World Adventure and Late Night were the base of my two favourite saves. With late night, I had a five generations family of vampires started out as a band. I still remember that we could build mansions with elevators, which was what this family absolutely needed. It was so fun just playing gigs as siblings and have their spouses hate their partner's twin. The other family was just husband and wife travelling to all three of these countries. The kung fu master husband and kleptomaniac wife collected a mansion full of stolen exotic goods and treasures. It was so much fun and had me feeling like my dreams came true through the sims. It's a shame that island paradise was super laggy on my pc, I loved building resorts. Ambitions was really good imo coz i simply loved cracking cases as a grumpy private detective. Pets had me searching for a unicorn every single sim day. Other packs didn't leave a long enough impression.
To be fair; in TS 2 & 3 stuff packs were supposed to be just that: stuff. No gameplay, just stuff for building and CAS. So in that sense I feel like TS3 did ok on them, there weren't too many and there were mostly a good number of items. I'm excluding the car one from this, since it was maybe a little too niche in focusing ONLY to speedy cars and racing asthetic.... and I've never played the movie one, so hard to say, but I feel like I could have liked some historic costumes for my vampire sims 😅
I do admit They were really cashgrabby with the store worlds but hear me out. Some of them did'nt deserve to be put in the katy perry tier list and are actually very fleshed out. I always play in aurora skies, so that hurt me :') cuz i love it It's my favourite world after all. Sunlit tides is the most stunning world ever. I kinda play island paradise in this world. And I am absolutelty in love with Lucky palms, Monte vista and Roaring heighs, ( which has some really fun stuff to do with your sims actually). Yes, they are overpriced and not worth that much money but you can get them through other means and not give a single penny to ea. That's what I do the store content basically. because it actually had some excellent stuff. The other worlds? I don't really care much about them honestly. I like some, but theyre are msotly average and very similar, and the ones i don't like are just too excentrick and thematical and it's not my thing. Still I they did a good with those ones, lots of people love them. like Midnight hollow, lunar lakes., dragon valley, etc (which, I actually really like, I just never get the change to play in it because of its theme) Another thing, Barnacle bay should've had a ranking of his own below katy perry, which was weird, wacky, and controversial BUT. Barnacle bay is worse because it's plain bad and boring and everyone agrees on this one. It was the last one reckovscki reviewed for a reason. no one likes it 😂
Now that you're doing the comparison is when it really hit me! Late Night was so many packs combined jeez. Get Famous was an expansion pack, an entire expansion pack focused on celebrities which is great but it needed more (and less Judy roaming around EVERYWHERE). If The Shit 4 did something right is the game packs for the occults and that comes from a player who doesn't enjoy anything too supernatural in a LIFE simulation game.
I played this video while only listening to the audio and what a wild ride. I thought “average” was the tier and “there’s nothing wrong with being average” was an affirmation you liked. Slowly unravelling the truth that any lemon flavored vape was a tier had me on the edge of my seat. And Katy Perry having her own tier? Plot twist of the century.
The sims 3 into the future was honestly my favourite pack and I wished they made a pack like that again instead of journey to batu 😵💫 u could have plumbots , hover boards, jet packs, build cool futuristic houses with futuristic items/furniture , we do have a few of those in ts4 but it’s not really what I would want lol
The Sims 3: Into The Future is my favorite expansion pack. Back then I couldnt play it becuase i had everything installed (terrible idea) and yhe game took 30 minutes to leload. Now with my modern PC I can experience every pack all at once and convince myself that the werewolfs and dogs play, vampires and werewolfs fight, Halloween is extra special with supernatural and generations and ITF interact with eachother
Also positive comment but when you showed gameplay with your facecam with the red hair you had. Your weight loss you’ve been working on I noticed it straight away you must be super proud of yourself. You are a high striver and it shows literally through your content. Love watching you and hearing your opinions. You’re an amazing UA-camr and I swear I only watch you and Plumbella the most when it comes to The Sims haha
Gamechanging tip: If you place the Sims 3 Into The Future Food Synthesizer on any community lot in the present, you can have your food served by a waiter and actually visit a restaurant with your family/spouse. (Without the store content) This is why I would never uninstall the pack.
