    I have one, 6200 miles on it already since fall. I love it. If it was a traditional Side x Side, with 6200 miles on it, it would be a pushing its life cycle. This thing is just getting started. No more plastic, over revv'ed, rubber band drives for me. Yes, it is rougher, you are not going to be doing 2' whoops at 50 mph, but it'll drag a cord of green fire wood out of the bush without melting a belt. It also pushes snow like a beast.

    Lot of people with negative opinions. If you are looking for a licensed version of classic jeep with basics and enjoy the gear shifts also lot of hauling in your farms with some fun driving in the woods or dirt, this is the vehicle. If you are not into those, no one's forcing you to buy them. Mahindra launched the vehicle as a SxS with additional capabilities and they are not looking for a big chunk of the market. Atleast they are building the SKD in the USA instead of importing plastic computers on wheels into the country. Also wondering how many of these people would speed in the rough terrain its meant to be. I remember people making fun of Japanese cars initially and look where they are now.

    • @snowmanwithahat
      @snowmanwithahat 5 років тому

      It's it the vehicle though? Until it can be registered for legal road use I just don't see the point.
      Sure, you can tow 3,500 lbs, but where, off-road only? I don't know about you, but there's nothing I can begin to even think of that would need to be towed off-road only in that weight range.
      This thing is a toy, a cool one, but none the less just a toy, because it has to be trailered everywhere.

    • @spreddyreds9408

      @@snowmanwithahat, there are those who find that it meets their requirements... be it cross country, dirt trails or plain farm work. Why should I try to influence my thoughts on other people? The Mahindra Roxor too closely resembles the Jeep CJ-7, according to the United States International Trade Commission. Administrative Law Judge Cameron Elliot ruled the Indian firm is guilty of trademark infringement, and recommended the implementation of a cease-and-desist order.
    While many companies licensed the Jeep CJ's basic design over the years for sales abroad, Mahindra having held its license for decades, the Roxor has only recently gone on sale in this country. Judge Elliot concluded the Roxor pushes the envelope too far by violating what Jeep calls its "trade dress." In simple terms, it looks too much like a Jeep for a vehicle not made by the brand

      Brian trerotola Not in Canada where I am. And anywhere a SxS can be tagged for use on a street, so can a Roxor. Not sure where you are getting your info. A Roxor is more capable than a plastic Wrangler that is too wide and heavy and I don't want doors. Wranglers make poor SxS's. I’d come out of the bush with banged up panels and no mirrors. How much wood can a Spyder haul out of the bush? Don’t need street legal, I need a work horse. Yes some units are cheaper, they are also less capable and worthless in 5 years. I’ll keep my Roxor. It’s the best money I have spent in a long time and it will outlast any of those other SxS you mentioned. I don't have to buy another one in 5 years like I have been doing. Last one I'm buying. If you get 15,000 miles out of those, they are done and no body wants them and it takes many repairs to get them that high. Dealers don’t even want them on trade after 5000 miles. They are throw away machines. Just try selling one with high mileage, you have to give it away. I’ll take my 4 cylinder turbo diesel over an over revved noisy, hot, gas, plastic, melt-a-belt any day. No Thanks.

Lots of hunters, farmers and ranchers have them as work units. Mines are buying them to replace their current units under ground. Rock crawler guys are building them up as toys. No point in having any SxS then if your point is 'no need to have toys'. That's is the point for a lot of folks, it is their TOY. Some folks just buy them and leave them as is. I just get a kick out of you telling them to buy a Wrangler or not to buy it if it is just a toy.
