In older games Kushala could have his wind disabled by poisoning or breaking certain parts...in World they decided 'nah fuck that baby shit' and made it so you cant do that anymore.
I do agree 100% about Kushala Daora being very very very annoying. But I’m not sure if u played Rise but Rise drastically improved his fight it’s so much fun in Rise especially Risen Kushala in Sunbreak.
The important Gimmick of negating the Wind Aura by poisoning the creature got removed in world. World had the dragon seal mechanic. Wich reduces the effects of elder dragons, but only kind of and only on specific weapons. And Kushala is the only Aura effect with direct crowd control. So a monster that was always annoying, became the literal worst design next to cephadrome in the whole franchise. And Rise took the classic approach, while making the move set more combo based and less permanent tornados. Wich makes the fight really fun. Rise Kushala feels like a mix Between old Kush and Alatreon for me.
Who knew getting rid of his aoe tornados that stay for around 15-30 seconds and making it combo based on top of removing elder seal would make the fight better crazy huh? But what is crazy some world fanboys defend world kushala to this day and all I gotta say is get off world play rise fight kushala there if ya want a good fight if you still don’t like it then your either an moron or a liar
lmao fr, rise was my first mh game, so when I got to kushala in gu I was like wtf is this? 😅. quite surprised by how tedious and stally the black wind feels, I was thinking damn they improved this so much in rise.
Deviljho and savage deviljho in world were utter hell. The hitbox on their attacks had a radius the size of jupiter. Not to mention savage would chase you infinitely unless it dies or you die. Their pin move is also inescapable if it gets you in its maw.
I think an underhated one is Shrieking Legiana. This at least happened for me, but in the story quest in Iceborne, it follows the exact same route as the regular Legiana in that mission, so not only do you have to fight against a moderately irritating monster, but against another monster at the same time!
What bastard called out qurupeco for this list, give me their address (Im jokingly exagerating but ill stand firmily on qurupeco being an excelent tutorial monster that can provide spicy elements to the game with his simple moveset, "hh melodies" and ability to call monsters, it adds a fear factor to a low tier monster and makes for some wacky scenarious... like calling deviljho and flying in his nest in area 2 of deserted island..... There are ways to deal with his ability to call like sonic bomb, flinching, traps and status effects.... but if you still struggle with that, it's just a big skill issue
Tigrex and Volvidon are two monsters that deserve a special place in hell for me, i absolutely hate fighting them lol. Theyre not particularly difficult, they just WON'T SIT STILL!!

Nobody Mentions it because almost nobody has fought it, even from people who actually played 4U. Apex Gravios from MH4U. The actual worst monster. If you fought regular G rank Gravios in GU, and thought his homing tank laser walk attack was bad already, its even worse in 4U, he has his entire body wrapped in Apex mode armor deflecting ALL attacks, and even bullet shots, Minds Eye does not remove this effect, decreasing all damage taken including from his weakspots, has random speedups and slowdowns like hypers, but doesnt glow red to tell you when its gonna happen, and additionally, he has the entirety of Black Gravios sweeping and aimed/tracking beams added to his moveset, and additionally, his walking laser tank shot move CAN NOW fart deadly-one-shot level damage GAS around him with every step he takes after shooting out of his mouth, which is his Apex exclusive ability. If it wasn't bad enough, You literally cannot hit him with your weapons because Apex Armor requires Wystones to cut through him. The laser walk with his farting gas, wastes A TON of time, and he can use it consecutively whenever the hell he wants to, meaning your drive wystone will run-out, forcing you to run around while your only means of actual damage is gone, forcing you to wait for the drive cooldown to reset. Genuinely the actual worst monster they have ever designed.
Evasion up, evasion distance up, part breaker, and light bowgun/bow with pierce. Sure there were times it still got me, but I didn't find apex gravios too annoying.
