It kind of makes me wish they could use the 'Legion of Doom' name for the team. It would be so perfect.

Could they call it Doom Legion? Then again, seven people doesn't feel like a legion.
Redacting the names for the two unseen 'Seven Daggers' is more about not revealing the powers of the characters than it was if we might recognize them from earlier on.
It's funny, when the leadership of Krakoa insisted on their citizens using their hero and villain names as the 'mutant names' rather than their 'human names'. Translation: 'you are your power(s)' and everything else about you doesn't matter.
Part of Slag's ability definitely reminded me of Harry Delgado from the Acolytes

Glad to see more of Doom. One of my many problems with Krakoa plot holes- is how on earth could Doom be unaware of Krakoa or unable to stop them considering he's personally visited infinite future timelines and he's had mind control over the entire earth population multiple times. Also- how come Dooms mutants not listed amongst 198? Hopefully we'll get some explanations.
Doom always knew. Even before this issue, he rejected Krakoa outright. I think the reality was that he didn't care. He said as much in X-Men/Fantastic Four (2020). As for his mutants. I think they're not listed for the same reason as that crossover insenuated. The X-Men didn't even know he had mutants until they went to Latveria and saw it for themselves.
@@BlerdWithoutFear 198 was supposed to be literally every Mutant detected worldwide and they had Cerebra scanning constantly for them- including in Latveria. With Doom there can always be another explanation I suppose.
@@BlerdWithoutFearXavier and Magneto did a number on Reed Richards’ brain. Why didn’t they try that with Doom?? And we all know the answer. Doom is the living argument why mutants aren’t really “homo superior” after all, right? I mean, come on-Doom has a device that can outdo everything Xavier does. Correct me if I’m wrong: Doom is no telepath, but that device Doom made (probably took him a couple days) outdoes Xavier with Cerebro. Let’s face it: if Magneto and Xavier tried to do to Doom what they accomplished with Reed Richards, they’d both be dead. And Magneto knows that’s true-“Just block him!” LOL! We know from children’s crusade that Magneto admits he’s no match for Doom.
Hey Xavier!-Go ask the Purple Man what it’s like trying to control Dr. Doom’s mind. Go try it and see what happens.
Doom is like the Batman of Marvel. Writers make him capable of doing anything.
@@hcbabyssian8936 definitely. But Doom way beyond even Batman for resourcefulness and planning. Doom would be offended by Batman comparison- just as he is always offended by Magneto comparisons.
The D-Men is actually a much more suitable name. Doom is ego personified- he'd never name his team after anyone but himself.

It would make sense for Doom to want to work with Xavier, although reluctantly. He knows it's only a matter of time before O.R.C.H.I.S. comes after the mutants in Latveria, which Doom will never accept under any circumstances.
Doom can impart magical and technological gifts on his servants, whereas Charles cannot. Even if he could…would he? Right, wrong, or indifferent…I think Xavier would hold his people back while making them give every measure of themselves.
Charles would totally withhold. Hell... he did it to his own son. So yeah, this is Charles to a tee.
Wrong. Charles has always "gifted" the X-Men with "extras". He has telepathically enhanced their powers, he has telepathically uploaded different languages, fighting art forms , certain skills like the ability to fly a jet or operate other technologies. Xavier has supplied them with uniforms made of unstable molecules make the suits bullet proof and also remains intact and not harmed by the rigors of their respective powers. Established psychic links in them so that they could all telepathically communicate with one another on missions or in general. It may not be magic but the X-Men always had the luxury of Shiar tech. This is tech that at one time was exclusive to the X-Men plus vehicles. Charles witholds nothing. Y'all have to know this character and understand this character before going with the notion in the story is purposely put out for the characters to think of and suspect Xavier as shady. He is not. Xavier is noble and self sacrificing to the core. A true hero.
@@fendisaintlaurent4257I see your point. Maybe there is shade depending on how he’s written. The writing of late, though, has made him terribly…monumentally…flawed…even to the point of being broken. When I think of Xavier…I want to see the altruism…but to expect and demand the altruism of others? I…me personally…I would hate myself. When it comes down to it, he’s sending young people…off to war…his war. Just sayin’. But it does make for a fascinating character.
My guess for the High Evolutionary and Synch: He might be able to help Synch out with his problem aging when using his ability to recall powers

Nanny and Orphanmaker are in fact with the Exiles now. They were with Sabretooth but he ran off on his own again.

