I love the interior color, it helps in finding items at the bottom. Are you going to have a different capacity/sizes? I prefer your 19l since it's slimmer, but I'm sure a lot will like the new size too. I wish your product will trend and will have more options someday like a sling and crossbody bags or just backpacks with different liter capacity. Also I'm not sure if it would help, but maybe a rubber feet at the bottom would help it stand more stable and it won't slip too just like some luggage bags. And add a pen pockets too, not sure if it has already, then choose a fabric that won't stain with inks if that exist, cause I have seen a lot of bags with pen marks on their pen pockets.
Is the interior color pinkish?
Is the bag expandable?
Dimensions?
Matte black metal logo
+1 for matte black
I’ll second that
For sure Matte black logo
Logo placement on front is a great spot if u put it on the shoulder strap No one will notice it
Agreed!
Bruhhhh. I love that you added gussets, they make bags so much better to work out of.
So much!!
I agree! Clam shells are just not it and it makes the bottom of the bag and our backs dirty
@@flacoloops24 💪
Black logo on the front for sure. It's looking amazing.
thanks dude!!
yes please, black logo - so cool - all black everything would be amazing@@Nomads.Nation
This. It isn't even a comparison. The matte black was by far the best/most stylish/most sleek. Any other color choice would be an abomination in comparison. :)
@@TeslaCessnaMatt 🙌🏽
That is looking very, very nice. This perspective is from a IT tech road warrior. Fly out Mon, back on Thu, rinse and repeat. It has to be functional, professional, practical, and I have to be able to bring it to a meeting with client Sr. Dir., VP, and SVPs to give presentations. With that in mind... 1) I think the black logo is best - discrete - gets the point across. I personally would put it on the back. No ones going to look at me and say, dang, those are some sweet looking shoulder straps! I need me some of those shoulder straps !... They will be looking at the back of the pack. 2) building on point 1, really happy to see you are going with the codra. Again, clean, sleek and professional. Can't be all fuzzy selling the solution to the client. 3) nice job on implementing the water bottle cages. Only MEI, back in the day, got that right. 4) My favorite implementation of the convertable gusset is on the Travelpro® FlightCrew™ 5 Horizontal Rolling Overnighter®. Pic 2 shows it. Personally, I've only used the gusset feature a handful of times in the 10 years, and that bag is the absolute best piece of rolling luggage I've ever used - that thing is my mobile office, lunch box, and quick turn bag - it's just really big for the 'sleek urban professional' role. 6) 22 v 20L - strong preference for 22-24 so I can push in that extra sandwich, pair of gloves, extra notebook, etc. Anyhoo, really like what you are doing here. Here is the link to the TravelPro. www.mandhuniforms.com/products/3613-01?variant=31707814690865 Cheer, Rich
thanks Rich!
I like the look of this. Gussets are the right move I think and loving the black logo. What I would love to see on a travel bag would be a secure pocket on the back panel that I would fit a passport in and a few docs. Thats it. It would be secure/held against my back so less of a worry of someone pick pocketing me but easy to get to when I`m moving through airports etc. Just slip the bag off, get my docs, then stash it away and I`ll move on.
Excellent idea!
Totally agree with this suggestion!
I agree!
love it!
Could you just add an internal sleeve to the removable water bottle pouch? Might need to make the pouch a little bigger but the zippered pocket is already there. @@Nomads.Nation
Great choice with the nylon, so happy with that (as a many-pet household). I love the copper logo, it brings together that new custom lining so nicely.
Please keep the 22L - we love space that can power up as a carry-on and be more than just a tech bag!
great feedback, cheers!
IMHO 25L
It's the largest I'd go for daily. If I use less at least I have space for more. 25L is like that sweet spot for "personal item" on a plane.
Really love seeing your work Aaron... My entire team here at BagMe really enjoy working with you and we are seriously stoked about finlaising this project with you over the coming weeks... I'm glad you chose the 330D but Lien likes the canvas :) And that laptop sleeve is AWESOME!!!
It's been a pleasure working with you and the Bagme team Luke!
