Yep gotta use the bag behind the foam. I also use those rubber floor mat pieces that you piece together for like a shop floor. They are $30 for 6 of them and fit a vegas 3 spot target perfectly. Love these Vid's see ya in Vegas on the podium :)

Yeah totally agree on the bag Steve. It's good to practice into, but after you've had it for a while it's hard to get the targets to stay on. I'm going to go the sliced approach like your customer (aka my brother) did as you can then move the shot out centre to the outer edges. See ya Friday!

At the Canadian Nationals last summer we used targets filled with fabric. Easy removal and hardy any pass throughs. I have a small version for home that didnt shoot though for almost a year! They weigh a tonne is the only side affect. Predator targets out of Truro Nova Scotia.

I love my High Roller by Morrell, just ordered the bigger one. I'll poke a hole into in one day. Next day just place the target in a different spot. 6 sides. But I do love how it stays flat and my arrows stick in straight.

Yeah, I second that. I've got a PSE Drive 3B compound bow set at 65lb, shooting 425gr Easton Hexx (carbon) arrows and they generally penetrate about 140-170mm (5.5-6.6") at 5m range. The arrows are easy to pull out too. A very nice target

Hi steve, can you please do a video on actually replacing the cores on the fast go 50cm target ? IS it correct that the fast go replacement cores are much deeper than the actual target butt ?..as is the case with my recent order ? ie, will stick out one side when flush on the other...Much thanks

Some people use 4 ft. x 6 ft. x 3/4 in. Thick Rubber Stall Mat, 1202220 from tracker supply as a target backing. What do you think of the EVA foam with a mat behind it? Would the EVA slow down the arrow so it doesn't put a hole in the mat?

Correct me if I'm wrong…the paraphrased version of this video is simply: buy this $80 target and place a real target behind it for it to work? This foam is good for a target face, but won't stop arrows? This foam does what cardboard does but yiu don't need to replace the cardboard (for 8 months+)?

If the bag is stopping the arrow why do you need the foam?

    Hello sir,
Would a 17cm thick target stop a 35 pounds olympic recurve?
    Cheers

Cant believe you gave the guy a refund!... They wouldn't do that in UK.
    Why not just say no

It is a 122cm target made of 9 pieces of foam like lego. I love it. So I will use it myself. I figure at $400 anyone would buy it. The customer brought two and kept one. I think he wanted more than his money back. I said Im giving you your money back what else do you want? The target came back without the frame. But 9 pieces of foam $45 a piece that is so cheap it is crazy. I don't know if I will buy them again. They came from China they are used by China Archery for target archery. But you need to buy a container of them. The margins are low and they take up a lot of storage space.
The Fastgo target from Vietam is a harder foam about the same price a bit cheaper. But I a container of foam targets is a heap of space to hold and they do take time to sell.
What I liked about the 9 foam peices is I could ship them around Australia to country areas. But I think I will put that on the back burner for a bit.
I do like these EVA targets - I have sold heaps of them.
It is always better to refund someone and cost you money than to have people leave bad reviews and leave bad comments like my lone hatter up top.
Even with him I thought I was more than reasonable. But he is no longer my problem now.
I would also say that 99.5% of customers are more than reasonable, if you look after them they look after you.

@@ArcherySuppliesLonsdale yes that makes sense. Sometimes though i feel people take advantage and almost blackmail people into fear of a "Bad review" to get refunds.
I think people now adays expect to see the odd grumpy customer but the majority reviews are all good.
I then take comfort from the knowledge that the business is run by humans and occasionaly shit happens!
Sometimes staff failings sometimes cusomers heavenly high expectations
Other times and more often the case in the Uk main suppliers issues causing frustration to customers. But not the shops fault.
Sometimes i think it wise to say No to people even if they have a rant online.
Rest of us will then know whos got the issues.
So easy when reading reviews to judge who the plonker is and is not.
Dont let em take advantage of your kindness.

Look after your customers and they come back. Your theory will make you very broke very fast.
