The Xmen started out, in the comics, as a team. Teenagers gathered together by Professor Xavier, into his first class of mutants. Thats how it should be. Not individual costumed mutants brought together, but a class assembled.
That’s very true but all or most of their origin stories have been fleshed out a great deal. You must get to the know the characters first to see where they go and how they end up with Xavier and how it goes from there.

Heck, I'd argue that Danger Room sequence from X-Men #1 makes a perfect opening sequence for a film (complete with *Snikt* "Bang, Chuck. You're dead."). The X-Men animated series didn't need to methodically give each X-Man solo episodes before we had a team episode. These stories would also be terribly boring since most of the students are recruited by Xavier shortly after their powers first presented. It could easily be handled through brief dialogue or a flashback where necessary. Rather than needing 5 solo films just to get the first team of X-Men and then a decade of solo films before we ever get an extended team, they could easily take a page from the height of the most popular era of X-Men in the title's entire history and just dive in with dual titles of X-Men and Uncanny X-Men, featuring Blue Team & Gold Team.

When it comes to MCU X-Men movies, I want to see Charles actually educate and make a point like let's say teaching the class about physics and mutation and the class system of mutants ranging from alpha level to Omega level mutants. I wanna see how the mutants graduate at Xavior's school.

I think they're gonna introduce him in another project to have him here and then after the reboot maybe he goes on to have a solo project cuz there's no time to make a movie for him before Secret Wars. And a show would be a let down for Ghost Rider. R- Rated movie hopefully.
After everything that went down at SDCC, I need to collect and read everything in the Marvel Universe. Amazing Spider-Man, Fantastic Four, Avengers, X-Men, Hulk, all of it. Especially Dr. Doom.
For X-men I definitely recommend the Astonishing X-men run And Avengers Disassembled which leads into Bendis’s New Avengers run Marvel Zombies is a good one Jonathan Hickmans F4 run The Darkhold saga
You know what I would love to see in Secret Wars? Just one scene with God of Stories Loki and Thor meeting each other after a loooooong time. All I want is for them to have a wholesome talk together and maybe even a hug. That could bring the tears out of anyone's eyes. 😢
I think after Secret Wars, they will focus more on the X-men and F4. The Avengers will still be part of the new soft reboot, but will focus on Mutants and F4 a lot more. Also think that when they introduce the X-men in the main universe, they will focus more on X-men characters that didn’t got the attention on the Fox X-men Universe.
Yes! We all love the Avengers, but I definitely want this soft reboot to focus more on the X-Men and F4. We'll still get the Avengers characters as you stated, but retelling new stories with the characters we've had up to this point seems a bit too soon. And when they are all in the same universe, you don't have to have crossovers every movie, just a headline or TV in the background talking about things going on with other teams. And save crossovers for bigger event movies.

I theorize in the rebooted M.C.U. setup, the new Phase#2 might make a GAMBIT solo movie, then later make more about him, and then at some point have him meet the X-Men.
The only problem with building up a team up movie with the X Men is that they are all students or teachers at Xavier’s school. Part of their story is that Charles teaches them how to control and master their powers. I don’t know if solo movies really work with that team. I think that a team like Midnight Sons would work better with solo films or shows then team up like an Avengers movie
I think that if this year taught them anything, it’s that they need to concentrate on not over releasing shows and movies. They need to make sure the quality is put above the quantity.
I think enough time has passed to get back T’Challa character in some capacity whether a variant or after the “soft reboot” of the MCU. Missing that character.
I think they really should start the rebooted universe with Spider-Man, it would be insanely awesome both for the Spider-fans and for the new classic marvel story, it would start with a ground-level hero with ground-level threats, battles, villains and then more and more powerful heroes and villains start coming

Ever since it was first mentioned that there might/would be a reboot of some kind (way back during Loki and No Way Home were released), I've been saying that it's a good way to allow whichever actors are done with the roles to leave, as well as having new characters... and variants... join the MCU. It'll be great for the MCU to have a (mostly) cleaned slate, and fantastic for the fans given that Marvel Studios finally has access to ALL the IPs.
I also theorize in the new Phase#2, of the rebooted M.C.U. setup; Movies about variants of heroes might get made. From a variant about the ScarletWitch, to a movie about a variant of the HULK, to a movie about a variant about IronMan, and more like them.
I really hope they stick the landing with the reboot and get some great talent for the xmen. its an exciting future for comic book fans since we got the dcu kicking off soon with superman and the new mcu on the horizon
I think there will be a Secret Wars 1,2,3 - a trilogy. They need to up Infinity War and End Game. Makes sense. Also with SW being so huge and so many characters it makes sense. Then they can focus more on certain characters in certain movies and film them all at once to pay people less. That’s why there are three mystery movies after SW1
I hope they put some characters back in but also keep most of the current characters and actors, honestly no actor can replace the original cast imo, that’s just how I feel, I prefer having other characters close to those characters succeeding them
Nah I think they'd do foir Avnegers movies in the span of an year and a half. That would be too much money to spend and would need a lot of actors to coordiante and cancel kther projects. I think the second part would be Battleworld and the movie in between would be a solo.