Quick question: does BagMe work with people who aren't looking at mass-production, i.e. one-off bags/samples? Working with your team of experts on my own bag ideas would be an incredible experience, but I don't have much interest in the commercial side (I'll leave that up to legends like Aaron!)
@@MrJed_swe are setup to do development with the goal of mass production in mind... It can easily cost 10-20K to develop a bag like Aaron's depending on whether you had a design ready and how many rounds of samples were needed to finish the task. To do a one-off custom product would be cheaper working with a local bag maker near you...
@@BagMe. Understood, thanks for the reply! I've worked with independent makers in the past and really enjoyed the process, so will continue to do so :)
With every update is getting better and better. Can’t wait to see the final results.
thanks my man!
As someone who doesn't use my bags for ultralight travel and isn't stuffing clothes in there, I love the gussets. The full clam shell is great for packing but (at least I think) can be a little unwieldy sometimes in everyday use. Also solid choice on the nylon! The mixed materials with the waxed canvas really stood out to me with some parts being shiny and some parts being matte, but the nylon looks sleek as hell. And I'm throwing my vote in for the matte black logo on the front.
appreciated!
Logo needs to be as subtle as possible. Aaron you know this lol. I say matte black on the strap only. The silver on the strap would work as well. The cleaner the front, the more badass it would be. Congrats on the progress and the overall backpack. I’m very impressed and I can’t wait to support your kickstarter and get my hands on one of these. Keep up the good work man.
thanks my dude!
This has been an amazing journey and for those of us that love bags, this is incredible. Well done!
I'm so glad to hear! It's been an amazing journey and bringing the community along for the ride has been so much freaking fun!!
Matte black logo is the way to go!!
Also talking about gussets, I have a samsonite spectrolite 2.0 bagpack and it also has gussets and it really works very well. Infact, speaking of clamshell opening, the laptop compartment of that bagpack also is a clamshell opening but it has gussets with a click button and velcro so that we can use it as clamshell when needed and gusset style when needed. I love that versatility. Hope this helps you making the decision!! All the best
appreciate that feedback mate!
Looks amazing! I preferred the waxed canvas because it looks more high quality and 40g extra is not significant for the looks. But after you mentioned the dust magnet I totally agree with your choice! On the logo point, if I may, please consider the way the metal button is attached. Since it’s sticking out and connected to a soft fabric there are issues for long term such as: after it will be exposed to water there is possibility for corrosion or rust that will weaken the fabric. Another point is when it gets tangled through use with loops or hook shaped straps that can potentially rip it out. Hope this helps. Good luck buddy!
great feedback mate, really appreciate it!
Suggestion!! Make the Gussets be removable via magnet or buckle, to give the user the option to open it like a clam shell if they want.
That would make it a bit weak.
I agree! I'm worried that if you put a mouse and a laptop charger (or anything heavier for that matter) behind the front lid it'll topple over.
while having the ability to go clamshell would be nice, it's definetaly not meant to be for the bag as it destroys the solid bottom base by folding it over. The gussets were that last piece of the puzzle that we needed to help us double down on one of the bags most important features (self standing)
I love the idea of the gussets….is there a way to make them shorter but wider? Maybe it will give it more of the clamshell look, but give more accessibility to the people looking for that clamshell look? I think there is a way to get the best of both worlds. 😊
Could have zippers running vertically down the center of each gusset so when they are fully down, can open clam-shell, and zipped up gives the strength to allow the bag to stand by itself.
Well done, it's always great to see someone create something from start to finish.
appreciated!
So excited for you! I appreciate the work and risk that goes into this type of project. I like the logo on the front and love the nylon as well.
Thanks so much!
W Backpack bro 22 liters is perfect and I think matte black metal logo in the front would look fire good durable pack and a genius water bottle holder good luck in your business
appreciated mate!
We love the adventure on how you and the team are showing and sharing us the Fyro backpack! 🎒👌🇻🇳
its been so fun to being everyone along - the support means the world to us ❤️
I second this. It's been a pleasure and a learning experience to watch you build your dream backpack. Thanks for including us!