I've fought Lunastra a total of 4 times, with way too much time played in MHW/Iceborne. I actively keep away from fighting her, I simply just want her gone.
Leshen is such an annoying fight. Having to deal with constant mob spam and AoE is a huge pain in the ass, especially doing it solo for the Witcher crossover quest.
@ At least the Ancient Leshen allows you to use full Fatalis gear for the fight. Normal Leshen pigeon holes you to the Capcom-approved Witcher sets every time if you are fighting the Leshen for the first time
@@ToaOfFusion nah i highly disagree, regular leshen was a piece of cake for me, done deal in 10 minutes. Ancient leshen was an absolute pain even in full fatalis gear. Constantly spamming the jagras summons, massive aoe's that force you to play super passive... He even has more hp than fatalis ffs!
Ah, yes, Kushala Daora; you could flail with melee or scramble at ranged - or you go ham with a Poison type Insect Glaive, which counters a lot of it: poison, obviously, to neuter its wind and eat away at its HP; IG's jumping strats let you practically fly up at it while it's in the air, and some Kinsects can even grant you a Windproof buff when collecting extracts. Chameleos is generally a good option (and already a counter to Daora), and in games that have it, Nerscylla weapons tend to have a good mix of high sharpness and high status (sleep, when not poison) as well as some affinity, in exchange for somewhat lower raw damage.
Kinda specific, but the gen 1 monsters in Freedom Unite are such an annoyance, I know I know theyre the first ones, but they either spam their frame-1 charges orkeeo getting away from You which makes half the fight chasing down the monster
great video, but you forgot the actually most annoying thing about Qurupeco: weapons bouncing of off it’s fire starter stones. you bounce, you can’t roll for a sec -> it spins, pecks or sets you on fire. even if you try to attack it from a good angle it might turn so you hit the stones and still bounce and get hit. absolutely rage inducing
Ngl if you manage to keep hitting those two pretty small spots, that's kind of a skill issue, no? A couple hunts in at most and you should have gotten the hang of you know... attacking with thought instead of mindlessly spamming attacks while merely hoping your attacks won't bounce.
@@ExSuPiO1 i don’t know what weapon you use i almost exclusively used longsword and it kept bouncing with the wide swings of the weapon. and no i was not button mashing or playing mindlessly. but thanks for directly calling skill issue. great stuff appreciated.
I only played World and Rise but I agree completely on Khezu and Kushala. For Kushala tho, he is great in Rise because he doesn't always spam tornado and hide inside it, plus the tornado does not last very long in that game. In World, it becomes so tedious because the fight drags on for far too long. Khezu is really annoying with constant screaming back to back. I hated Lunastra at first but if you prepare all the necessary item loadouts, she becomes quite fun (although Teo is a lot more fun than her). That said, her tail swipe is the most annoying part of her fight. Her tail's hitbox is so huge it can hit you from pretty far away. The most awful thing about her is her introductory fight in Special Assignment Pandora's Arena in MH World. Not only the arena is too small, plus at that first time you walked into the quest, you never know you needed Astera Jerky or Cool Drinks but the time for the quest is just 15 minutes which is really really annoying
I personally never had too many problems with Plesioth, even though everyone else seemed to. Evasion up made the battle easy in my experience, and evasion distance up on top of evasion up almost felt like overkill. Yes, Plesioth hit fast and hard, but the key word is *fast,* for they don't last for very long. Evasion up gave me enough I frames to comfortably avoid his hip check, and using a Light Bowgun allowed me to attack him from outside his tail spin's range, gave me enough distance to move out of the way of his slide on the ground attack, and even let me hit him when he was in the river. However, the monster(s) I hated the most was vespoids, in particular MHFU. No matter what you are doing, as soon as they spot you they will go after you, crossing the entire area just to sting you (they somehow spotted me easier than some big monsters, wtf), and getting paralyzed by a bloody bug in the middle of a fight was an almost guaranteed cart. Not only that, they can spawn dozens of times (up to 50 times, yes I counted every single vespoid kill) in a single area if you kill them, in some cases indefinitely (I reached 100 vespoid kills in an area once, and they STILL kept spawning). I would have gladly hunted for and traded 100 mantles if it meant removing them from the game permanently.