@@vincentfranklin17 Is it pride. Or something else? Steve Rogers is self-righteous, almost (almost) to a fault, which causes conflict. Of course most of the time Rogers is right, because he’s Captain Freaking America. Xavier is self righteous to an absolute fatality of a fault. He believes so adamantly that he’s right, that only the most powerful and dedicated mutants can serve his purposes. He’s a zealot, every bit as bad as Magneto, just with a different agenda. That’s just my read, anyway. Xavier is a really fascinating character though.

Unnamed female character, my guess = Storm. Not because she is there but because he hopes she will be. That’s why he said she is where she is and she may not be ready ever. Ready to join him not ready to be on his team. Also Storm is good with daggers, possibly inspiring the name?

It would be really cool to see Charles Xavier become a villain, like he evolves himself and his telepathy to Martian Manhunter and the other Martians in DC and beyond, and he gives himself a bunch of mutant powers, and he creats his own empire with the Mutants, like Magnito used to do, and then there is an accident and Xavier gets all mutant powers, and it morphs him, and he becomes extremely powerful, and he has a Magnito and Dr. Doom presence, and no one would really want to cross him, and he has an army that are clones of him probably with telekinesis and one other mutant power, as well as Sentinals, but with Charles Xavier's brain it, like take the brains of clones of Charles Xavier and put it into a glass capsule that is wired into the head of the Sentinal, so the Sentinals would not be fully cybernetic and they will not have any programming, it is literally Xavier'a mind in the Sentinals so he is the Sentinal and it responds only to his thoughts and actions. I think that that would be cool.
That has kind of been done twice. 1st during Onslaught. The 2nd time was during Uncanny Avengers by Remender. In that story Red Skull had transplanted Xaviers brain and powers to himself. He used those powers to take over the population with hate and fear. He also had Stark Sentinels way back then too.

Charles becoming a bad guy would actually be interesting if Marvel let a creative team really lean into it. Not like someone else using his mind or a subconscious version of himself becoming reality like with Onslaught. I want Marvel to just once... let Charles be straight up evil. Even if it was only for a little while.
@@BlerdWithoutFear it could be considered the whole Krakoan arc is already the evil version of Xavier? Putting all mutants on a island, founded in fascistic racial superiority beliefs and lead by the same monsters responsible for nearly every atrocity ever committed against mutants (plus the guy who manufactured the Sentinels) was a pretty supervillain move. He also went out of of his way to rewrite all X-men history and dehumanise heroes and friends who did nothing but help for decades too. I still think Krakoa and Xavier quickly imploding was Hickmans original plan- but obviously rest of Marvel disagreed and became enamoured with Krakoa concept instead. This reminds me of the "what Cyclops did" mystery during X-men vs Inhumans era. They literally and constantly described Cyclops as the Mutant Hitler and a pariah to all Mutants- but they obviously completely changed their story plan behind the scenes. The eventual reveal of what he did was beyond pathetic (if anything it was a selfless act and Inhumans had been the unreasonable party)- but as a result the story made absolutely no sense.
You’re not wrong. IRL people like Xavier break bad every day.

I told you sir a LOOOOOONG time ago that Doom put Xavier in his place. Doom KNEW Krakoa was doomed. Now he is the hope for the genetically gifted of the world. Let ORCHIS try their genocide with Doom! Before his Latverian badass X-Men even break a sweat, they’ll be creamed by Victorius-Doom’s second-in-command, imbued with the Power Cosmic harvested from Galactus himself. ORCHUS’days are numbered.
I do like this Doom's team and would like to see them have a proper fight with the X-Men. I also think they're being a bit over hipped here, just bit but we haven't seen them all or possibly fully unload. They are very likely powerful cause Doom wouldn't bother with them if they weren't. Like Nerium is strong, but we'll have to wait and see if she does have any control over the earth or is it that their calling her that cause her power is nature based. Slag is pretty cool and his probably as strong as Strong Guy and Colossus, but I don't think his actually stronger then them. But his overall powers could make him more powerful though. Other then Doom I wonder who else saw what was coming with Xavier and did they even care to warn him or just set back and watched?

Niriam reminds me of Meggan, they're both elementals but Meggan is far more powerful. Niriam is an earth elemental something like a cross between Groot and Poison Ivy but Meggan commands them all, earth, water, fire and air. My bet is they're somehow related.
And Snowbird of Alpha Flight. That would be an interesting group, Snowbird, Niriam and Meggan.

