Cheers from Veneta OR, USA! Longtime viewer, but recently been bingeing on your older stuff I may have missed. Even the swing of your axe has evolved through time! Your content never disappoints and I wish you continued success. So fun to learn your methods and grasp your zen patterns.
Excellent! I love the way you explain and show us all things in a way that is simple for us to understand. You're an very good teacher. Thank you for taking us along on your camp trips. Best to you.
It's not just the Bushcraft skills that impress. It is the film making technique. Very accomplished and a lot of thought going into it behind the scenes. Really love settling down watching these.
Andy, keep doing your simple videos, I could keep watching you sawing, cutting, chopping wood forever, and your fire building, hut making and cooking, I never get bored. I like your humility, you seem like a genuine guy and out of all the people who do these sort of videos, you definitely are the most watchable. So keep doing the simple stuff, I never get bored, dont worry about trying to vary your videos, what you are doing now is brilliant, but make more videos. Really love you Andy.
My bushcraft home is 'wherever I hang my hat!' This is a FINE ESSAY on the importance of mixing labor and rest in completing pleasurable outdoor activities. THANK YOU for a mind-expanding look at a different and nutritious BANNOCK recipe! The videography and the firelight and lantern light led me to speed this one to my 'Liked Videos.' I'll watch THIS ONE again!
Hi Andy nice quick moss shelter it is fun cooking on a rock it makes for less clean up. Thanks you for sharing your experience. Glad to be able to watch your videos again🙂
That video was delightful. Peaceful, hard work not a lot of jabbering. Just enough sawing and assembling shelter, cooking and enjoying your meal. I'm 71 now and can't get off the ground very easy. Otherwise I would love to camp out like I used to.😊
your videos get better and better i am going on my first solo camping trip on my birthday, this sat. i thank you for all you have taught me later on this winter i want to experience a camp with snowfall. i am liking the peace and quiet and enjoying nature at its finest, my shelter is very nice enough room for me and my dog, my best friend. thank you for teaching me i follow your lead i will be just fine. you are a fine young man
Hi Andy, good videos fella. Watched several over the past week. Andy I would like some basic advice please; can you recommend which online sites to visit to look at folding saws as well as knives? Lastly, if you can recommend a knife and why ... that would be useful? Cheers
Wow! Got to watch it on the TV instead of my laptop, just 52 minutes after it was posted, but can't comment through Roku. Finally got a chance now - Fun video to watch - Nice quick build shelter. Glad you are back to good health again. Stay safe.
Hello Andy greatings from Moose Jaw in Saskatchewan This is a nice video. You made it again nice and calm I like you way your Englisch way spezialy as a German living in Canada lol. Good idea to cook on a stone I have never done this. Your shelter is good to my respect I hope it will still be there when you return. Ok Andy I wish you luck and can wait for a new one. Take care and stay healthy with your family. Bye bye
Another great video and build my Friend. Love the new shelter, just the right size to be comfortable and warm and shed the weather. ATB to you, My Friend!
Awesome build and a lovely camp!! I love your videos, they put me at ease and the cooking always makes me hungry ahaha Thanks for the video Kent!! Much love from Brasil brother!! 👏🙏🏼🕉
British Survival at it's best, good video...... being ex military I can appreciate the effort made. Many thanks brother, keep the videos coming......Jack D.
Nice video, solid shelter. That's how i would do it, simple, strong effective. In cold envirements you could build it smaller, so your bodyheat will warm it up. If the centerpole gets overloaded, you could simply add another A-frame in the middle instead of just adding branches as a roof.
Nice to see you doing some bushcraft. Your little shelter is very aesthetically pleasing as is the rest of your campsite. Very nice spot. Glad you are back doing videos again, and thanks for sharing your adventure!
Well I have to say Andy that looked like a very good shelter and I would like to see a lot more of this on the channel. I really need to get back out into the woods all my stuff has just been Dartmoor stuff for a while now hope your good and can't wait to meet again😁👍
Shelter turned out great mate. People dont realise to work that goes into completing a build like that in 1 day. The amount you cook I wanna see you build a kitchen area next for food prep!
Thanks, Its good to know what you can achieve in a set time.. taking no shelter is a good motivator haha. Kitchen area would be good.. definitely a few plans for this camp
Bannock, Steak , on one rock and a brew in the horn mug. A+ brew in a horn mug, A++ bad ass evening any where in the world. Here in Texas I’d be proud!
Good fire starter material is shredded old bills. Shred then soak and squeeze into small flat block f molds and let them dry a few weeks before packing a few in. Both useful and Fulfilling knowing where they came from.
Hi Andy. So nice to see you back! You made me sign up to utube to leave a comment lol I love your videos. I started to scout out a place locally where I can start my own little hide away. Never done anything like this before. Your videos have given me the confidence to start. Thank you 😀
Great looking shelter. Looking forward to your building of the boundary walls. Seems more secure and also keep the warmth of your fire for when it snows. Maybe your thinking of making your fire pit wider for longer logs to cook on one end and keep the fire going to warm up the shelter at the same time. I know that took a lot of hard work. See you again on the next one.
Great video. I have been doing a lot of catch up watching videos. With school and work, I sort of got behind. I can't wait until I can build my own shelter. Take care.
Wow Andy, these videos are coming thick and fast now - you should take a break more often (ha ha). Nice to watch you build your shelter, especially as it looked like hard work! Food looked great as usual too. All round a great video. Thanks.
Great video, very enjoyable. For the record, I have not been having dreams of people following me the woods with machetes. Thank god. Waiting for an outdoor video showing roast beef and Yorkshire pudding, smothered with gravy. Look forward to next video
Great job on the shelter. I trust it will be more than adequate when it's complete. I will say that watching this video made me hungry. Keep up the good work mate.
You are awesome. I cannot wait to do things like this! thank you so much for sharing! You've got the rest of the kit down, why not dress like a full blown Saxon like our ancestors (haha, but it'd be cool) for one of the vids?! I am so glad i found your channel. This is how i want to live someday, buy some land in the woods and build a log cabin.
Loved this video, but then I love all your video's. Your easy going and it makes watching very enjoyable and of course to watch you cook. Really like the flat rock for cooking. Shelter is cool and looks efficient for your needs.
Hats off Andy, You don't mess about mate. I feel knackered just watching watching you graft. By the way, I had a dream the other night.
