- Studio and publisher Skydance Games offered a first look at gameplay for its upcoming action adventure VR game, Skydance's BEHEMOTH, slated to release later this year. The gameplay trailer offers viewers a glimpse of the breathtaking traversal gameplay, brutal physics-based hand-to-hand combat and larger-than-life boss battles that await them.
Skydance's BEHEMOTH tells an original story set in the Forsaken Lands, the plague-ravished wasteland of a once glorious empire, where its inhabitants are driven mad and cities have fallen to ruin. Players take on the role of a cursed warrior embarking on a perilous quest to rid the Lands of an insurmountable threat: the monstrous Behemoths.
In glorious VR fashion, this treacherous journey will bring the warrior to their limits, requiring their wits, skills, and unyielding determination to overcome whatever brutality the Forsaken Lands have in store for them.

@@edmtrip Retribution was neat, but it was totally unpolished. There were a lot of bugs and the game never even tells you how to get the grenade launcher, a critical weapon in the game.
@@TornadoeJoe yeah, I heard it had bugs when they launched the game, but when I played it on PC VR 3 months ago there wasn´t bugs and graphics were as good as the first chapter

I’m happy to say I was one of the first to point out how strong the protagonist is. For those of you who don’t know, his name is Wren the Hunter. His end goal is to rid him and his village of an alleged or supposed “curse”. Not sure if that’s a metaphor to make the lore more mysterious, but it helps mask what exactly you are supposed to be doing in the game. There are exactly 4 “biomes” in the “Forsaken Lands” (name of main map), two of which we know are The Tundra and The Marshlands. Right after that in the description, it states that Wren is bestowed with super strength. As follows: “Use you superstrength in bone-crunching, flesh-cleaving ways to cut down, maim, sever, break, and rip apart your enemies.” I am just very surprised I was the first one to realize how strong he was, despite his frail stature. He literally grappled a tree and uprooted it sideways, to have it come literally CRASHING down on an enemy in front of him. He also barely, and I mean BARELY dodged the chain flail the came thundering into the ground. He was like a foot or two MAX away from it, and instead of getting his flesh rended from the front of his body from the shockwave like a normal person would, he just gets sent flying back and LANDS ON HIS DAMN FEET? SCREW POISON IN HIS VEINS I THINK THAT STUFF IS VENOM FROM THE BATMAN UNIVERSE (A.K.A the stuff that Babe needs to have pumped directly into his veins every twelve or so hours in order to not suffer lethal withdrawals, but also makes him a 6’8 Santa Priscan weighing in at nearly 400 pounds and allows him to near-effortlessly lift 15 tonnes. Yeah, he’s JUST THAT STRONG. He’s also one of Batman’s smartest villains believe it or not). I also love that when he clenched his fists while talking about the poison in his veins, his veins go from normal colored and un-pumped to straight charcoal black and appear to have been given a lethal dose of creatine. I’m just so damn excited for this game. I was a day one for this project when the cinematic trailer first came out, and before it was delayed to the time it is now. “THE POISON IN MY VEINS BEGS ME TO KILL!!”

As somebody who loved retribution, just move on. It wasn’t that buggy. Just enjoy a new IP that they are creating, and let them focus on it.

Either way they still got away with millions of dollars that they stole right out of our pockets by charging us more than normal price and delivering an absolutely god awful game (retribution), if we ever want retribution to be fixed then we need to turn to desperate measures, boycott behemoth until they finish retribution

We already have Grimlords, which, even though it is in Beta, shows some physical improvements (at least much more realistic), better textures, and made with more care. This other one looks more like a God of War than a Darksouls, and that could be good if you had the exaggerated combos of the GOW, but there won't be any here since it's VR. This means that it will be a want and no I can, with fake physics and always the same and repetitive hits/combos.
Still, welcome to games like this...
