local dimming zone (x90L 75” 120local dimming )
X90L is NOT even mini led . It’s generic QLED . Blooming , matte finish !

U8K x90L have iPhone 14PRO-15pro level Brighness. Image can look MORE clean, snappy, in living room if he has Big window, or have kids/family members always have lights on.
Like sports stadium, highway bill board. D Brighter d TV, the more clean 3D it looks. A dimmer tv, things will look Goo, Zoom out. The thing is if S89C is in between dim/bright. It’s at a “somewhat” , a lot of ppl use it, they do NOT know they have image lose when they watch tv.
It’s like watching content of 2 ppl in forest, at sunset,,,it’s dim but not night yet. That visual in bright room u will lose Tons of image Volume that do NOT have lightly on it even tho they are Mildly medium light, cuz the half dimmed visuals if they are moving yr eyes cant make out of what is what. EYES send them to Brain, Brain FILTERS them as Nosie. U will painlessly lose image that u dont know.
Same thing as if ur Driving, at sunset, u seemingly bright but things at sides, far end, just taking longer to see on highway. U can only see whats in front of u, everything else at side blur out.

I get you put the flagship TVs in S class but I really think value needs to be involved in these rankings. For picture quality sure the A95L probably belongs in S but for value the A95L is an FFF-. At 77inch the A95L is $5k, that’s $1.5k more than the S95C and G3. It’s $3.3k more than the S89C. It is not twice the TV performance wise as the s89C. Only has 2 hdmi 2.1 ports??!!! Sony is a FONY.

So I got the S90C Saturday going from an AU8000 in the S90C is incredible it's a 55-in I don't really care about the 60 70 80 in My place doesn't accommodate that so the 55 in is amazing I put the backlight three by govee on it and it's incredible I actually had to turn the brightness down on the TV because it was searing my retinas lol this TV makes everything look real it's just insane I don't think I've ever seen a better TV but going from a Samsung AU 8000 I guess would blow anybody's mind not that that was a bad TV but it was lower tier for Samsung it was a 2021 model

@@frankcastle6298 biased to the fact I can’t seem to justify Sony’s pricing. In my opinion the S89C/S90C and C3 are a better overall TV and less expensive by a good amount. Both those TV’s are brighter and have a better color gamut. I also think both are better gaming TV’s than the A80L. I do like the 83inch A80L but way out of my price range. Only other Sony OLED I would consider is the A75L which is a great value with the same processor as A80L. If they would have made a 77inch in the A75L I might have gotten one. QD OLEDs are now far superior

Dude the SONY demo is very deceiving, they are fast moving, u dont see much issues till skip to next image. Their x95L that rapid egg, Brocoli, funny visual n car driving etc. thoes are like VERY selective image u CANT see flaws. MOST tv watching at night, NOT the bright room if u watch MOVIE . Dark room dark scene. ITS bad Bloomig. Yes NOT sever just BAD for d price u pay in 2024. It has 2020 IPs panel level blooming I am not making this up.
So many ppl complaint about it once they buy it.
N that x90L has matte screen. Still x93L is all right but like X90L just NOT great in 2024. Washed out color.
Suggest u try to go back, ask for REMOTE> I always ask for remote when checking a TV. Put on UA-cam , like “dark sky in the night” something like that, still image u will see X90L- WHITE MATTE frost tint on screen all OVER. Ur stomach will turn. 😮

The s89c is way better than the c3. Just peeps need to do some research. We wont have an option like that in 2024 but the s90d will beat all of lg except for the 83 g4 maybe. That will be the one to get until future qd oleds.

Not sure why you always sh*t on Sony when it's always obvious the overall performance is stupidly better than most. It's definitely their prices I suppose but nothing comes close to their color and motion on their lower TV's. My 85x90L looks better than most of the mini leds and it's just a local dimming led 😆
Vhs movies last longer then Disney plus and Netflix and tvs does everything proven people like myself are fixing broken vhs tapes with Scotch tape it starts playing again with out no problem's everything proven vhs tapes last longer then your blue ray disc movies does and computer does and your phone does

I spent $699 for a 65" Samsung QLED and I am blown away with the quality of the picture. I can see the booger in Hockey player's nose, or pimples of the nightly news lady. Keep in mind that not everything is at the highest quality on TV. I primarily watch sports. Watching Football, Hockey, Soccer on this Samsung Qled is just awesome. Speakers are not good but I use my Sony Soundbar with Sub and cannot be happier. Guy at BestBuy told me to stay away from Chinese made Hisense and TCL as they see reliability issues.
