The crazy part is also the storyline. On the Discord screen you can seen them talking about video stored on a external server and in another mission you raid that exact datacenter.
yeah, a lot of the missions are actually connected, which adds a lot to the world building.
how the first mission eventually leads to the raid on the run down drug lab.
RoN has the best environmental storytelling I've seen awhile. You can catch the whole story by explorinh the maps, reading evidences in the evidence room and listening all briefs/calls on the tablet. The last mission had a pretty shocking container too.
Just went to the steam page and charts to see if it's worth it to buy and usually it takes multiplayer games months to start losing players but this game has lost 66% of its player base only 2 weeks after launch. So I'm starting to think that the game isn't that good. The game is already dying lol.

This is a big W for game creators. We need more game creators that are allowed to take some risks like this and add a little fun into their games. No one like a corporate bland game.
The AI's do get a bit unfair and inhuman at times but still a really good and fun game in general
At least there's mods to fix it, but the fact it's been a problem for so long but they don't or won't fix it themselves is pretty disappointing.
It got people to start looking into the game's code to see how it got so bad and they found stuff like the Ai having 270 degree vision.
Back when Rainbow Six came out in 98, you could die from a bullet grazing your hand. Ready or Not isn't so bad. Especially since it has a lot going on and the AI has to be able to provide a challenge for players. That's why cones of vision are so wide, to make the AI an actual threat to seasoned players.
Yeah I heard this was an error. Hopefully it's fixed soon. If not there may be mods that fix it.
@@My-Name-Isnt-Important See the problem is that it's not a "cone" of vision at this point, the only spot they can't see is directly behind them, and then combine that with their extremely high reaction speed.
played a few days ago and had an npc 180 and kill me in 0.5s with a mac10 while iwas full health with heavy armor. granted i was playing with a friend at 270 ping but you die way too quick sometimes and from ridiculous angles to boot

RoN maps have insane details, the club shooting one, where the dead bodies still have their phones ringing from likely families or friends.
They're so knowledgeable about seemingly every scenario, they even know about hot gluing which is the implication from the figurine flavor text. It's amazing and at times hilarious

It's a hell of a fun game, if difficult at times: The release is a good experience both solo and with friends for people who like tac shooters.

i remember seeing the mission, the room and level designer fucking COOKED with this level. There's so many easter eggs and references to so many internet stuff it's insane. Actual masterpiece of a level
The game is quite impressive.
It's the tactical FPS people have wanted for years (after Ubisoft fk'd Rainbow Six Siege) and the studio have listened to feedback and worked hard on it. The game is also not afraid to shock or be realistic.
I love this game. I was surprised at how fucked up some of the scenarios are.

It's no unplayable, servers work fine and bots on your team if you choose to play alone are admitedly dumb BUT, they do get their work done in most cases@@darthchili4994
@@darthchili4994AI are aimbot and become aggressive with 100ms reaction time even on the smallest exposure of your body, grenades barely do anything against them and even low lighting conditions shoot you from far away
The streamer in question is called "milkytoes". It all just fits.
The setup for this mission is also amazing. You get a 911 call from someone claiming to be in the apartment complex who says someone has shot their mom and taken their brother hostage. You arrive at the scene of the crime and hear active shooting so as far as you know this is a solo guy being an active shooter. Then you stumble upon a gang-guarded illegal server farm and discover the guy has been dealing with pedo material and this sets up the rest of the campaign about taking down a big pedo ring.
The best part? The gunshots were coming from his video games and his mom and brother are fine (you find the mother living next door sliding home-cooked meals through a vent to feed her son). Someone swatted him for being a streamer. You finding all this other stuff is pure coincidence.
Did throw most players off guard since people were expecting this to just be swatting a streamer, but RoN teaches you a lesson to be preapred for anything

Ready or Not is an INSANE game. It's like the Dark souls of FPS games in terms of environmental story missions, the 911 calls are pretty crazy to hear. I downloaded a nexus mod called tacspeak which allows you to give voice commands and it makes it so much more immersive.

agree. Every map and i mean *every* map got their own environmental storytelling. The streamer house filled with degen and unhinged shits and ofc the valley of dolls map which contain a lot of fucked up hidden details like the barrel in the basement

It's legit insane how real this game is, I urge anyone to give it a go if you like a challenging FPS that might give you PTSD. P.s you have never experienced being flashbanged by your team mates more in a game.