Thank you for documenting the entire process! It’s been really fascinating to me to learn about how building a bag works.
thank you for following ❤️
Wasn’t sure about the gussets until you showed them! I love how it allows you to get into the bag while it’s standing and fits perfectly into your personal assistant vibe of the bag.
Hell yea!
Thanks for focusing on keeping the weight down. Looking forward to additional updates and the Kickstarter
Weight was crucial for this bag - so stoked that it’s less than 3lbs
Love the material choice, hatch looks great. Love the changes to the shoulder straps. The logo is so awesome, but imo the copper makes it stand out like crazy. I get how others would like the matt colour, but the logo definitely pops with the copper.
it pops for sure!
Great job Aaron and the team! So nice to see what goes into making a pro backpack 😊
Cheers dude!
Made the right fabric choice! Looks amazing. So excited!
Cheers!
Please keep it at 22L! Also I liked the copper logo! It works well with the interior and helps it stand out compared to most bags without being obnoxious.
great feedback, thanks dude!
1) Matte Black logo all the way. I love that. I also personally prefer it on the back. I think that would sleek and smooth as hell!
2) I'm all for a smaller size bag as I have a 30 liter travel bag, so the 19 liters was really appealing to me as an EDC/one day out backpack use. So for my use case, the smaller better, but it seems like general consensus is more space is necessary for most people which I can appreciate. However, that 21/22 liters would allow for me to use just this for a quick one night travel for work which I occasionally do. Or a quick with with my wife sans children.
3) When you revealed the gusset opening, that got sent me the moon and back. Such a killer idea! The functionality of it along with being self standing is undefeated. That's my favorite feature of the bag!
4) Take my money!
1) its the clear winner
2) Im with you, but gotta give the people what they want!
3) thanks dude!
4) launching soon ;)
Your passion is why I’m here. I love love the gusset, way better than clamshell. So glad you got rid of the waxed canvas, hate dirt and hair magnet. I am waiting to by my first EDC for yours.
Appreciate this!!
Black logo on the front! Love the interior lining and the gussets for self stand is a huge win. Bag looks super dope!
Thank you!
The size increase is a MASSIVE plus for me. I prefer the matte black logo personally. Probably on the shell rather than the strap because I could see it having some random scraping getting the back on and off.
great feedback - much appreciated dude!
The bag is sick! I need to see both larger and smaller options though. 18-20L is ideal for me. Larger to use as carry on, 30-40L.
Am I the only one seeing a baboon on the front of the backpack? I think you should call it the baboon, it’s kinda badass actually! 😊 Great progress!
I don't completely get the reference, but I love baboons so I'm all about it lol
I can't unseen the baboon face now lol
Baboon butt?
The bag is looking awesome Aaron, truly!
The Matte Black Metal logo is sick. Super slick and clean
Agreed!!
This is so cool to see this process. I am intrigued. Thanks for sharing and I look forward to seeing the absolute final product. The black logo on the front looks sleek.
thanks dude! and noted on the black logo - it's def the favorite right now
I know the front flap is supposed to be iconic to the bag, but it does stick out like a sore thumb.
I hope you could find ways to blend it in with the rest of the bag a bit more seamlessly.
The rest of the bag looks very solid, I'm seriously considering supporting on your KickStarter
I agree. It looks like a really wide eye patch. What’s the original thought process for designing that into the bag? I would have preferred a different method to enclose the outside pocket. Sorry for the criticism.
Appreciated! The lid was a very bold design choice that won’t be for everyone. Hopefully it grows on you 💪🏻
I think it'll grow on you. It's suppose to stand out and give it its brand characteristics like iPhone with the square bezzle it's nothing wrong with it and least it's serves a purpose
@@TheJmoneyp ❤️
I like a lot about it, but not the flap.. really integrate it better.
I love the updates on the latest version. I'm excited to pick one up when it's released! The subtle changes make it ideal for my everyday work bag/travel backpack.
Thanks dude!!
These videos have bee so cool. I mean, not only am I excited for this bag, but it's been so interesting being able to get this glimpse into the production process, the design process, the world of these professionals.