@@BigReek99 What I'm saying is there are plenty of great and unused villains that can be used in a film who are good characters. Onslaught is a great way to turn off the entire world to the alleged "Mutant Saga". You would need years and years of build up between Xavier and Magneto before you even got to that point, and honestly, anyone who lived through the 90s isn't in a rush to see that story adapted. If we want an X-Men villain that hasn't been used as the focus of the next storyline, how about Mr. Sinister? The Fox films only eluded to him, and he's consistently intriguing (especially when he's been written by folks like Kieron Gillen or Jonathan Hickman).
I think it's more like there are currently 2 Logans at the same time. In the beginning of the movie, he went to the future where Logan takes place. At the end he goes back to the present day.
I just finished their mr and Mrs x comic. They're a lotta fun, I hope to see them together in the mcu too! Maybe they can do a version of gambit going back for the tithing and Rogue following him.
I really hope they don’t “start over” by calling the next part Phase 1. Just call it Phase 7, 8, etc. it’s still technically all part of the same story. Going back to “Phase 1” kind of feels like taking what came before and throwing it in the trash
I think it would be cool if deadpool is the only person that remembers the old MCU. Also I kinda hope it becomes more grounded and less big and connected. Something like Netflix marvel or phase 1 and 2 marvel. Like all of the characters are in the same universe but they aren't interacting in every movie.
Not gonna buy into the hype until there's a satisfactory explanation on how they got rid of all variants of Kang from starting another multiversal war. Sure they told us that the new TVA has already taken care of them but surely some of them are just too clever/strong/tricky to deal with. For me, all these Kang into Doom thing are just too messy. The return of RDJ and the Russo Bros is promising BUT it can also bomb very hard if the writing is not adequate. Early/soft reboot is not gonna sit well with general audience IMHO. Sure, everything will be merged into one universe but isn't the law of quantum physics still apply to it ??? Isn't that one universe is just gonna branch into multiverse ??? There's so many questions left unanswered and if there's no satisfactory explanation, it could go very bad IMO.
With the whole reboot and all it is their oppurtunity to fix Kang and continue where they left off. Marvel can't be that dumb to leave a character in limbo
What I think the future of the MCU should be is that we do get the Avengers, Fantastic Four, Inhuman, Alpha Flight, and Midnight Sons after Avengers: Secret Wars in one main universe. And there definitely had to be a part 2 of Secret Wars. And who I think should be replaced from the MCU forever should be Agatha Harkness, Wiccan, Speed, Valkyrie, Okoye, and some others. I've heard rumors that Kevin stealth fired all the activists writers in Marvel a few months ago. If this is true, we may see a consistent stream of good movies from them soon. We'd still have a year or 2 of crap as they've been in production for a while, but once the slug is out of the pipeline, we might finally be in the clear. Said rumor says the activists are doubling down in the Star Wars IP unfortunately.
The buildup coin has two sides. Even though I can't relate, I know (cause it's happened several times) actors grow bored or tired of their MCU characters and eventually want out mid buildup, or when their buildup delivers them to a glorious point they want to move on rather than basking in the glory. It's a delicate balance that depends on many different things...
The new X-Men should have Hugh as Wolverine but he shouldn’t be the main “X-Man”. They should let Cyclops and Jean and Gambit and rogue take the spotlight
Hugh won't be the Wolverine. He is the Wolverine for us we know, but they should have younger actors play the new rebooted characters. No offense to Hugh's amazing work even at his age. When people saw Tom Holland being casted for Civil War, some of them outraged saying a kid would never replace Tobey the legend. Well that moght be true, maybe Tobey and Andrew will forever be the OG Spider-Men but Tom's Spidey was really good too! A younger acot may never be better than Hugh, but the change is something we need. There is a huge amount of capable young talent out there!!
My only problem with the X Men Universe as it is colliding with MCU is that all of the OG XMen and Avengers are gone ar this point. I'm not really looking forward to Gambit vs She-Hulk as much as I would be excited for Storn vs Black Panther of Iron Man vs Wolverine.
The rebooted future is not incredible, it is unknown! Let’s finish the Multiverse Saga first! Shang Chi 2, Dr Strange 3, Thor 5, Blade(at last) and something that gives Scarlet Witch proper closure!
My question is.. how the hell are they gonna handle unfinished stories? Is the new cap gonna get one film then be instantly replaced? How will any of Spiderman 5 or 6 make sense when the first 3-4 of his films aren't canon anymore or exist in altered canon. It feels like it would be easier to complete 100% slate reset. Start again from the beginning, maybe not with origins but it feels way too messy to have things carry over especially for casual fans.
I want to see Origin movies for Wolverine, Gambit, Storm, Cyclops, Jean Gray,/Madeline Pryer Professor X/Magneto, Nightcrawler. Then have an X-Men film to unite all these characters. Professor X should be the Nick Fury of the X-Men. Hopefully by 2030 Sony gives the rights to Spider-Man back.
I know a lot of people want an avengers vs xmen film in this universe, but I really think it would be better to have a proper movie after the reboot. It could be the first major conflict movie after setting up the teams. They could certainly hint at a fight in secret wars or something (if they do factions or w/e) but a full, proper event should be saved for the reboot IMO, if they decide to go that direction that is (which I feel like it's too easy not too lol)

