Thanks for the video. I appreciate your cost-effective and tasty recipes. I use a handful of your recipes regularly and will definitely try this one. As a novice cook I would never think of using lime zest or crema mexicana, but little zingers like that make a huge difference in the final results (on a side note, crema mexicana should be MUCH more popular outside of the Mexican community. It's a delicious addition to many recipes).
Thank you for sharing and the introduction of the chickpea pasta. The ladies at my house said they would put the chickpea pasta on their shopping list. I would like to wish Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you and your family.
Glad to see you and Nelson with a new episode. It's like finding an extra cookie in my stocking! And thank you for normalizing cooking with health considerations in mind. I have heart issues in my family line so i really appreciate seeing cooking masters including their unique takes on recipes! Hope your holiday season is very cool 😎
I make something very similar. If I don't have chicken to add (my favorite), I use peanuts instead. And I dice up some fresh carrot for crunch too. Serrano are my go-to because I find jalapeno to vary a LOT in heat from one to another and serrano are pretty uniform.
You can find it at most grocery stores, including Walmart, Publix, and Kroger. It's called Banza, and it's labeled as chickpea pasta. I've also included a link in the description area for online purchase. Here's their link to their website: www.eatbanza.com/?srsltid=AfmBOopZ4AfSYVho5owfiQVk6-QDXoMSF_HLRTTL6HAwWPrqUBeTZaX2
Just be warned protein pasta or low carb pasta is 🤢 I would rather go without or use zoodles or spaghetti squash or riced cauli. I’ve even used cooked hardy greens like collards. It worked! For pasta salad u don’t have these choices tho lol
Chickpea pasta has a nutty, slightly sweet flavor and a denser texture than traditional pasta. Overall, it has a slightly more robust flavor. If you decide to give it a try, let us know!
It’s time to eat 👍👍👍👍

Rossana, I'm curious. I've never tried chick pea pasta. How does it compare to regular?

I like your videos, but chickpea pasta has 26 net :carbs in 2oz. As a type 2 diabetic, I try to limit my carb intake to 20 carbs per day.
Nice. Yet I encourage you to promote recipes with less carbs as Hispanic population is growing in Diabetes, even children.