I'm so happy that you are enjoying the process - I've been learning to much and having a great time bringing the whole community along for the ride
It's looking great! Don't change a thing!! You guys have nailed it. Don't shrink it a single liter. Just find where you want the logo.
yes ma'am! ❤️
Looks great man!! Keep up the good work. The copper logo is a great choice, it gives the bag character and uniqueness...
matte black is the crowd favorite so far but I do reallyyyy like the copper
I like the silver logo on the back pack strap. They also for the 22 L. I love a bag that I can use as every day carry and one that travels well and served as a “carry-on“… Thanks for keeping us up to snuff on this this is awesome. We’re traveling to Netherlands, Belgium and Switzerland for Christmas next year and I would love to have this on my back. Good luck thanks for keeping us up-to-date and I look forward to seeing the real thing and holding it.
thanks so much for following and supporting!
The fyro is a fantastic result. Congratulations to all team members. The choice for Cordura is from my perspective the right one. Dust and hair magnets will end in the broom closet. I prefer the metal black logo and so I‘m looking forward to place my first purchase…! Thanks for sharing and again: Great Team!!!
appreciated!!
Add a way to run a cable, or add one of those external ports. - USBC.
Have good Size grommets ( #2?) between each internal pocket, to be able to run you powerbank from wherever you want.
Needs Velvet lined Sunglass Pocket.
Add some way to run the backpack through the Luggage Handle.
Back rest needs airflow.
TSA friendly “Fully opening” design is A1🤌🏻.
Adding some type of structured bottom is awesome and will also help with self standing.
Wenger 16” Synergy Backpack has everything except the TSA. and
It’s a high quality backpack and you can tell that when feeling it and handling it.
It’s my favorite backpack I’ve came across so far.
Definitely worth it to take a look at some of the design choices they have made if you get a chance.
I really like the same Silver/Copper logo you do.
Hope this comment helps and look forward to your awesome backpack & future endeavors
appreciate the epic feedback!
I love the nylon with the silver logo on the front and only having "fyro" on the hatch (like the previous version.). Adding the gussets inside is genius. Can't wait for the bag to go live.
Appreciate your feedback!
I really love the front zipper access hatch and the water bottle hybrid. Really excited for you Az, KS will hit the funding goal instantly.
thanks mate! really hoping you are right!!
Looks good! I’m ready for a full run-through when you’re ready. I love the blood orange interiors of Alpaka bags, so the brighter the better in my opinion. I like the logo on the flap idea. Keeps it out of the way and should look clean. Well done, I’m excited to see version 1!
Thanks mate!
Congratulations Aaron! I’m so hyped you actually did it 🔥
Thank you!!
Congrats, looks like all the hardwork paid off, really like the look and your design choices!
Thanks a ton!
I’m pumped as well. I make black logo on the strap. Congratulations!
You did it!
did it yes, but the work has only just begun - still gotta actually launch 🚀
Late comment, maybe pointless but... love the gusset. Terrific solution to the self stand/but I need to get to the bottom of this bag conundrum. My current bag neither stands, nor opens all the way down (clamshell or otherwise), and it makes me somewhat bonkers. Lining is great, the hatch is growing on me, and I am totally going for this baby as it has 99.5% of the things I care about. Which is awesome. Exterior fabric- thumbs up. Somewhat over black bags as they are ubiquitous... but on the other hand, that is because they are so useful especially in a business environment. Great work, Aaron. Has been super interesting watching this process.
thanks so much for your feedback and support!
Aaron, you've taken the production of the bag and your channel to a new level. You are a juggernaut! Btw, black matte for the logo.
Thanks for the kind words! +1 for matte black!
Thanks for the update. There's a lot to like on the bag. I like the capacity increase, and the water bottle holder seems like a great feature. Not sure if I have a strong feeling about the logo other than saying something in a matte finish and only one of them regardless of the color/location. The interior lining is a nice enhancement aesthetically at least (I'd need to use it to know about functionality). 100% agree on the material and the ability to withstand dirt and be lighter. Looks like a really functional, professional looking bag, which is what I would be looking for in this. Best of luck keeping the project moving; completely get that it's a huge undertaking bringing this to market.