I would like to nominate the b52 bomber wyvern and the hangry pickle. I've had so many hunts interrupted by these two due to them actively seeking out the fight between me and my objective monster to fight
For all the older Monsters that had wings like Khezu or Kushala...OG players will hate them even more because finding one of those if you dare to forget to "paintball" them is just terrible. Prepare to walk around for at least 15 min.
pale extract existing gave khezu 100% priority on meowcenaries in sunbreak for me. If there was a hunt with khezu available, idc what any other option was, I'm sending them to go fight khezu. would also buy out all the pale extract from the trader when in stock, anything to not have to farm khezu. 💀
noone talks about how unengaging MR black diablos is; the constant charging, digging, charging, jumping and massive hitboxes makes her fight neigh unenjoyable. id rather fight nightshade pao, its genuinely that bad
how to beat black diablos: bring SnS, Lance, GL or ice CB guard when it does charge, attack the legs when stationary, it will trip also bring sonic bombs
Black Diablos is the #1 example why Tenderizing was a garbage addition to the game. Originally, Tenderizing lasted for what 90 seconds? Imagine you just tenderized Black Diane's leg and then she does the dig-attack three times. You will never get a window to hit your tenderized piece.
all of the monsters are annoying, but most really pale in comparison to the frontier monsters. even though that's the case i would definitely recommend making a custom server and emulating it if you like older gen mh it's really fun since you can control how grindy or difficult it gets
Maybe its just me but I hate Barioth in all of its forms. By the time you reach its quest your equipment isn't strong enough to withstand more than 3 hits since it hits like a truck, and on later releases it never seems to ever stop attacking. The only gimmick available for you is to break its wings early into the fight to make it stop for half a second after landing, but good luck if you're using a weapon that isn't great at breaking parts or applying exhaust, because that flying tiger never ever seems to stops moving.
Lunastra was a great fight and a vast improvement from being just a blue Teostra clone in the old games. If I'm being honest, she was a harder and better than her counterpart. She was more of a inconvenience to fight than Teostra, but had more to her fight than Teostra. She really makes you stop trying brute forcing and spamming and make you think carefully instead. Or you can just put some more defensive skills on to help. But I know a lot of MHWorld players are allergic to both of those things. But I do agree with Kushala being annoying, especially when he's always in the air. Giving me ptsd from Azure Rathalos in MHFreedom
I’m not sure if I just got lucky but kushala was surprisingly easy when I was doing my great sword playthrough after seeing the wilds trailer. I didn’t even have a maxed loudout (couldn’t get a rathalos ruby to save my life) and just ran him with whatever gear I could get and no wind res. It only took me 12 minutes solo. Could be I just figured out how to counter him plus he went to the sloped area of the map so I got a few mounts off.
I actualy love kushala, i LOVE his fight, i actualy got him on my first run ever solo, i had no idea that he was so unlikeable, i just think hes fun, just be pasient and counter his attacks (i play sns)
1:10 " It inputs read me and does the whole body lightning again" . This is wrong! It has 2 types of whole body lightning: Number one: it justdoes normally, Number 2: The hunter yells look out indicating it is the double one. There is no input reading
Im surprised nightshade paolumu isn't here. That thing whas so unbearably annoying with it never landing and combing sleep with powerful charge attacks.
