Engine, Clutch (this bike is this small of abike doesn't usually use a torque converter) Chain, throttle cable and that's it. remember to get a chain tensioner if you don't have one.
Nice DB30S my man! I did two of these myself. I think they are the best quintessential mini bike all around. I have a couple MM80s that rip but I love those Doodlebugs boy!
I've done this conversion many times my latest one I stretched the frame 6in cutting it right behind the rear fender support move the seat back made it very comfortable to ride
so there are no companies out there that make a replacement engine for these mini bikes without having to drill new mounting holes ? im not too mechanically inclined to make new holes on the frame for a predator motor , mine too has the original baja motor in it thats clapped out .

Aaron, ... Simple ,get a general engineering shop to make a new set & build some geometry into the triple trees....they should be in alignment with your steering head.. it'll shopping Trinder steer at high speed otherwise despite the factory getting it wrong.Cheers Trev NZ🇳🇿😎

Is a mounting plate essential for the engine with this build? Will I be OK if I place my engine in holes,I drilled in the mounting plate without a mounting plate?
some people still ask for $350 with bad paint and original 97cc motor haha. getting one today for $120 with a bad 97cc motor. just gonna paint and swap a 212 on there and make profit. it’ll be the 3rd doodlebug in my garage currently haha
It sold for $400..If they are refurbished correctly without cutting corners I get new prices every time sometimes more depending on upgrades..I live in Alabama by the way
I just sold mine for 800 had a built predator removed governor closed off holes did stage 2 cammed ported polished pipe mikuni vm22 it would keep up with a kx85 lol 😆 scary Lil bug!
I just picked one of these up as well with a predator 212. Getting the frame powder coated right now. Can't wait to get it back together.

Does the 97 clutch work with the predator? I wanna do this too.
No its different size. Predator clutch is bigger

@@randymagnum6680 Randy for a cheap race clutch if their the same type... manufacturers use the weights out of the 79 in the 212 size...😎🇳🇿