Thanks Chris! And you nailed it - this is designed to be the ultimate work bag, so I’m glad you are picking up what we are throwing down
super excited for the release! the bag is looking really dope
Really appreciate that!
Love your choices, Aaron! Can’t wait to get my hands on one soon. Best wishes for the final push 😊
thanks so much!
Looks great! Thanks for the update!
thanks for the comment!
While I'm very excited for the bag, a big part of this is the journey you're showing people. So I am really glad you showed us the decision you had to make between material choices. Let's go Kickstarter 🎉
It’s been my favorite part of the process as well - so cool to bring everyone along my journey as I learn
I work for So iLL in St Louis.. we design and manufacture rock climbing shoes, do collabs, etc.. I see first hand the back and forth, years of sampling, the nuance. Design of high quality product is such a fascinating space. I love this project and you sharing it.
thanks for that Michael! It's been a crazy ride learning how to do all this AND documenting it, but it's been so much fun and I can't wait to continue to do it for our next products. Thanks for following!
It's been amazing to watch your journey, and to see the bag coming together! Here are my thoughts:
1) Logo: I actually really, really love the copper logo. However, from the perspective of having a more cohesive look, my vote goes to the metal-copperish logo. I think it has the best of both worlds: discrete enough to not stick out like a sore thumb, but also has that luxurious quality. The black one is a bit too plain and boring, and doesn't show the quality of the bag. I like the logo at the back, not shoulder strap. If it's on the shoulder strap, it looks like it's going to get caught on clothing, or even a thumb when it brushes over it. It also interrupts the look of the strap since there's a lot going on there already. Having the logo at the back brings the bag together better.
2) Fabric: So happy you chose the Kodra! It looks sleeker, higher quality, and more professional. I also appreciate any decrease in weight. Also happy to not need to dust the bag often. I know someone with a black canvas bag, and it looks OLD even after a day because of dust.
3) Bottle holder: The water bottle holder idea is fantastic. I like how it can be changed when the new elastic goes out. Still wishing for the dual bottle holders but this is not bad.
4) Opening: I love the gusset idea!! I always thought it's a bit silly to want a clamshell opening for a smaller bag, especially one that's used for EDC and not a OneBagTravel purpose. Gusset is the best of both worlds. Also REALLY appreciate how the bag can stand on its own. It's been such a pet peeve for all my backpacks. I look forward to this change.
5) Volume: I absolutely appreciate the 22L! It's the perfect size for my carry. Yes, there are days when I carry a lot less, but I really appreciate having the space for days when I need to carry more things. Please keep this.
6) Lining: The orange honeycomb lining looks 🔥🔥🔥! It makes the bag looks so much sexier, and easier to find things inside but doesn't hurt your eyes. It's different from any other lining out on the market. Also appreciate the lowering of the laptop lining to show the amazing black lining with the logo. It looks perfect.
Now I'm curious how much the bag is going to cost. I see how much labour you and your team has put in, so I'm expecting it to be of a higher cost. At the same time, I'm really hoping it'll be at an affordable price so that I can get one or even a second one as a gift!
Thanks so much for following and for your feedback! Price is still being determined but you’ll def want to support our Kickstarter to get the best $ possible. Also FYI, you can have two water bottle holders with our bag :)
@@Nomads.Nation Wow so the water bottle holders can attach to both sides?! That's so cool. I'll definitely keep an eye out for your Kickstarter campaign!!
@@kerk6428correct! 😊
Love, love, love the changes you made! I'm in total agreement with the Kodra fabric choice as well. As a pet owner, I despise a bag being a hair and dust magnet. Oh, and I like the matte black logo on the strap.
pets + waxed canvas = 😬
Matte black logo, not even close. Fits the rest of the slick & stylish feel of the bag. More minimal branding is the best kind of branding. 👌🏻
Appreciated!
This video is awesome. I love seeing the process. Very cool and a realistic view of what it takes to make products like this.