Khezu is nothing, Old gen's red Khezu was so much worse, having a massive AOE that hits everything, and homing thunder orbs Kushala's gotten so much better from old gen, removal of dragon blight from it's claws, though they did remove poison removing the wind... Lunastra never hunted as I couldn't play world and never got that far in FU Quru is indeed annoying as heck, the beak and wing flints are so annoying with their bouncing Plesioth in gu was actually a good fight, it's gotten so much hate over the years for a single move, I went back and faught it in FU and the fish was fine, then again I was doing a bow hunt so idk about melee
If i had a hated monster it whould be conga and congalala for its gas attacks and monster hunter world's fatalis. Previous game iterations of fatalis was litterally of being very skilled and know what ur doing. Meenwhile in worlds case its a litteral *raid boss* that your required to fight it a certain way with a certain play style and the fact that u have to fight it solo with a npc that does no damage to it over time and is just there to look pretty leaves u to doing all the work in under 25 minutes is downright criminal
Mine was Lunastra. You can get close or you take tick damage and you can be far away because of these stupid fire puddles. If she uses her ult I just far cast out of there. I fought her once in base world and then again for her AT version. That was enough for me.
I hate Jyurdaotus. The fact they took a plain, boring monster from World and updated his move set to be fucking annoying! A water hipcheck, the mud projectiles and the fact he leaves mud everywhere!
(I’ve only played mhw) Lunastra is definitely up there for me, can’t stand that bloody wench. Only other one I know is Kushala, who like I said last video isn’t that bad in world, definitely not nearly as bad as everyone made it out to be before I fought it. Some others that would be up there for me as most annoying/least enjoyable to fight monsters are tigrex and brute tigrex, Diablos and black Diablos, and Paolumu and nightshade Paolumu. Also I’ve only seen 3 piscine wyverns cause there’s only 3 in world, but they’re all kinda lame and can be pretty annoying, definitely the worst class of monster (unless we count relict, in which case that is the worst cause leshen and ancient leshen are just terrible).
I fully understand why you would find those monsters annoying. And yes, piscine wyverns manage to be either super boring or super frustrating almost every time. Leshen should have never existed in Monster Hunter in my opinion. Polish folklore has so many cool monsters that could have worked better than Leshen in every conceivable way.
im angry that lunastra is on this list cuz i lowkey think she's fire, it at most requires positional awareness to counter her attacks and otherwise shes rather easy as long as you dont let her charge her nova. i just wish ignited dust was blockable; it makes fighting her as a lance or gunlance absolute misery imo (unless you have guard up)
MF kushala daora. In tight spaces the tornadoes will hardlock you and you will get clapped because of BS. On khezu I personally almost always use the bow, so it's alright.
Good list bu luna is by far the least anoying of this list, astera jerky make her nova useless and for the rest she's pretty predictable, just beware of the flame pools
Not sure if this counts but Extreme Behemoth is so annoying i hate that dreaded thing so much i wish final fantasy never did a collaboration with Monster Hunter and the ONLY good thing coming out of that quest is the layered armor thats IT I HATE THAT STUPID DOG
I'm surprised I found khezo there😅it was always a easy kill in every mh game especially in mh4u it was just screaming a lot which allowed Me to dump a lot of damge
Kushala's tornados are very bad, but besides that he's okay, so Rise version is totally fine, Khezu and Lunastra are definitely not that bad Plesioth on the other hand is an absolute trash! Don't know about Tri, but in gen 1 this guy is absolutely atrocious
@@xJayst If that thing exist, you can add it too because he is really annoying as well . All it does is screaming, spitting poison , and crawling around the ceiling
Different people have Different Quirk making MH is Interesting, only 1 monster on this list that i consider Annoying. And everyone trashing Plesioth, but i think they're Okay.