Cheers for making this video, it'll definitely inform my decision on what is worth getting when I eventually end up getting the Sims 3, it's something I've wanted to do for a while now.
I dont think they’ll do it they’ll probably use sims 5 as their biggest cash out, putting all the classic sims 3 mechanics and everything we begged for in sims 4 there. If they do it well I wont be complaining tho..
i only have the pets, into the future and island pack and the island is my absolute fav. Back then I wanted it because of the mermaid feature but I honestly love it sm because of the resort system.
I had the showtime/perry version. I can’t find my install cd and you can’t get the same game online. Still seriously thinking about reinstalling everything else. Watching S4FR lps make me miss ts3 a lot
im convinced i j have completely opposite sims 3 opinions bc im obsessed with into the future and showtime like showtime is probably my fav sims 3 pack 😭 either that or ambitions
Considering I literally had a dream about being in Bridgeport last night, this just hits different. Ambitions are definitely elite tier and I'm so ashamed I fell off Sims 3 because I woulda loved Isla Paradisio. Sims 3 will always be special for how fleshed out its EXPs were...
I love into the future! The plumbots are genuinely one of my most used features. I love having my sims build/upgrade them and having them live with me in the regular neighborhoods. My average household is usually 1-2 sims with a bunch of robots lmao.
I liked building robots in Into the Future, and you had to travel to the future to find the nanites to make the parts. I miss going to France to learn Nectar Making. Such a fun use for the gardening skill.
Did anyone else remember raising unicorns in sims 3? I remember being able to catch one at some river and was surprised their life span was 100 years 😭
Its crazy how similar our opinions are. I can't imagine why anyone would dislike World Adventures, it has so much gameplay that we dont normally get in The Sims and especially not anything you'd see these days in ts4. I loved the skills it added too. Ambitions gets a bit tedious but I still recommend it as having job variety and things to do is always welcome. I do think Seasons is overrated but sadly I don't want to play without weather so its still a required pack for me.
I swear we NEED and DESERVE a Sims 3 Ultimate Collection including ALL Expansion Packs, ALL Stuff Packs AND every. single. piece. from the Store. EVERY. Every hair, every piece of clothes, all shoes and accesoires, every piece of furniture and decorative and building object, every gameplay object AND every world. ALL in one and ALL for free. And obviously bug and routing fixes (fixing bugs, fixing create-a-style so that it´s faster, updating everything for modern laptops and computers)
Ambitions and World Adventures are my kino. I love them so much. Always love running a rags to riches where I run a profession, get enough money to travel, then make boatloads on dangerous tomb raids. Very interesting gameplay.
My third sim file was a family who became rich in a small town through the wife’s paintings. They vacationed to Islo Paradiso, fell in love with the town, moved, and used their fortune to become resort owners. My older Windows laptop could run Island Paradise, but not my new MacBook Pro. It was my all-time favorite pack; the Sims 4 Island Living wasn’t anywhere near the same level.
Wow what a coincidence! Just yesterday I watched your video about ranking the Sims 3 because I saw a great deal on some of them and was wondering if they are worth it 😅
I would suggest trying acottonsock if you want a better opinion. He was ok but he's mostly a sims 4 player so some of his opinions might not be balanced enough. Acottonsock I'd a sims 3 guru. But she's fair and you will get a more well rounded opinion.
Just considering ITF, and I think the low gameplay was a plus for me. I can send my sim to Oasis Landing and not have demands for me to run around and do quests the way WA did. My sim can go spend time in their future house, do stuff, live life, maybe go out and dig up wreckage piles, but all in all, it is easy-going. The big plus in it is the garden rugs. Because I garden.