Doom is ridiculously easy to defeat. Just use magic or pyrokinesis to heat up his mask and melt his face off. He would scream in horrible pain as he dies slowly.

Marvel has explained time and time again, that the mutants/xmen cant hold their own beer. Cus like how did yoy screw yourselves over so bad from the start
They didn't fight the X-men, they fought kitty and wolverine. Tho I didn't understand why they had to depower kitty, she should have been able to defeat them
Male with volatile powers, they could go with a deep dive here that no one would see coming like Mathew Malloy, Doom could have used his time machine to go back and undo what Tempo did when she took a telepath back in time to make sure his parents never got it on, then Doom being Doom be there to scoop up Malloy at the right time when his powers first manifest (Mathew Malloy is Doom's Dooms Day switch that you deploy when you're ready to incinerate the game board if you might lose). As far as the female character, if they pulled Rasputin into our time line maybe some how Doom gets ahold of the Black Brain character Nimrod put on ice in the beginning of Powers (you got your self a pocket telepath to use use as a conduit for Doom's Cerebro and she's already on ice so Doom could be working her over psychologically while making use of her powers, while also being in the know for what happened during that timeline).

The reason I say Storm is because he tried to rizz her twice and both times she refused and only two women Doom has never been able to sway is Storm and Sue Storm so it makes sense that it’s one of the two. The seventh one could be another elemental/energy wielder such as Vulcan or maybe Sunfire cause both are going through changes with theirs powers right now..right then🤷🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️I really don’t know at what time this takes place but those are my four candidates.

It's not like Doom's X-Men faced notably powerful X-Men. None of those they faced were even alpha level. Even a weakling like Spider-Man would be able to take most of them out. Oh and please. This is Doom we're talking about. He's literally the King of PIS in all of Marvel, Marvel's Batman and best of all, the ultimate male Mary Sue.

i'm kind of loosely aware of Valeria Richards. Didn't read the era of FF she's a part of. But I kind of like this idea of maybe Doom putting them through some kind of bonding experience because he wants his potential heirs to work together for some reason, just in case.
I really get sick of Doom's Batman like plot armor.
For as many Ls he took over the years.....they always want to make him the smartest most competent person in every room.
I don't like the idea of x men joining Doom . However he does what Dr. Xavier won't do and that's Doom isn't afraid to" Pull That Trigger" on his enemies when need to. FUCK that " Kill No Human" BS !!!! If somebody trying to kill me and mine taking mofos out !!! An it's not to APPLBEES either!!!!

Did doom put a Cultural appropriate meal for all on the table? Just because he put a Turkey on the table does not mean he understands Muslim Or Hebrew Diet habits...
Muslims don't eat Pork or Haram animals. Meat should be slaughter in accordance to Halal. (I am not sure what these rules are.. But I suspect if Ms. Marvel is portrayed as being very observant... she would not probably not feel comfortable eating meat with people that do practice or hang out with Muslims.) This is probably why Ms. Marvel reaches for the Peas where there was a turkey she could have had instead.. She might not have been able to verify that the turkey that was in front of her was Halal and choose to pass on it.
She also has a glass of water rather than wine or Mead Or beer Like Kitty Pride and Wolverine..
Consequently... Jews don't eat Pork either and also have slaughter rules that make a kosher animal unkosher... but Typical Jewish slaughter laws are don't anyway when slaughter animals.... (people that fallow Kosher rules to the lengths that Orthodox Jews do have the same issue as Muslims that fallow Halal do... See what Kitty Pride (of Jewish heritage) eventually cave and put something on her plate.. But we don't get a good look at it... and we have seen she wears the Star of David, so maybe she partakes in a more laxed form of Kosher diet and just Avoid Treif and pass on cheeseburgers..

Gotta say, I don't like it. Unpopular opinion, I know. I'm just tired of the Dr. Doom dick riding from writers and fans. It's Batman level of plot armor and worship. Also sick of the constant shitting on the OG X-Men in favor of new characters. It's fine that we have even more new mutants that have never existed before, but they need to stop making our legacy mutants look like chumps. They did this with the stupid Arakko mutants and that whole X of Swords run, which made very little sense, and now this. I'm ready for this whole era to end. Bring back old and crippled Xavier and goateeless Sinister and Colossus. They all look ridiculous now. Don't even get me started on Nightcrawler having two mothers. This new material is wack.
To sum this up in classic internet terms. The future is now old man!