Appreciate that! My number one goal is to show the REAL process of making a highly technical bag, so I’m glad you found it interesting
Oh yes, one more comment for now-glad, really glad, that you expanded the volume!
me too!
Love all the updates.
-the size of 22L is a HUGE upgrade. This is my official vote for making it 24-26L, the most versatile of all sizes in my opinion.
-self standing with the gussets is genius. Total clamshell openings are overrated. Very rarely, if ever, do I need to fully open my backpack in clamshell mode. Gussets give you plenty of access to the bottom of the bag.
-that new interior color/honeycomb pattern is 🔥🔥🔥
For the logo: I’m all about the matte black.
appreciate that feedback! matte black is the clear front runner from the community at this point
+1 on upping it to 24-26L. (But at the very least, please don't shrink the capacity any!!)
It looks great. I like the dark branding and the nylon fabric.
Thank you! 😊
Thumbs up all around this iteration looks infuego. Love the extra capacity, revised shoulder straps, and everthing else. plus plus all around
thanks thanks all around!
AWESOME! I can't wait....I can't believe it's been 2 years, I have been following this right from the get go! Love the new samples and here are my thoughts: Logo - matt black is sexier and kinda a subtle hey how are ya. I'm not opposed to the silver but if I had to pick one it would black. Great job on the H2O holder, love the tab. The move to the gussets was a great idea. When I travel for work, this bag is my "office" and I appreciate the standing function just as much as I appreciate the new and improve grab handle. I also prefer the extra litres. That extra space for is important but because of the bags structure it still looks sleek. I like to Codra material and the way it all looks as one mono toned bag. The canvas is cool but I wasn't a fan of the two toned colours. The weight is also super important. Although I one bag travel, if I'm work travelling I will have this bag as my personal item bag and it needs to be as light as possible with all the functions. You and your team did a great job on the weight. I am so excited for the launch (I have all my pennies ready!) and sounds like in time for around my birthday. I think the way that you and your team approached this was spectacular and gave me a whole different view point and appreciation for a good quality bag. I can't wait for the launch, support Fyro and see what other new tricks you and your team have up your sleeve. I also can't wait to hear your sister's take on it. Great Job!!!
as always thank you for the support Dawn!!
Huge news, huge update, huge accomplishment. Epic job man 🎉
much appreciated dude, been a long time coming!
Awesome looking bag Aaron it has been fascinating to watch the development process. Even my wife looks forward to the updates (this has helped with getting the ok to purchase). All your choices so far have been on point while I like the copper branding I'm sure whatever you choose will look great. Look forward to finally purchasing - I have held off getting a new bag for too long now 🙂
really appreciate that support mate! It's been a crazy journey but couldnt have done it without this amazing community getting my back the whole time
Great bag, congrats on almost finished. Also love the choice of the material, imo looks better. As for the logo black or copper one on the front of the bag looks great to me. Can't wait for the kickstarter launch!
thanks dude!!!
I love how transparent you are about this whole process! The bag looks great. One note: I'm not inherently against a gusset system instead of clam shell, but I dispute the premise that clam shell won't self stand. I have several bags by Goruck, Recycled Firefighter, and Aer (Lunar Pack) that all self stand no problem with clam shell functionality. Good call on the Kodra over the waxed canvas, and I prefer the pewter logo over the copper. On the strap is fine.
Those bags you mentioned are more "panel loaders" imo (large bucket + small panel), whereas the Fyro bag seems to have a more central zipper. That might make it more difficult to achieve both things.
Agreed that the bag can totally self stand without gussets. The problem is that a clamshell opening + padded bottom = denting problems that could weaken the bottom materials over time. By adding the gussets we are limiting the opening and therefore ensuring the bottom stays the way it’s suposwd to be - strong and well padded with less pinching
Congrats, Aaron and NN! Looks great! Good call on the gusseted main compartment. One of my bags is a Tumi (definitely a luxury bag that I spent too much on) and it uses gussets. I can confirm that it stands really well and I have absolutely no complaints about the access.