Thank you! I'm thinking about buying more packs (waiting for sales tho lol) I definitely interested in World adventure, it's perfect for my Lara Croft sims 🥰 I also recommend Late Night, Supernatural and Seasons! It's a fun pack.
I’ll Be honest. I recently downloaded sims 2 though to myself, wow this game is so good 100% best sims game. I then got interested in 3 and holy shit it’s amazing
Calling generations average is crazy. I think if you compare it to the crazy specific stuff of other packs it may seem underwhelming because it’s basically just enhancing the base game by 100, but you can really feel it’s missing presence.
Generations is my absolute favorite sims pack of all time tbh, or at least high up there, so I do disagree with you on that. But I appreciate that you try to be as unbiased as possible in these videos, it’s so refreshing when it seems every sims UA-camr is walking on eggshells trying not to insult the fanbase or whatever
The Sims 3 Riverview did not deserve to be in Katy Perry Sweet Treats It was litch rally a FREE town. Like, that's a Get It at a minimum. Higher than average but not quite seductive.
Actually, you could become and play as a zombie in Supernatural, but you could not create in CAS. Sims 3 zombies are a bit of a letdown, after Sims 2 zombies being so well done. I know that I am in the minority here, I absolutely love Into the Future (I am a scifi buff). The only downside (for me), was I would have loved to play Into tge Past, as well (because the time machine in ambitions was just a rabbit hole experience). I loved the future tech (call me nerdy). Although, I wouldn't call it top tier, it offered enough to it, to satiate my nerdy side. The only packs that I still do not own, nor do I really care to own are Showtime and Katy Perry's Sweet Treats. I also have to give the Movie Stuff pack a low rating, even though I was excited to get it (just found CC to be better). My top tier goes to: Supernatural (I just love the occults, and the world is just beautiful), Generations (it just offered so much additional gameplay, that a Sims 4 player would have to buy multiple packs for, yet still not have it all), Pets (the ability to control without cheats and the addition of horses and all the extra minor pets: chef's kiss), Seasons (even though I think this should be in the base game), the festivals just made it worth top tier status. Now, next Tier down would be Into the Future (as I specified earlier), Ambitions (sadly, it does not live up to its predecessor: Sims 2's OFB), World Adventures (while I do love the different aspects it had to offer, especially the exploring, I still love both its predecessors a bit more), Island Paradise (would be top tier, but had to dl a clean template, and add in a ton of mods just to run smoothly), after that it added the ability to live on a house boat, and the world is jyst breathtakingly gorgeous❣ Mid Tier for me is Late Night (Sims 2 ApartmentLife was way better, and Supernatural brought better vampires), University Life (while, being able to go to class was kinda nice, being pretty much cut off from the ouside world sucked, plus Sims 2 University kicks A$$). Next to bottom tier: Movie Stuff Pack. Bottom Tier: Showtime (do not own it, do not want it, except maybe for the Genie) and Katie Perry's Sweet Treats. Since I own the entire Sims 3 Store (mostly for free, from watching ads), I would place the rest of the Stuff Packs mid tier (I merely bought them all to have items for builds dled from the exchange). A tip for those who do not know: The Sims 3 Store does have a lot of free items for download, and if you go to the Sims forums (Daily Deal Rotation), you can discover a lot more helpful tips, as well as how to purchase items from the store at their cheapest price, how to finish off sets for free, links to threads that give out prizes (store items, and sometimes DLC), plus so much more. I know so many are put off by the greed of EA, but prior to Sims 4, they did offer SimPoints just for watching ads. Unfortunately, shortly after Sims 4 came out in its horrendous state, they eventually pulled the ads to lure simmers to the worst in the series. 😢
As much as I love the seasons expansion for Sims 3, I agree that it should've 100% been in the base game. Raining should've at the very least been in the base game if they still want to charge players for seasons. Rain was a cut feature for Sims 2, it was seen in early gameplay footage but rumor was that it was cut due to haven' been able to figure out a way to stop rain from appearing indoors. However, they have no excuse for cutting it out of Sims 3 and Sims 4. The fact that the opinion "Seasons should've been in the base game" is somehow an unpopular opinion is, imo, what went wrong with Sims 4. Simmers just keep excusing cutting out features for reselling later.
