The Mystery Ranch RipRuck 24L surprised me -- this turns out to be a great school bag for middle school, high school or maybe even college. The two equally sized compartment with a great laptop access design works well for me.

@@PKShiu Yes...I must say I actually think it's a good all rounder...has tons of character! I use for it for school, teaching, EDC, hiking and as a mirrorless camera bag. I also love how it stands up alone, so many bags I have don't. They separated the mesh zip for a touch of added organization, like mouse on one side and coins or keys on the other etc. Great idea with the North St. One of my favorite bags and I have many. :))

Hi, when zipping the Rip Open compartment, is it normal to have a 'jam' somewhere at the mid section of the zipper?

Not for me but maybe just until it loosen up? There are also lubricant for zipper that you can find on amazon.