Go for the silver logo, and this will be controversial (probably) but I would put that sucker dead center on the lid. Like a little button. It's subtle enough to not be overwhelming but still add a touch of flair. It'll look almost functional to someone looking at the bag on the street, but we'll know it's actually decorative.
great call on the Tumi comp, and thanks for the logo feedback!
I LOVE this so much!! Can't wait to get one!
Thanks mate!
I agree on the Kodra for now… I love the puckering issue… it’s organic. Congratulations… also, thank you so much! I learned so much during this process… I appreciate your commitment and your genuine delight… I’ll be the first on kickstarter…one more thing: matte black metal logo on strap… leave the front clean to peak curiosity…
Very organic - I like it too
🎉Congratulations Aaron and the entire team who worked on this!🎉
the backpack looks beautiful,
😍 I'm going to buy the backpack right away when its available 😀
Thank you so much for the support!
Some tough decisions, but I think you made the right call on all of them. Can't wait for the launch!
Cheers!
So proud of you man! Can't wait to get mine!
I like the branding on the shoulder strap in the black or silver. All of it looks good though.
The waxed canvas looks FIRE. But, like you said, I don't want a dust magnet. I also appreciate you sharing the different versions.
Appreciate you giving your feedback! The whole process is super fun and it’s to cool to bring everyone along for the ride
Glad you added volume to the hatch. FYI if I had to choose between self standing and clamshell...... I'm taking the clam...... But I'm also not mad at it
if this were a larger dedicated travel bag - clamshell ALL day. But for EDC/work/tech, self-standing was the priority and the gussets help with that so much. Can't have both so you gotta double down on one 💪
@@Nomads.Nationself-standing is a must for me in a travel bag. Not being able to stand up on its own was one of the reasons I *hated* using the Osprey Farpoint 40 that is beloved of so many backpackers.
Really liking where this is going) Gussets was absolutely right thing to do - it's one of the best main compartment openings out there, for sure... however insignificantly specific it may be for some)
appreciate that! At the end of the day the self-standing was a prioirty, so the gussets allowed us to double-down on that
This looks awesome! Really enjoying the journey with you.
Thanks for joining!
Loves me some wax canvas. But I get it and I have 4 cats. You made the right choice.
It was a super hard choice but hopefully the right one haha
Looks great, and think you made the right choice for the fabric. For the logo, my vote is the silver or black on the front - keep the shoulder straps clean. Looking forward to the launch.
cheers!
Matte black logo, and the new sample is looking 👌🏽
cheers!
Silver logo on the front. Nice bit of contrast, and silver will wear much, much better than a darker choice. Looks sick, great job!!
Thank you!!
When I saw the gussets is added, I know this will be an awesome backpack ❤ can't wait to get one
appreciate your feedback!
What a gorgeous pack!! I love all the changes, and I'm SO GLAD you picked the Kodra nylon! I friggin' HATE hair and dirt magnets!!
As for the logo...matte black or brushed silver/pewter color is best.
Thanks so much!
Backpacks brought me here but this is amazing content! My sister was a fasion designer and at one point I wanted to follow her and br a toy designer. I went a different direction but got a glimpse of that world in ways that make this feel familiar. I am happy with where I landed but this world is absolutely fascinating to me and looks like a fun life adventure to have. Also, bravo for the brilliant carrer path. The Leverage is a thing to behold
Thanks so much for the support!
Cheering you on man!
thanks mate!!
Awesome! It’s been fun to follow the journey. Hello from Japan! Chester
thanks for following! 🇯🇵
I love your choice of fabric. All the parts seem to melt into each other whereas the waxed canvas the lid and the base stand out too much. I like the brand sitting on the strap as then it easily recognisable as a brand. However the brand on the bottom side looks magnificent. The silver copper logo is the bomb. Can’t wait for you going forward. Well done, thank you for the ride
Thanks for joining!
Can’t wait! Found your channel 2 weeks ago looking for a new everyday bag because mine has stated to tear and a buckle broke. Watched a few review to try to decide and found Fyro. this is bag looks just about perfect for me. Hurry and take my money!
Thanks for joining our journey!!
really love the 3L bump and the shoulder pin logo ✨
Thank you!