I don’t think they will collapse all the infinite universe but they will end up only combining few universes like x-men, mcu and miles morales. Which will reduce collateral damage save the day with minimum deaths and having benefits of combining universes.
Yeah I highly doubt that they’ll do that, the most concerning a reboot we’ll see would be a soft-reboot, if even that. They’ll probably just use Secret Wars to clean up a bit of continuity and maybe bring back and/or recast some characters and maybe even bring in the X-Men from their universe but overall it’ll be the same universe.
Seems like a reboot would be a horrible decision and they would never do it. You just spent billions of dollars, and 20 years world building. It's an invest that can pay off for decades. Marvel can literally have movies come out 25 years from now, and have crazy cameo moments with characters from 2015, etc. I don't see them "rebooting"

Still kinda disappointed that the Kang cliffhanger that would of led to Battleworlds creation wont happen now… The way i saw it going down was that Kang Dynasty would of been a Young Avengers parallel to Avengers with A Iron Lad introduced as a Kang Variant a Kang Nexus the Kang that will go on to become All the others. Basically this Young Kang flees his older selves seeking the Avengers help but finding only White Vision who helps him make his own Avengers team partially already made by Kamala and Kate. It ends with Iron Lad ultimately sacrificing himself to erase all the other Kangs from existence. But doing so is like pulling the foundation out from under your house. Kang had strategically placed himself in key moments throughout Time and there ceasure of existence causes Reality to fall apart… only to be saved by Loki and Doom
We don’t need a roadmap for 20 years of content, for all we know the movie going experience as we know it won’t exist in 20 years. They should just focus on making one great movie at a time, and the next 3-5 years at the most to give themselves room to pivot when necessary.

RDJ is playing the doom that wasnt adopted in another universe by the starks.
So if the tony we know from earth 616 wasnt adopted he would have been doom.
Whatever Happens I hope Marvel keep Fassbender as Magneto and McAvoy as Prof X moving forward. Both can play the role for the next 20+ years.

I agree, maybe a bit more emphasis on the X-Men after Secret Wars. Soft rebooting the Avengers still feels too soon, in regards to a new Iron Man, Steve Rodgers Cap, Black Widow, etc. But everything else is a gold imo

The only problem with building up a team up movie with the X Men is that they are all students or teachers at Xavier’s school. Part of their story is that Charles teaches them how to control and master their powers. I don’t know if solo movies really work with that team. I think that a team like Midnight Sons would work better with solo films or shows then team up like an Avengers movie

I think they really should start the rebooted universe with Spider-Man, it would be insanely awesome both for the Spider-fans and for the new classic marvel story, it would start with a ground-level hero with ground-level threats, battles, villains and then more and more powerful heroes and villains start coming

Ever since it was first mentioned that there might/would be a reboot of some kind (way back during Loki and No Way Home were released), I've been saying that it's a good way to allow whichever actors are done with the roles to leave, as well as having new characters... and variants... join the MCU.
It'll be great for the MCU to have a (mostly) cleaned slate, and fantastic for the fans given that Marvel Studios finally has access to ALL the IPs.

I think there will be a Secret Wars 1,2,3 - a trilogy. They need to up Infinity War and End Game. Makes sense. Also with SW being so huge and so many characters it makes sense. Then they can focus more on certain characters in certain movies and film them all at once to pay people less. That’s why there are three mystery movies after SW1

Onslaught is a great way to turn off the entire world to the alleged "Mutant Saga". You would need years and years of build up between Xavier and Magneto before you even got to that point, and honestly, anyone who lived through the 90s isn't in a rush to see that story adapted. If we want an X-Men villain that hasn't been used as the focus of the next storyline, how about Mr. Sinister? The Fox films only eluded to him, and he's consistently intriguing (especially when he's been written by folks like Kieron Gillen or Jonathan Hickman).

