The motorised part was what drew me here, so little disappointed that it's not shown. The actual build and versatility is impressive, given it covers different angles, it's also nice that it requires no special tools. Nice vid!
Reminds me of how a roller coaster has wheels on opposite sides of a rail… Very simple design that just works. Still, curious how much the friction increases once there is a load put on the slider. Poss. Idea for a 2.0 version… Create a slot for the heads of the bolts, so they cannot rotate. Bend bolt out 45°, then add 1st roller bearing, bend back 90° & add 2nd bearing. The slots on top of the slider will ensure the head of the bolt does not rotate & maintains a perpendicular alignment of the 45° & 90° bends. Now, with the roller bearings being perpendicular as well, they will sit flush the the corners of the square tubing; which should significantly improve the coefficient of friction between the slider & the tubing after a load is added to the slider.
cool but it can't take much load since thouse bearings are supposed to be used vertically not at an angle. you need tapered bearings for propper load bearing.
I like the design application, especially using opposite corners on square tubing as a “track”. Like many others, I too was disappointed that there is no portion about making it “motorized”. 🤨 Maybe retitle video as ‘Make An Awesome *Chassis For* A Motorized Slider’? …or just add ‘Part 1’ lol

I'm looking for a design to use on a chainsaw mill im going to build. I have some 12ft T beams I'm gonna use as rails for chainsaw rig to slide. It 1/4 inch thick and 2 1/2 wide on flat face. My idea so far is to buy some metal hole saws and make some washers. Two big one small with a 22mm hole to put a skateboard wheel bearing in. Might make a press fit and weld a keeper on the sides so bearing stays in.

It was sympathetic to fixing the bearings, but my first tests yielded unexpected results: With the bearings, it became noticeable that the screw did not "close" completely perpendicular to a threaded rod, as if the rise of the thread had a slight effect. But maybe if I had looked with a better quality screw it would have been good. Or will this solution always bring a little "skew" to the bearing?
Maybe a finer thread count would help, or make it less noticeable? Or maybe a spring type lock washer. That would have the added benefit of keeping tings from vibrating loose over time. Not sure if either of those would help but I thought I'd share either way!
I have one experiment for making car to move on sliding ice. You imagine vahical tyres moving, now imagine sliding strip. Now think how we can connect it. Mean using sliding ice strip at the bottom of car but control by wheels, we will fix strip at the bottom of tyres to move car in ice. Movement of car tyres will slide the strip either of iron or wood. Keep speed of 20 or 40.km. to have better grip. Staring will give direction to left ,right. No change in car engine, same engine, same driving system ,every thing must in extra attachment below tyres. We can avoid many accident. Think in this direction. Jay bharat.
Wheels of car Wheels rotate the ball bearing. Question is if weight. Wood or iron will take weight and everything will get adjusted in ice. Jay bharat.
Good for misleading clickbait video, bad for actual usage. Both, the screws and the metal plate will bend quite easily under load. The bolt connections will slide along the channels, too. I know it from own experience, because I have tried that flawed approach when I was kid in the 90's.

I like the adaptability of the slide ! Great work but one question .......... Where's the motor and the hooked up system ? , .........
That's a very green motor you've got there. Powered by pizza and beer.
deep groove ball bearings are not meant for axial forces, you'll ruin the bearings in just a couple of days
What is? I'm looking for something very strong to slide a metal frame in... Not sure what to look for tbh
He doesn't understand the meaning of "motorize" he wrote.
Not sure that the sealed bearings are designed to funtion with downward pressure being applied to their inter sides.
Great idea! Will it work outside too? In snow and rain?
Okay. So, where's the motor?
It's still in the hardware store. 🤣🤣🤣
Brother ap ke jaisa hi very smart idea hai bahut sunder
Will this work for a round metal pipe too?
Great idea. But how does it slide on the flat bar? The bearings are not contacting the side of the bar.
is that one of those wish motors? wish you had one.
What a tiny motor. Still unable to spot it..
good 👍👍👍..Thank you Messi 😀
I love you sir 😘😘😘
I am your big fan
thank you BROOOOOOO !
I am live in India
You live in USA....?
You are a big genius UA-camr
Love you sir
Where exactly is the "motorized" part? And what is this used for?
I was planning to buy a slide but after watching this clip of yours, I gave up on that idea. Thank you for sharing
I was looking for the exact parts list in the description below, but I couldn't find it? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you
Exactly where is the motorized part? Did I miss it or is it not even shown? If you are going to say it's motorized then show it!
kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk. I think this is a joke !!
will it work on curve rail?
is there any way to do it without bearing?
What ate the sizes of those bearings?
Great idea and video. Do you have a video with the motorized part of the design?
cool but it can't take much load since thouse bearings are supposed to be used vertically not at an angle. you need tapered bearings for propper load bearing.
What is this for, colleague, what use will you give it?
I like the design application, especially using opposite corners on square tubing as a “track”.

Maybe retitle video as ‘Make An Awesome *Chassis For* A Motorized Slider’?
…or just add ‘Part 1’ lol
What Do you mean by "motorized"?
Good question
How much weight would this hold ?
a genius slider, and with a leaner actuator, wow
looks like that may work on piping as well
Thanks a lot being looking for exactly same slider technique for long. Simple and sweet technique
I want to make a heavy sliding table for my small sawmill.is this method good?
You could use V groove bearings instead for most of these. Where's the motorized part?
Do you have follow up videos? For completion? Website?
Interesante sistema.
Amazing I would like to use it on my project.
Good, i like it👍👍👍👍
Awesome! This gives me some great inspiration
Ingenious idea with scope for a great many applications. Just great. Thanks for sharing.
Use for what
Cool work sir 👍👏
Samaz aya kya banaya isna
Good idea for example a sliding door
What size are the bearings?

Those bearing and not designed to be horizontally loaded. They should be vertical.

Bom trabalho 👍👏
Super 👌
Like 👍
thanks you my frend
How long is bolts that that the nuts screw onto?
Good idea
Wow, great idea!.. 👏
GOOD JOOB !!!

Nice Chanel greetings from the netherlands
Cool one! Awesome!
0:07 i have a bad feelling about this
That's exactly the time I left to read the comments. Thankfully yours was the 2nd one and I didn't waste more time finding someone to agree with.

Can any one tell me what is the type and specification of this roller bearing
You put .5 bore bearings on .375 bolt for an axle. How is that any kind of precision? Might as well use a skateboard on a 2x4.
That weird stare at the beginning is gonna be a no from me dawg
Simple can make with U groove wheel

Wow you made it to do only that 🤔
Watching from philippines
it is not support cnc
Instant mute

Umm....Where is the motor?
Interesting design and reminds me of cnc tables. Just makes me want to make a cnc table for my everlast welder even more now.
Nice video
there is a lot of play for precise applications.
couldnt find where is the motorized thingy in there
Good❤

Play with ball bearing, tyres will move ball bearing to push flat wood or iron for more grips on car.

Truly an awesome workmanship of yours and the best that I have come across with its various variations!!
Messi, is that you?
Thank you so much.....
Sehr gut !
Great Build, Thanks

For the view of mechanical engineering you’re right. Can you provide an idea from your experience that you had?
Mantap bang salam dari pemula 👍
Nice build, especially the motor lmao
Good job
Why you make this' what's porpoise......?
Please for bearing provide
Outside Diameter. .??
Inside Diameter. .?.?
Breadth. .??
I'm still waiting to see the motorized part.
