- My first experience with exercises on slow cornering the BMW R1200RT.
Norbert prepared some beginner exercises, inspired by Quinn Redeker. I never did training like this before, but I've been wanting to do this for quite a while. Thanks Norbert for preparing the training. I learned a lot.
I'm definitely going to continue practicing. Way too much fun not to do this.

This type of training is really excellent for city driving and filtering between lanes. I use cones whenever I get a new bike to prepare me for slow riding through traffic and the exercises here are excellent. I haven’t moved the cones off line the way you did. Good idea, I’ll do that.
Thanks for taking time to share the learning experience.
Simple but brilliant bike exercises. I enjoyed that, it’s motivated me to get some cones and do some manoeuvring with the boys. 👍🏼
Thanks Steve!
You can get cones, or use some tennis balls, which you cut in half. I did the latter. Bought 25 tennis balls for 16 eur incl shipping at oudetennisballen.com (2nd hand).
During the excercises with the cones, I noticed I kept getting distracted by the cones , because I thought when I would ride over them, I would slide sideways and thus would fall.
In reality this did not happen, but I did notice me being anxious about that, limiting my confidence and thus also limiting the result.
The sliced tennis balls slide less. Hence feels better to me. Plus cheaper.
@@FlatTwinTherapy Top Tip Rolf, thanks. Tennis balls it is….and they are easier to transport on the bike to my nearest practice area😀👍🏼
You made life really difficult with the cones. Why not go a bit wider at the beginning? Was part of the exercise to go close to the cones?
No. Agreed, should have taken it wider. It also means you need to turn more aggressive, which is to be learned. Learning in progress. Thanks
How tall is Norbert?
