First, let's talk about Beagles. These dogs are known for their high energy levels, curious nature, and love of food. Beagles are also social dogs that thrive on human interaction. However, because they are a hunting breed, they may have a strong prey drive and be easily distracted by scents.
Now, let's discuss why crate training is important for your Beagle. Crate training can provide your Beagle with a safe and secure space to rest and relax. It can also help with potty training, as dogs generally do not like to eliminate in their sleeping area. In addition, crate training can help prevent destructive behavior, such as chewing on furniture or other household items.
Here are some tips for crate training your Beagle:
    6. Choose the right size crate: It's important to choose a crate that is the right size for your Beagle. The crate should be big enough for your Beagle to stand up, turn around, and lie down comfortably. However, it should not be too big, as this can encourage your Beagle to use one end of the crate as a bathroom.
    5. Introduce the crate gradually: It's important to introduce the crate gradually, to prevent your Beagle from feeling anxious or scared. Start by leaving the crate door open and placing treats and toys inside. Encourage your Beagle to explore the crate on their own terms, and reward them for any positive interactions.
    4. Make the crate comfortable: To encourage your Beagle to view the crate as a positive space, make it comfortable and inviting. Add a soft blanket or bed, and provide toys and treats. This will help your Beagle feel relaxed and comfortable in the crate.
    3. Use positive reinforcement: Positive reinforcement is key when it comes to crate training. Reward your Beagle with treats and praise for going into the crate, and for spending time in the crate. This will help your Beagle associate the crate with positive experiences.
2.Avoid punishment: Never use the crate as a form of punishment for your Beagle. This can lead to negative associations with the crate, and make crate training more difficult.
Gradually increase crate time: Start with short periods of time in the crate, and gradually increase the amount of time your Beagle spends in the crate. This will help your Beagle get used to being in the crate, and prevent separation anxiety.
By following these tips, you can crate train your Beagle and provide them with a safe and comfortable space to rest and relax.

I currently have a 1 yr old beagle and same issue with yours. My trainer says just ignore the whining. Even if you look at your beagle it's a reward and attention for them and they will constantly cry. When they stop crying and lay down. Give them treats and praise them. Then ignore them again and repeat. It's a long process and don't get tired.
It will train your beagle to be quiet. Don't let your beagle train you to open the crate as they cry.