as someone who play since Sims 2...i still remember the excitement that sims 2 loading screen gave me...or in sims 3, sarcophagus in egypt tombs are really scary....islo paradiso underwater scenery was really something...sims4 feels like too vanilla
This is super helpful because I'm considering buying the Sims 3 since the Sims 4 kinda sucks (I've spent like 600 hours on the Sims 4 so it's not like I hate it, but... I remember loving the Sims 3 as a kid and it seems better than 4 in a lot of ways).
Dragon Valley was my favourite growing up! My blue elf eared man with a normal sim man (exploringmy hidden gay ness) . The cute little dragons. And the world. Really loved it. You definitely did it dirty. You even gave seasons a higher rank.
Showtime should have been an updated superstar. Imagine that classic golden age hollywood aesthetic in a world as rich and vibrant as the world adventures ones.
i remember when i owned ambitions and i made my dad sim a firefighter (of course the mom sim was a stay at home mom but also self employed) anyways the dad sim ran into a burning building and i decided not to interfere to see what would happen.. not only did he grab something from the fridge (THAT WAS LITERALLY RIGHT NEXT TO THE FIRE), he alerted that there was a fire then proceeded to sit on the couch pointing and groaning about it
I played all of them, in general I prefer sims2, but sims3 was amazing too. I also loved World Adventures, by far my favourite one, and they also did Pets justice. I loved the quantity of small pets you could get.
It'd be nice if EA would fix their app to allow me to even DOWNLOAD my purchased expansions for Sims 3. As it is, University Life and Into the Future just get stuck on 'Preparing Download' It's like they want me to pirate the game now.
I started playing sims 4 when i was 12 or so. recently started playing sims 3 pets and already i love it more than the sims 4, although it did take me a few attempts at it since i was used to the sims 4 on pc and not sims 3 on xbox 360
The thing I miss about celebrities in sims 3 compared to sims 4 is the rumors that could spread and you coild get disgraced from doing things. It was so puritan as well which I always found super funny like if you had a kid outside of marriage and someone /paparazzi found out bamm the consignment store cashier will be like wtf get out YOU WHORE!!
I'm finally getting my own tank of a laptop, so I think it's about time to check out Sims3. It seems so indepth and fun, I know I will have to do SO much optimisation but that's what Google and external harddrives are for.. Mods!
The memory system was part of patch 22 around the same time sims 3 Generations came out you can just have the base game and the memory system will be there if you do a update
Okay but katy perry's stuff pack gave us that video of her recording TGIF in simlish and for that I say it was worth it. I mean, not worth getting of course. Just, like, worth existing and having happened lol

Still I they did a good with those ones, lots of people love them. like Midnight hollow, lunar lakes., dragon valley, etc (which, I actually really like, I just never get the change to play in it because of its theme)
Another thing, Barnacle bay should've had a ranking of his own below katy perry, which was weird, wacky, and controversial BUT.
Late night even had bands and so many instruments. That pack was insanely large
I agree with island paradise cause now 10 years later so many simmers have developed fixes for that pack in particular so it works much better now
Gamechanging tip:
If you place the Sims 3 Into The Future Food Synthesizer on any community lot in the present, you can have your food served by a waiter and actually visit a restaurant with your family/spouse. (Without the store content)
This is why I would never uninstall the pack.
I've seen straight to the topic videos, but yours definitely gets the crown. I love it
Cheers for making this video, it'll definitely inform my decision on what is worth getting when I eventually end up getting the Sims 3, it's something I've wanted to do for a while now.
i think im the only one who likes katy perry sweet treats. its so stupid and random and hideous i love it lol
i hope sims 4 will have something like world adventures one day, it was my favorite sims 3 pack to play with back in the day!