Lunastra is literally one of the most well designed monsters (in the same caliber as Alatreon, Raging Brachydios, Furious Rajang, etc.) in the game and it's so funny seeing people who refuse to learn the game then complain that the monster is "bullshit" lmao
@@Nwaaah If you are referring to the wind pressure. Then it's a mechanic that has been in Monster Hunter games since the very first installment on PS2. When your hunter performs an attack, they gains a certain amount of Wind Resistance and Flinch resistance (yes, that means Flinch free is actually not necessary in multiplayer at all unless you're playing elemental triple poke Lance SPECIFICALLY). For most of the heavy weapons like GS, LS, SA, Hunting Horn, ALL attacks give you Wind Resistance 5, means whenever she uses a wind-based attack to stagger you, you can just any attack of your own to "parry" it She is vulnerable to close range melee combat, so you can, and should go near her. In fact, most of her movements and combo are specifically designed to get you away from her. All her blue fire attacks spraying OUTWARD, means her "mid range" is actually long range, and her "close range" is actually mid range. And she has only one move that can set up blue flame in actual "close range" distance, being frontal trailblaze attack, borderline useless when used alone (not combo-ing it with other moves) Her flame barrier DoT is completely neutralized if you used a Cool Drink, which is not the case for Teostra (Teostra's flame barrier also leaves behind patches of ash that inflicts you with Fireblight which nullifies your natural recovery, while Lunastra's DoT are recoverably, so Teostra's flame barrier is undeniably harder to deal with than Luna's) All blue flame strong effects require 2 attacks to happens, a set up (where she lays out blue puddles on the ground) and a trigger (her orange flame attacks), so if you got hit by a blue flame, that means you misplayed twice and should be properly punished
Thank you for trashing Plesioth. It means a lot

It has 2 types of whole body lightning:
Number one: it justdoes normally,
Number 2: The hunter yells look out indicating it is the double one.
There is no input reading
Im surprised nightshade paolumu isn't here. That thing whas so unbearably annoying with it never landing and combing sleep with powerful charge attacks.
Khezu is nothing, Old gen's red Khezu was so much worse, having a massive AOE that hits everything, and homing thunder orbs
Kushala's gotten so much better from old gen, removal of dragon blight from it's claws, though they did remove poison removing the wind...
Lunastra never hunted as I couldn't play world and never got that far in FU
Quru is indeed annoying as heck, the beak and wing flints are so annoying with their bouncing
Plesioth in gu was actually a good fight, it's gotten so much hate over the years for a single move, I went back and faught it in FU and the fish was fine, then again I was doing a bow hunt so idk about melee
MH Gen Khezu seems to love flying off all the time. Grinds my gears
i've only faced them in 4U and GU but i can attest to khezu and kushala daora being the absolute worst for the reasons given.
A water hipcheck, the mud projectiles and the fact he leaves mud everywhere!
yeah, they are all pretty annoying, but have you ever tried to repel a group of bullfangos in an egg quest?
@@xJaystYeah they can choose literally anything from Witcher(I guess) and it would have worked way better than leshen can ever be
im angry that lunastra is on this list cuz i lowkey think she's fire, it at most requires positional awareness to counter her attacks and otherwise shes rather easy as long as you dont let her charge her nova.
i just wish ignited dust was blockable;
it makes fighting her as a lance or gunlance absolute misery imo (unless you have guard up)
i just do helicopter on her with my IG, easy peasy
the mimic is more like a tutorial to use poop
I will always have a white hot rage towards lagombi
What longs sword is he using against kuahala? I can’t recognise it
I think it was Safi'Jiva
You think qurupeco calling a rathian is bad? Boy you are naive
fyi you didnt tag the plesioth section so if we look at the bar it looks like you went on an EXTRA LONG RANT about quropeco :P
@@tipsy634 damn, thanks for the info lol
Where my bois gen 2 chameleos and purple gypceros at? Both of them outrank everyone on this list except plesioth imo.
No Cephadrome? 😮
Cephadrome is in my other video about annoying monsters
@@xJayst cool, watching it right now :) very nice channel you got there!
not a single monster from MH Freedom. Why?
MF kushala daora. In tight spaces the tornadoes will hardlock you and you will get clapped because of BS. On khezu I personally almost always use the bow, so it's alright.
