  • In this video I declutter my incredibly message under sink cupboard and some utensils drawers in my kitchen. I streamline my cleaning supplies, get rid of out of date items and utilise containers to corral smaller items. I discuss the importance of self care and not overdoing it when you are decluttering your home. I hope you enjoy it!
    I warmly acknowledge the traditional custodians of the lands on which I filmed, the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin nation. I acknowledge their profound connection to the land, and pay my respects to their elders, past, present and emerging.

    🏡 One of my favorite jobs: decluttering in the kitchen! And yours is lovely, such nice wide drawers.

    Lilibet! You have such a great ear for music. I understand fully why you are a music therapist! Secondly, thank you for the REAL life decluttering. So many content creators have 3 things on their counter which makes the rest of us roll our eyes. It's not encouraging. And finally, bravo for pacing yourself. It's far easier to push (if that's even possible) and pay dearly for it the next day. Xo

      Thanks Deanna, I'm so pleased that you enjoy the music! I love finding meaningful and beautiful songs and get such pleasure from integrating them into my videos. Yep I do try to keep it real while still making efforts to simplify and improve. Thanks for watching ❤️🏠

    As usual, a very enjoyable and interesting video. You have such a knack for decorating and creating a beautiful home. Even the space under your sink and your kitchen drawers are attractive to the eye. Fantastic work and great work realising your limits and stopping before you wore yourself out.

    You did a great job with your decluttering and reorganising. I'm very glad I don't have many cleaning products to deal with. The lazy susans look like they'll work great. I've only ever used them in the pantry, but will keep this in mind for our new apartment.

    Love your home. I don’t use any chemical anymore. My Cupboard is now empty just use vinegar for everything, citric acid and sometimes gumption. Bleach doesn’t kill mould spores it just discolours it so it looks like it’s gone. Vinegar does kill it.

    • @teawithlilibet
      @teawithlilibet  2 місяці тому

      Thank you so much! Vinegar is useful for a lot of cleaning tasks. My home used to be almost completely chemical free. But a few have crept back in 😀. I'm planning to do a full review of my cleaning needs and products at some point and hopefully swap over to more natural options. 😍

    Your apartment looks so calm and cozy... Your drawers still seem a bit to full for my taste, but it's clearly much better than before 😀
    I won't be able to watch you live because it will be the middle of the night for me, but my question is : did you miss anything that you get rid of ?

    • @teawithlilibet
      @teawithlilibet  2 місяці тому

      Thanks Lila! And also for your question for the live. I agree re the drawers being a bit full. I used the containers to try and make it workable. But am thinking to do a full kitchen reorganisation at some point and see if I can declutter or redistribute some of the items. 😍

    I use only vinegar and bleach to clean. I also have a carpet cleaner because my kitty likes to throw up hairballs on the only rug in my whole apartment . I cant have any chemicals around because i have severe allergies.

    • @teawithlilibet

      Thanks Maggie, my cat used to skip right over the tiles and throw up on the carpet too! I'm glad you found products that you can safely use. When I was first sick with chronic fatigue I couldn't have any chemicals near me. I would love to swap to some more natural options once I've used up what I have. 😍

    baking powder? or baking soda? for cleaning. and instead of FINISH for dishwasher, ive read you can use vinegar with drop of orange or lemon oil. very nice!

    How effective is that mosquito protection for you, I wonder?
    I’m currently located at a place which was previously farmland, and there’s a river nearby. I have to deal with mosquitoes almost year-round and I’ve found that for me, none of the mosquito repellents work. So I have to rely on mosquito nets and electric mosquito bats to keep the population in my apartment under check. 😅

    • @simplyvs
      @simplyvs 2 місяці тому +1

      Also, great work on organizing the under-sink cupboard! 🏠 Those Lazy Susans seem to be really effective for such kinds of storage areas where you don’t want to have to spend too much time rifling through all the stuff to get what you require 😂

    • @teawithlilibet
      @teawithlilibet  2 місяці тому

      I've been lucky so far and haven't noticed too many mosquitoes in my area even though I'm also near a river. But I've only been here 6 months. So I'll see how that all goes. I mainly use the Aerogard for a summer picnic or if I go for a walk at dusk. And do try and cover up as much as possible. It doesn't stop all the bites but reduces them. For home I'd probably do a solution similar to yours.

    Just wondering what you do with so many tongs?

    • @teawithlilibet
      @teawithlilibet  2 місяці тому

      What a great question and well spotted!! I've realised over the years that I don't like handling raw meat or anything greasy or sticky. So I use one pair of tongs for the raw meat and another for the when it's cooked. And then I'll often use the smaller thongs for salads or serving veggies. So I may end up using 3 or 4 tongs for one meal. Then I have the extras for when those are in the dishwasher. I know I could probably do with less. But it kind of works for me 😆😆