I dont think they’ll do it they’ll probably use sims 5 as their biggest cash out, putting all the classic sims 3 mechanics and everything we begged for in sims 4 there. If they do it well I wont be complaining tho..
I'm a more CAS based player and I loved the stylist career in Ambitions. I wish we had something like that in TS4
Actually you can play as zombie if you get turned into one!
i only have the pets, into the future and island pack and the island is my absolute fav. Back then I wanted it because of the mermaid feature but I honestly love it sm because of the resort system.
and the house boats!!! so laggy though 😬
I’m considering purchasing Into The Future right now 🤔 I’ve never even considered buying it but idk, sounds fetch™️
Did anyone else remember raising unicorns in sims 3? I remember being able to catch one at some river and was surprised their life span was 100 years 😭
World adventure is by far my fave.
I still have an icecream truck driving on my street and it plays mr sandman from the Chordettes when it passes by. It's great tbh
I clicked on this video out of the blue thinking “they better rate World Adventures really high” because it’s my favorite, and Lo and behold
And obviously bug and routing fixes (fixing bugs, fixing create-a-style so that it´s faster, updating everything for modern laptops and computers)
you could play world adventures for ages and ages. so replayable too.
I would put seasons to insidious because it has aliens and you get abducted by aliens, so I'm bit salty that it's in lemon flavour vape
Who else has never played Sims 3 but will watch any Sims video that Satch makes?
Just considering ITF, and I think the low gameplay was a plus for me. I can send my sim to Oasis Landing and not have demands for me to run around and do quests the way WA did. My sim can go spend time in their future house, do stuff, live life, maybe go out and dig up wreckage piles, but all in all, it is easy-going. The big plus in it is the garden rugs. Because I garden.
Never played the sims 3 but …now I want to
Best review I ever laid my eyes on thank for making this
Thank you! I'm thinking about buying more packs (waiting for sales tho lol)
I definitely interested in World adventure, it's perfect for my Lara Croft sims 🥰
I also recommend Late Night, Supernatural and Seasons! It's a fun pack.
I’ll
Be honest. I recently downloaded sims 2 though to myself, wow this game is so good 100% best sims game. I then got interested in 3 and holy shit it’s amazing
I love The sims 3 showtime ❤ It has a special place in my heart. I'm still hoping to get this in the sims 4
Calling generations average is crazy. I think if you compare it to the crazy specific stuff of other packs it may seem underwhelming because it’s basically just enhancing the base game by 100, but you can really feel it’s missing presence.
Yesss love sims 3
im obsessed with how you put the last tier as katy perry sweet treats because actually what was the point of that whole pack
I really want a personalitiy system with both personalities like the sims 2 and traits from the sims 3. That'd make sims even more unique! :D
Katy Perry’s sweet treats having its own tier is extremely funny
Generations is my absolute favorite sims pack of all time tbh, or at least high up there, so I do disagree with you on that. But I appreciate that you try to be as unbiased as possible in these videos, it’s so refreshing when it seems every sims UA-camr is walking on eggshells trying not to insult the fanbase or whatever
The Sims 3 Riverview did not deserve to be in Katy Perry Sweet Treats
It was litch rally a FREE town.
Now, next Tier down would be Into the Future (as I specified earlier), Ambitions (sadly, it does not live up to its predecessor: Sims 2's OFB), World Adventures (while I do love the different aspects it had to offer, especially the exploring, I still love both its predecessors a bit more), Island Paradise (would be top tier, but had to dl a clean template, and add in a ton of mods just to run smoothly), after that it added the ability to live on a house boat, and the world is jyst breathtakingly gorgeous❣
Mid Tier for me is Late Night (Sims 2 ApartmentLife was way better, and Supernatural brought better vampires), University Life (while, being able to go to class was kinda nice, being pretty much cut off from the ouside world sucked, plus Sims 2 University kicks A$$).
