    I recommend everybody watch George Ross in the hougeorge riles and how he tells you to shoot a hinge release it is amazing if you just listen to what he says

    We just made one with a Morrell High Roller block and 2 4x4 blocks of dock foam. Put the foam back to back and trace your Morrell on the foam. Cut it out and slide it in and put it all in a wooden frame and strap it. Awesome for 60-120yrds. The Morrell holds up good and the foam works great for if you flinch at 70+.

    Looks like the best target out there. Debating between the 24 and 36. The 36 is so much more expensive though. It seems like the best approach is the 24 with a good backstop behind like hay bales or rubber.

      @jeffcordero_  2 роки тому +1

      The 24 would be good if you had another backstop. If you don’t I would recommend the 36.

    I've heard about this target and am sold. I was just watching the delta mackenzie mofoam vids but there's no way a foam target can hold up, even compressed. I have several SEVR's, and a bunch of hard foam (rineharts and morrells) but I like these 365's..

    I don't get it. What is the point of the foam outside the block part of the target. Is it just to catch the arrows when you make a really bad shot?

    • @jeffcordero_
      @jeffcordero_  3 роки тому +1

      Yes pretty much. It increases the total surface area of the target to make it larger at a "cheaper" cost to the manufacture and buyer. The outer area is not nearly as dense and made with a different foam material. Ive plugged a few arrows into it myself and liked having it.

    Currently own one of these i picked up on sale. They don't last nearly what they say they will. Had it since May, average 3 nights a week shooting say 50 arrows as I am using a 90lb bow, about 2000-2500 arrows and I rotate the sides every time I shoot. I can say that I like the target but I am not going to see the longevity out of the core they are saying. Bbroadheads go clean thru the target (600 grain arrow, 90lb bo at 303fps, probably not made for what I am throwing at it. 15 shots with a broadhead was all it took for the arrow to bury past the fletching and pop out the back with a broadhead.
    Overall I can say that it is lasting longer then my other targets I have used (block, rhinehart, and grizz target), I'll need a new core here shortly though. What I am interested in is the matrix targets, because everyone shoots the centres of their targets and having the ability to rotate thru the cells is a good idea. Sadly I cannot get them here in Canada. Looks like a drive south of the border is in order once it opens back up.

    • @jeffcordero_
      @jeffcordero_  3 роки тому

      After shooting it a bunch myself and starting to shoot broadheads into it I can see it breaking down. Fortunately I have it leaned up against that backstop which helps stop the arrows. I still like it, it’s holding up well and is taking more abuse than other foam targets I’ve purchased. But to your point I can agree that it’s probably not going to last as long as it’s stated.

    • @caninphx

      @@jeffcordero_ yup, disappointing, if I just shot field points maybe. I'm blowing junks out the back side of all the sides now, starts off usually shall pieces but I blew a 2-3 inch piece and my arrows field tips blow right thru now. The cores are not cheap either to replace.

    • @jeffcordero_

      I’m on my second core (because I short the first one out with broadheads) The outer foam is a little faded, but still stops the wayward arrows 🙃.

    Watching this video are you hammering that thumb button and then slinging your arm back? If you would pull thru the shot and NOT MOVE the thumb your arm will not fly back. It will only move a few inches

    • @jeffcordero_
      @jeffcordero_  2 роки тому +1

      Hey Tim, so there isn't only one way to shoot any given release. There are plenty of high level competition shooters that hammer a thumb button and are very successful at it. What it comes down to is repeatability and consistency. Different stokes for different folks

    How's the yellow and black versus something like white and black targets? I haven't purchased my go to target yet. Deciding between the 365 or the matrix. I've always wanted the matrix but now this 365 has me intrested and idk if I'm happy about that or not. Seems like the block itself is legit and it looks like it'll last forever with the 6 sides

    These foam targets of any brand WILL NOT LAST as long as a decent quality bag target. Even like the Morrell supreme 3. I have four that are years and years old. Just order new covers on s sale at amazon sellers and Walmart delivered to your door. THEY ARE PACKED WITH SHREDDED CLOTH ETC. I just stomp on them to rearrange the stuffing and put a new cover on. No way am I paying the ridiculous prices for a very consumable IMO arrow stop.

      @@Cbow406 no, field/target points. Saying even with target points the bags last years. Foam ones get destroyed at my house in like 3 months. I use the foam for broadheads which is only like 150 shots all fall long. Sighting in and then a few shots every week.

      I’ll probably be doing an update video in the next month or two. Over all its holding up well. It is chunking and coming apart, but that’s from the overuse of broadheads leading up to and durning hunting season. Honestly that was to be expected. Dispute that, it’s still stopping field points and holding up the the weather outside well. I’d still say it’s a quality target and worth my money
