@NumbchuxSOAD They recommend doing a 4" bracket lift, but I did it with a 2" body/drivetrain (motor mount spacers and lower-profile tcase crossmember) lift, and a slight dent in the oil pan.
@89yotarollagts Pretty easy, as far as engine swaps go. It fits very well in the engine bay, little tight on the sides, and an electric radiator fan is a must. But it's common, and very well-documented. I was able to do this without fabricating anything, bolt-in motor mount adapters, adapter from the 700r4 transmission to the toyota tcase, stock replacement tcase crossmember. You do need to have some sort of lift though for oil pan clearance.
It was originally a 22RTE, but the motor was in non-functioning condition when I bought it. I put an old-tired 22RE in it to replace it and drove it for awhile with that, but even that is probably not a fair comparison. I will say, though, I have absolutely no desire for more power, or to regear. Even on 35" tires.
Was your runner a turbo 22ret before the swap? I have one and an considering the swap how would you compare the 4.3 to the 22ret, is the swap worth it?
@audrianuh10 Stock. The engine controls in the blazer are very well laid out isolated from the rest of the harness. Easiest engine swap wiring I've ever done.

Where can I buy the adapter for the ecu, when swapping an 86 chevy 4.3 into a 94 4runner.?
I try not to think about it. With the 35" tires and such, it's in the low teens.
sounds sweet, How easy of a swap was it ? my headgasket is leaking in my pickup & a swap of some sort has been going through my mind

Am looking into doing my Runner like this. What kind of MPG are you getting with the 4.3?

What year 4.3 is that?