This game is scary as fuck honestly, one minute you are chilling walking through a corridor and everything is quiet and then BAM shots start flying and aiming gets really hard.
Every map has this level of detail. It's glorious!

The Ready or Not team are awesome. The level of detail in thier other levels is top tier as well. If you're okay with some visually disturbing things when put into context, I can't recommend it enough. It's a great Swat Sim.

Yeah, they probably could have paid artists to draw anime art for them but probably cheaper and good enough to use AI for one specific mission

He would play it for 30 minutes and then quit out of frustration before talking about his anxiety for another 30 minutes.

I remember seeing the trailer for this I think back and April and it was great to watch which I reccomend you watch it but if there's a game were you can swat a streamer I'm sold. Devs did amazing with this seems accurate but did they change it? I thought it was gonna he about bitcoin mining and possibly drug related aswell?
Those are other missions, i think they're already in the game. Overall there's a good amount of mission variety already, with busting a meth lab, a prostitution ring, a corner store, an office building, and more.
The game is very serious and more of a horror game the further you get. At first time starts with a simple diner robbery call and then the streamer mission which leads down into a string of events pursuing a pdfile organization as well as a drug cartel. There's a total of 18 missions that can be played online or solo.
I highly recommend the game but play in dx12 because performance and stutters are an issue.
Damn this game is going to be even more popular now that asmon is promoting. Remember y'all this is not COD you got to be tactical
Got a friend just like this, back when R6 was just a couple of years, i gave my friend R6, he played 2 games died every round cuz he just rushed and played it like CoD then said that people are cheating and its a shit game and left and never started it since :P

To be fair, MW1 (2019) had clear house and I think wolves den? On veteran, quite tactical. But not a patch on this, this wipes the floor with the Rainbow Six Siege that Ubisoft screwed up after Vegas 1 & 2 which were tactical. This game deserves all the praise.
Apart from some moments where the enemy AI feels like descendants of John Wick, this game is just amazing. Specially for those, like myself, who loved the old SWAT series, like SWAT 4, and were left with no real tactical swat fps game after that one.

this is like a swat-simulator of various streamers getting swatted O.o
When i initially played this mission first, i legit thought this was going to be a fake swatting situation
But i was caught off guard what i was about to see when i entered the room
Its funny cause I thought the same with the phone call how he killed his mom and holding his brother hostage but one of the dialogue of his brother is "Did my brother do something?" meaning he probably wasnt in any damger. At first I thought the dude was illegally crypto mining and that was why he was arrested until I played the mission again but this time with friends and then one of my friends said "Are these pictures of kids?" I legit never found them until he pointed it out and Im just shocked that some of the pics next to his bed are inappropriate (not to the extreme of course. Gotta keep a certain rating) images of either kids or teens. I just went to the streamer who we arrested and just killed him after and took a C rank.

I have done this mission.. During the briefing it is mentionned the suspect murdered his mother and holds his brother hostage. He also has dealing with suspiciscious people (inside his rented rooms, you will find bitcoin farming servers, or hacking servers..etc)
There is no mention of pedophilia.

You missed the interesting bits. Check out 1:51, there's the messages talking about the 'prime' stuff on Mindjot servers, and check his bedside drawer, there's 'pictures'. This mission also leads to the Mindjot raid and the Valley of the Dolls mission, which both mention pedo stuff

Ready or not is great swat 4 successor we been waiting for for years. Fun fact Activision have rights to swat yet refused to make a tactical shooter with out bunny hopping or booty sliding with ruined Call of duty .
