Perfect video of showing exactly how to put up alone other videos I’ve come across used drywall lifts just spending unnecessary money but thank you for this video 😊
right? I was going to buy a glue gun and a lift and a T square, but now I am going to do it this way for a tuffshed 10x12 building. I hope he has one on the ceiling that is the only thing is I have to lift it up by myself, I am female, but strong LOL appreciate the money I will save by looking at one LAST video before deciding to go buy the 3 items listed above.
@@meshellmybell4226 good for you, I am also female and appreciate seeing a video that doesn't involve a lift or other stuff I don't want to buy. Putting the screws in first makes a lot of sense
@@meshellmybell4226 I put a screw in the wall 3/4 down from the ceiling and rest the board on it whil I screw the other side. If you find it’s still too heavy cut the boards in half.
I have never seen a hanger set his t square against the wall with the t at the top. The get tweaked out of square surprisingly easy. I also have never seen a hanger mark the stud out with a pencil, but it is probably a good idea. Most hangers just put a few nails along the top of the board. Hold the board to the ceiling and nail to hold the board into place, then screw off the sheet. I was never as accurate as I wanted to be and had a lot of misses. Oh well
Great video! I like the idea of starting the screws in the drywall. Why did you place the drywall the top of the wall? Is that easier than starting at the bottom? Did you use a drywall screw setter on your impact? Thanks for posting your video sir
Always start at the top and leave a space at the bottom! Moisture can wick up into the Sheetrock and create issues! No dimples I just stop when it’s good! Thanks for watching!
Woulda been a lot faster when you were starting your screws if you woulda just butted the piece into the wall and used the studs in the wall as your layout for starting your screws rather than laying it out with a tape
Always start at the top. We want a nice tight fit at the top and it hold the ceiling. We also need to keep it off of the floor to avoid wicking up moisture

Glad it was helpful!
That’s a damn good idea! Wow. Even having 2 people, this way with putting in screws first is definitely a time saver
My ceilings are 10'6". Minus 4 ' I'm looking at 6' 6'" at the bottom of the sheetrock. I got this!!!! ;-)
Very clever.
Cheers mate - I don't even need to lift mine. This tip will come in very handy.
This is the best information Ive ever gotten on UA-cam, I totally appreciate this!!!

This solves the walls. Now I need one for the ceiling
Just saved me millions lol😂
Wish I saw your video yesterday… but mine was higher and it was a whole drywall.
Dam you made that look easy!
Brilliant thank you for sharing!
Thank you!! You ROCK!!
You're welcome!
Thanks for the info!!
Ah man, I'd tear into this but he looks like he could kick my ass lol
Just a tip for beginners, The sheet must be measured from the corner to the center of the last stud. 3/4 inch is the center.
Wow great tip
what a smart dude!
You’re a god, thanks for the tip!
thanks you sir
Smart af

It’s just a t square I’m not using it to build the space shuttle.
Yeah man, if I'm on UA-cam typing in "how do do dry wall by myself", I'm also not looking for the space shuttle specialist.
It helps when you have your feet steady on the ground.
Bad Ass Brother, thanks
Your welcome!

@@handymadman I like to use the “gas pedal” foot tool to leave that space at the bottom. Has always work great for me.
it is harder when you are on a 15 ft ladder. what do you do when the ceilings are really high?
set up scaffolds!
Hire Mexicans

the tape measure is alot lighter.
@@handymadman yes work smarter not harder💯😂
why not do the bottom piece first so you can just prop the top piece up unto it?

Try that with12 foot fire code drywal
It’s even better then!
No glue?
No glue is necessary for this application.
I think glue is for nails?
Lemme send 5 dollars to yo cash app