Love the extra room for the front!
HUGE game changer for the bag, makes it so much better
First of all, I'm excited for you and so happy you're making your dreams come to life, it's so inspiring and encouraging to never give up when it comes to building our own reality. So for that, thank you, man. Now, my opinions on the backpack and its versions. The one you chose looks great, sleek and modern and it makes perfect sense with all what you were going for in the first place. I'm not gonna lie, the waxed canvas version looks incredible too BUT, my personal opinion is that waxed canvas bags look better when they're almost completely made of that material, at least the exterior and perhaps having a more heritage look. So I feel that at some point it would be amazing to put out a limited edition of the Fyro waxed canvas but with even more waxed canvas, the lid, the bottom, the lining, EVERYTHING! Even the zippers! hahaha ok, perhaps not that much but yeah, a slight redesign to make it look less modern and more, "waxed canvasy". I keep telling you to review a Trakke bag, man. DO IT and understand my feelings about this. But anyhow, this is a sick looking bag and I feel grateful to somehow be part of the process and eventually rock one of your bags on my daily adventures, which I'm sure will eventually happen. How can I, an absolute bag freak, wouldn't own a thing he's been watching grow and crawl and walk and now hopefully run and then fly into my hands? I wish you the best of lucks in the final process and all your future projects. Peace.
thanks for the support mate - waxed canvas zippers coming soon! 😂
Kudos to you! Great job!
Appreciated Klint!! Stoked to see how your CT collab turns out 💪🏻
Amazing Aaron, the new samples look so good. Absolutely love the water bottle holder, and agree with your decision to go with gussets vs clamshell. The self standing looks great and stable. I personally like the silver-ish metal logo on the front panel. Think you hit a homerun on the Fyro bag, can't wait to see you launch it!
Thanks so much!
Hi Aaron, Fyro is fire! I love the new sample. If I had a choice, I would like the logo on the strap in silver. Thank you for allowing us on your journey. I need a lighter backpack to carry to work. I'm ready to buy!
thanks so much! going live soon!!!
Gussets are AWESOME. My use is a work commute and I don’t really need a clamshell opening. The matte black branding is the only answer. Looks so sick. Getting excited man!
Thanks dude! And yes, this bag is designed to be the ultimate work bag, so every decision has to compliment that
Aaron, Ditch the lid, it’s the only thing overwhelming the sleek esthetics. Gussets are great! Emboss the logo such as in the laptop sleeve. Silver logo would be better if it’s a “no” for the embossed. I thought at first it was a travel pack, that’s what drew me in but this is great. Nice job.
thanks dude! But the lid ain't going nowhere - it's the bag's calling card! I understand it's a bold aesthetic, but if you look at the 1000+ comments below you'll see that so many people are jazzed up about it. Also, what's the point of making a bag like everyone else's? Plus it offers pretty cool functionality (like this - ua-cam.com/video/GtfNSTG1g74/v-deo.htmlsi=YPr7JPTze89aJ2RI)
Silver logo on the front! I think the Kodra looks better than the canvas. I'm excited for the launch!
great feedback, cheers!
Mat black logo on the front is really classy!
And cordura is my choice too
So classy, and definitely the crowd favorite so far
Dude.....what an outstanding product! You have knocked its out of the park with this . In no particular order: I love the Kodra fabric, and much prefer it to waxed canvas. The hatch is now brilliantly designed - the lid has the right amount of rigidity and the volume and organisation inside are just perfect. I really like the volume - 22L is perfect, especially if it expands to 25L, which for me is the sweet-spot for overnight/short trip travel. I also think the gussets on the main compartment are inspired - self standing is really valuable and you have nailed it! I like the matt black logo, but there's obviously a spectrum of opinion here - all of them look great. I am definitely going to invest in your Kickstarter funding round, and will buy it as soon as it's available. Many congratulations
thanks so much! right now it's 22L that can expand to 26L
Congratulations! Nailed the decision making with the bag, can tell you know your stuff
It’s been a learning process that I couldn’t have done without our amazing team!
