If I might offer a stake-pulling suggestion (for the next time, I guess), get ya a short (6" or so) loop of nylon or Spectra cord - a rock climber's sling, f'rinstance - double it around to form a choke or "cow hitch" and slip it onto your stake that wants to be pulled, then just drop the part of the loop that's sticking out from the stake over the jack's "hook" and lift away. The more you jack it up, the tighter the sling will choke around the stake, and out it pops. That way you don't have to worry about keeping the jack's hook tucked underneath the little knobby-things on the stakes.
We used to do something similar with a loop of chain and a forklift to pull circus tent pegs out of the ground. (For the record, our circus tent pegs were solid steel round stock, 1-1/2" in diameter and 4' long, driven almost all the way into the earth with a honkin'-big pneumatic hammer)

Our current place is similar sq ft to that and built in 1930. 1 outlet per wall.