I think it's more like there are currently 2 Logans at the same time. In the beginning of the movie, he went to the future where Logan takes place. At the end he goes back to the present day.
Logan is in al alternate timeline from all other movies.

I think it would be cool if deadpool is the only person that remembers the old MCU. Also I kinda hope it becomes more grounded and less big and connected. Something like Netflix marvel or phase 1 and 2 marvel. Like all of the characters are in the same universe but they aren't interacting in every movie.
Not gonna buy into the hype until there's a satisfactory explanation on how they got rid of all variants of Kang from starting another multiversal war. Sure they told us that the new TVA has already taken care of them but surely some of them are just too clever/strong/tricky to deal with. For me, all these Kang into Doom thing are just too messy. The return of RDJ and the Russo Bros is promising BUT it can also bomb very hard if the writing is not adequate. Early/soft reboot is not gonna sit well with general audience IMHO. Sure, everything will be merged into one universe but isn't the law of quantum physics still apply to it ??? Isn't that one universe is just gonna branch into multiverse ??? There's so many questions left unanswered and if there's no satisfactory explanation, it could go very bad IMO.
With the whole reboot and all it is their oppurtunity to fix Kang and continue where they left off. Marvel can't be that dumb to leave a character in limbo
What I think the future of the MCU should be is that we do get the Avengers, Fantastic Four, Inhuman, Alpha Flight, and Midnight Sons after Avengers: Secret Wars in one main universe. And there definitely had to be a part 2 of Secret Wars. And who I think should be replaced from the MCU forever should be Agatha Harkness, Wiccan, Speed, Valkyrie, Okoye, and some others. I've heard rumors that Kevin stealth fired all the activists writers in Marvel a few months ago. If this is true, we may see a consistent stream of good movies from them soon. We'd still have a year or 2 of crap as they've been in production for a while, but once the slug is out of the pipeline, we might finally be in the clear. Said rumor says the activists are doubling down in the Star Wars IP unfortunately.
The buildup coin has two sides. Even though I can't relate, I know (cause it's happened several times) actors grow bored or tired of their MCU characters and eventually want out mid buildup, or when their buildup delivers them to a glorious point they want to move on rather than basking in the glory. It's a delicate balance that depends on many different things...
The new X-Men should have Hugh as Wolverine but he shouldn’t be the main “X-Man”. They should let Cyclops and Jean and Gambit and rogue take the spotlight

When people saw Tom Holland being casted for Civil War, some of them outraged saying a kid would never replace Tobey the legend. Well that moght be true, maybe Tobey and Andrew will forever be the OG Spider-Men but Tom's Spidey was really good too!

I know a lot of people want an avengers vs xmen film in this universe, but I really think it would be better to have a proper movie after the reboot. It could be the first major conflict movie after setting up the teams. They could certainly hint at a fight in secret wars or something (if they do factions or w/e) but a full, proper event should be saved for the reboot IMO, if they decide to go that direction that is (which I feel like it's too easy not too lol)

Yeah I highly doubt that they’ll do that, the most concerning a reboot we’ll see would be a soft-reboot, if even that. They’ll probably just use Secret Wars to clean up a bit of continuity and maybe bring back and/or recast some characters and maybe even bring in the X-Men from their universe but overall it’ll be the same universe.

Seems like a reboot would be a horrible decision and they would never do it. You just spent billions of dollars, and 20 years world building. It's an invest that can pay off for decades. Marvel can literally have movies come out 25 years from now, and have crazy cameo moments with characters from 2015, etc. I don't see them "rebooting"

The way i saw it going down was that Kang Dynasty would of been a Young Avengers parallel to Avengers with A Iron Lad introduced as a Kang Variant a Kang Nexus the Kang that will go on to become All the others.
Basically this Young Kang flees his older selves seeking the Avengers help but finding only White Vision who helps him make his own Avengers team partially already made by Kamala and Kate.
It ends with Iron Lad ultimately sacrificing himself to erase all the other Kangs from existence.
But doing so is like pulling the foundation out from under your house. Kang had strategically placed himself in key moments throughout Time and there ceasure of existence causes Reality to fall apart… only to be saved by Loki and Doom

We don’t need a roadmap for 20 years of content, for all we know the movie going experience as we know it won’t exist in 20 years. They should just focus on making one great movie at a time, and the next 3-5 years at the most to give themselves room to pivot when necessary.