Chameleos is one of the most annoying monsters always stealing your stuff.
are we not going to talk about basarios? basically lavasioth but worse in my opinion.
none of them come close to bloodbath diablos XD
Good list bu luna is by far the least anoying of this list, astera jerky make her nova useless and for the rest she's pretty predictable, just beware of the flame pools
Not sure if this counts but Extreme Behemoth is so annoying i hate that dreaded thing so much i wish final fantasy never did a collaboration with Monster Hunter and the ONLY good thing coming out of that quest is the layered armor thats IT I HATE THAT STUPID DOG
Can't you poison Kushala to disable the shield?
Or does this no longer work?
Not in world/iceborne.
World removed it in flavor of elder seal which is stupid
I'm surprised I found khezo there😅it was always a easy kill in every mh game especially in mh4u it was just screaming a lot which allowed Me to dump a lot of damge
Kushala's tornados are very bad, but besides that he's okay, so Rise version is totally fine, Khezu and Lunastra are definitely not that bad
Plesioth on the other hand is an absolute trash! Don't know about Tri, but in gen 1 this guy is absolutely atrocious
For me it's Kushalla 100% I only fought him 2 times one in World and one in Rise no thank you.
somnacanth and rise jyuratodus. holy shit i hate them with a burning passion
Is there no gigginox in monster hunter world?
Sadly not
@@xJayst If that thing exist, you can add it too because he is really annoying as well . All it does is screaming, spitting poison , and crawling around the ceiling
@@duwaigimang1725 just like me when I don't take my meds
Got anger issues from the thumbnail...
i see the complain about khushala, but belive me, kushala worrld is extreemely easy compared to lets say monster hunter freedom unite
i'd replace peco with bazel both versions
Agree with all except quropiko
Small hitbox kirin.
I hate Barioth
Ginnox PoS from MHP3rd!!!!
All of these monsters are great. Ya'll just hating
lagombi is most annoying
I hate uragaan and barroth
Different people have Different Quirk making MH is Interesting, only 1 monster on this list that i consider Annoying. And everyone trashing Plesioth, but i think they're Okay.
f plesioth
Lunastra is literally one of the most well designed monsters (in the same caliber as Alatreon, Raging Brachydios, Furious Rajang, etc.) in the game and it's so funny seeing people who refuse to learn the game then complain that the monster is "bullshit" lmao
Finally someone said it.
What mechanic am I disregarding when I can't go near it. Genuine question, I don't fight her much.
@@Nwaaah
If you are referring to the wind pressure. For most of the heavy weapons like GS, LS, SA, Hunting Horn, ALL attacks give you Wind Resistance 5, means whenever she uses a wind-based attack to stagger you, you can just any attack of your own to "parry" it
She is vulnerable to close range melee combat, so you can, and should go near her. In fact, most of her movements and combo are specifically designed to get you away from her. All her blue fire attacks spraying OUTWARD, means her "mid range" is actually long range, and her "close range" is actually mid range. And she has only one move that can set up blue flame in actual "close range" distance, being frontal trailblaze attack, borderline useless when used alone (not combo-ing it with other moves)
Her flame barrier DoT is completely neutralized if you used a Cool Drink, which is not the case for Teostra (Teostra's flame barrier also leaves behind patches of ash that inflicts you with Fireblight which nullifies your natural recovery, while Lunastra's DoT are recoverably, so Teostra's flame barrier is undeniably harder to deal with than Luna's)
All blue flame strong effects require 2 attacks to happens, a set up (where she lays out blue puddles on the ground) and a trigger (her orange flame attacks), so if you got hit by a blue flame, that means you misplayed twice and should be properly punished
@@ramika30898 Cool, thanks for the info. I only started in World, so this is my first game.
Mate it's not about learning the game. I've been playing since PS2, but Lunastra is objectively a pretty crappy fight.
The only answer here is Lunastra. All other opinions are invalid before that walking fireball of trash
