    How does this compare to the Alpha One Niner Evade? Which do you prefer?

    Somehow until yesterday, I had never heard of mystery ranch company. Their logo is cool as shit, their packs are innovative and not outrageous like vertex.
    Solid review Brother

    Can you please do a video on the Rip Ruck 32?

  • @anvitsharma369

    Hey! Love the video. Have a question if you could help, would mean a lot. Is the big outer pocket(one with magnetic closure) safe for keeping things like headphones? My only doubt is if they will fall outside quickly and if the magnetic lock mechanism is hard enough to open, for a thief standing behind in a metro? Thanks.

      Hi ✋🏼, I have this pack and have used it for about 6 months. Overloaded 🍿the external compartment and have not experienced any of my things leaking out 🍺 from it. My Rip Ruck 24 has tipped over 🧱 and fallen off from 3 foot high tables head (or top) first🙃, landing on concrete floors😵. Not once but more times I care to count🤦🏻. I’m happy to report, my things remained inside the bag (oh and my laptop 💻and tablet 📲also survived unscathed), magnetic closure remained securely fastened 🧰🔐on all occasions. So it’s safe to put your headphones, electronics in that section. The magnet🧲 on the flap are quite strong plus the zippers on either side help secure the flap from opening easily. Also, you’ll need a bit of pull-strength💪🏼 to open either the large or smaller magnetic tops. Not a lot but enough to feel if someone 😠is trying to rip open your pack. Unless you are distracted or asleep. Over all it’s a good everyday carry bag for me. Hope that helps.🤓

      Yes it is fine, I can carry my Bose QC 45 in the case, with plenty of other room available in the pocket...they are double sealed with a zipper too.

    Does a medium peak design packing cube fit in either of the main compartments?

    two mistakes you made in the review. 1. The bungee strap over the buckles are not "to give access to the buckle" those are so you can route a hydration tube. This makes the tube secure to your pack. 2. The smaller pockets are designed to grab the buckle tab and rip open. Not grab the zipper pull, pull open, and then undo the buckle. The combined zipper pull is so that you can CLOSE the zipper in one motion. Just my opinion, but these two oversights significantly help with usability of the pack and should be corrected. Good video otherwise. Thanks!

      Just curious how would configure the backpack to carry hydration bag. I don’t see any internal hooks to hold up the water bag.

    • @nellatrab
      @nellatrab Рік тому +1

      @@Belgarathe I just slide it in the laptop pocket and or the tablet pouch depending on the size bladder...just run the hose out of the side near strap. Works fine!

      @starfoggs Рік тому

      @@nellatrab Not questioning your answer, as you seem to be right. But I am questioning the whole bladder thing itself. This doesn’t seem to be of a backpack you wear outdoors and therefore nobody will use it with a hydration bladder. To me it’s more of a commuter bag. Office, school and stuff. Maybe some light hiking or short trips without long walking distances.

    This bag is just one of a series of three new Rip Ruck models with fairly different features and layouts. This is the 24 liter model. There is also a 15 liter and a 32 liter.

      I can't guarantee cuz I don't (yet) own the bag, however, given that the 16" is barely larger than the 15" and he's using a sleeve and still seems to have enough room that it slides in and out, it SHOULD fit the 16"

      @@PackHacker2 Primarily it's the external side zip pocket on the 15 that's changed out for the two awkward zip pockets on the 24. The side zip pocket serves better for administrative items you'd want to all keep together. I have no clue what I'd use the small rip pockets for. Also- no water bottle pocket on the 24? Why would they do that when it's present on the smaller pack. Then we get to the inside of the pack. The 15 is pure genius with the large velcro panel to mount accessories, inner side zip pockets, better mesh organization and even slips to add another slim bottle, tripod or what have you. If the 24 was the the 15 but sized up It would be awesome!