Aww Ambitions should be sultry. Look at the Bayless family. They're right secksy.
as someone who play since Sims 2...i still remember the excitement that sims 2 loading screen gave me...or in sims 3, sarcophagus in egypt tombs are really scary....islo paradiso underwater scenery was really something...sims4 feels like too vanilla
This is super helpful because I'm considering buying the Sims 3 since the Sims 4 kinda sucks (I've spent like 600 hours on the Sims 4 so it's not like I hate it, but... I remember loving the Sims 3 as a kid and it seems better than 4 in a lot of ways).
For me it was the CAS alone that puts Sims 3 ahead of Sims 4.
my really sad i wasn’t into sims when it was sims 2-3 era. i wanna be able to get and buy themm
Someone made Strangetown as a Sims3 world AND IT'S AWESOME!!!
I love Sims3 (next to Sims2).
Dragon Valley was my favourite growing up! My blue elf eared man with a normal sim man (exploringmy hidden gay ness) . The cute little dragons. And the world. Really loved it. You definitely did it dirty. You even gave seasons a higher rank.
Cannot be topped just like me 😂 we love you satch haha ❤
Showtime should have been an updated superstar. Imagine that classic golden age hollywood aesthetic in a world as rich and vibrant as the world adventures ones.
Great video 🎉 will you be doing any more live videos? I enjoyed the last one
i remember when i owned ambitions and i made my dad sim a firefighter (of course the mom sim was a stay at home mom but also self employed) anyways the dad sim ran into a burning building and i decided not to interfere to see what would happen.. not only did he grab something from the fridge (THAT WAS LITERALLY RIGHT NEXT TO THE FIRE), he alerted that there was a fire then proceeded to sit on the couch pointing and groaning about it
11:01 damn congrats on the transition lil blondie sim 👀
I played all of them, in general I prefer sims2, but sims3 was amazing too. I also loved World Adventures, by far my favourite one, and they also did Pets justice. I loved the quantity of small pets you could get.
the only thing i can hope for in sims 5 is sims 3 level gameplay and sims 4 graphics at least.
Am I the only person who remembers dragon valley like it was my fav as a kid and sometimes I feel like I’m crazy because no one remembers it
The thing I miss about celebrities in sims 3 compared to sims 4 is the rumors that could spread and you coild get disgraced from doing things. It was so puritan as well which I always found super funny like if you had a kid outside of marriage and someone /paparazzi found out bamm the consignment store cashier will be like wtf get out YOU WHORE!!
Man... this is probably the best review I ever watch
I came here specifically to see island resort rated top tier. Nice!
I'm finally getting my own tank of a laptop, so I think it's about time to check out Sims3. It seems so indepth and fun, I know I will have to do SO much optimisation but that's what Google and external harddrives are for.. Mods!
That ice cream truck haunts me. It followed you everywhere you went
Sims 3 its so beautiful and full,i actually started to play it again :')
The memory system was part of patch 22 around the same time sims 3 Generations came out you can just have the base game and the memory system will be there if you do a update
me being the one who got every pack downloaded for the sims 3: all of them are good😊
Why did you put Riverview to the Katy Perry? It's literally for free😂😂
Bi love your vids can you give us your best mods pls
Okay but katy perry's stuff pack gave us that video of her recording TGIF in simlish and for that I say it was worth it.
I mean, not worth getting of course. Just, like, worth existing and having happened lol
Sims 3 is my favourite, without a doubt! I did like 2, but not the loading screens. I don't have all the expansions - just Late Night and Ambitions, which I love - which is why I'm here instead of working...
That was really helpful, thanks!
i am a fan of all things camp so i loved the katy perry pack as a kid, even now lol
You are so correct about island paradise being an absolute cracking pack!
I like WA, Late Night, Ambitions etc also other ones too
if they made sims 5 with gameplay from 2 and 3 with the create a sim from sims 4, id buy it
I find it funny that somebody made an unofficial version of Katy Perry Sweet Treats for the Sims 4 and it’s actually not terrible
It feels like so long ago that sims packs were SO full of content.. not picked apart to penny pinch like TS4
