Absolutely - the Australian golfer, Greg Norman, was known as the 'Great White Shark'. Tommy Emmanuel - the 'Great White haired guitar shark'. Don't underestimate as well the brilliance [and I mean, brilliance] of Richard Smith. Both are true musicians - they love music and they give to others.

The first song they were playing was 'Deed I do.'' My father taught me to play this on ukulele when I was 9 yrs old, and I had to sing it too! Lovely to hear this version! It's much better than mine was! LOL!
Look at how much fun these guys are having! Shows that if you spend many years perfecting something that you love, you'll be able to love doing it even more.
brings joy to a Monday morning listening to these guys :) In 3/6 TE and RS go for the same lick end of Alabama Jubilee, too much! I met TE at CAAS in 2022, that's his guitar in my profile pic, I should have had a Maton t-shirt on that day! :)
I, like most of Tommy's fans, would love a book with his biography, experiences etc it would be a treasure. I invite everyone to write to his site and ask for it. Hope we can get that great legacy. Best wishes to all the fans around the world!
Its amazing they're playing stuff thats almost 100 years old. And in their hands has the magic it did when it was made. I guess when you dont have a busy modern life to distract you, you can write incredible and timeless music.
The longer I listen to this the more I envy you. Although envy kinda implies that I am not happy for you, but I am! I'm glad you got to experience this and I thank you with all my heart to share this wonderful moment with all of us. Have an incredible day.

God, what a sweet sound. 😍 Not enough people my age (22) understand and appreciate this kind of music and the talent in playing the way these guys do. And, ya know, music is subjective and people can like what they want but this style should never die. I hope it never does.
Enough with the young folk copying songs verbatim. Time for the super skilled old folk with experience and chops to sit down four at a time making it sound so nice. Loved it so much listened to it thrice. God bless.
man, this old guys really jamming it good, reminds me of my late brother who really loves playing guitar even in his last remaining days still strumming his beloved guitar in bed, broke my heart upon watching this, so sad that we lost him.

I love how each musician quiets down for the guy who’s taking the solo. True musicianship!!
thats how music with soloists works??????????????
that's the point when you jam together ;)
Great repley .Was thinking the same thing. Some people are so ignorent.
What Greg is pointing out is respect instead of ego or showing off, on which many solos are based, sadly.
