The island are in different oceans and conditions, and whether isolated or not, wildlife, human populations and even geology often interact(ed) significantly with insular and/or continental neighbors.

Wait... the beginning of this said there are only 2 types of primates. What are the creatures at 46:00 ?? The side story with humans completely RUINS the entire aesthetic of this ( otherwise beautifully done ) documentary. Very poor choice to add that THIRD primate that doesn't fit or belong.
