16:20 The Space Koala is the God of The Star Trek franchise. Or, at least, the nearest entity to god, so ordinary people can understand it. Luckily for Boimler, the Space Koala is too pleased to witness his suffers and he allowed to live. For now.
16:15 The idea's been floated that the Koala is actually a shout-out to an old webcomic called Schlock Mercenary in which the AI for a koala-like species called the Ob'enn eventually amasses enough power and knowledge to become nigh-omnipotent within its local galaxy.
Well, there was the whole to-do they made of promoting Worf in Generations. And from how they spoke of it, it sounds like it's an Enterprise-D tradition for such a promotion.
I used to think that Worf got a special ceremony because he's a member of the senior staff. Riker, though, makes a comment about always getting the "retract the plank" command right, so they must've done it before.
Interesting on how Boimler had to learn to trust in his team at the same time as Captain Freeman basically caused all the problems in this episode by insisting she could handle things on her own
So that's three times Boimler's died now. He drowned and saw the koala, died of dehydration and met Sulu, and now he's met the koala again. That Lieutenant is one of the regular background characters. He's has lines a few times, but I think this episode might have more than the rest of the series to date. His first appearance was in the first episode checking in the new crew including Tendi. He also got the first title drop I think. He's the one that telks her "Move it along lower decks" and later says the same to the command crew when they're doing the training scenarios.
The Kzinti are actually a species from a Larry Niven novel. When they were introduced in Star Trek: The Animated Series, they vanished soon after due to copyright issues. Lower Decks brought them back! :D
T`Lynn got a nice side role here, not only seeing what is going on with Boimler, but getting him to be the officer he´s made to be and has his back then when he sends his team back out to do the most dangerous part alone. An emotional intelligent Vulcan and kidna nice to see that sad look when Boimler seems to have died, I have to say I like her.
2:16 I still want a redemption arc for her. Peanut Hamper could still learn lessons. She is very young. I’d love it if Agamon or Badgey took things too far even for her. Or maybe she’s gonna feel unexpected feelings at some suffering she inflicts. That would be epic. If not, I love to hate her. And I do. I hate her. So much.
The ban on all synths happens in only a few years, according to the Star Trek timeline. The destruction of Romulus and the horrors we witness in Picard are about to begin.
8th the One thing that Irks me about Lower Decks...has nothing to do with the episodes.... Im loving the show....and I watched the TOS as new episodes as a kid... ( Boomer ) what bugs me is the intro when a small asteroid bounces off the Ship..and sounds "Tin-Eee".....It would be more accurate if it bounced OFF the SHeilds IMO>... just saying....
The black mountain shax mentioned and the waiting room.
Also the koala said to Brad its not your time bradward boimler just in reverse
"relmioB drawdarB emiT ruoY toN stI"

Quick someone alert Master Chief another Halo ring has been discovered🤣
15:48 You can actually see a worried look on T’Lyn’s face.
Well she is emotional for a Vulcan. Makes her indeed a lot better suited for Starfleet.
A Kzinti. On a Ringworld. Larry Niven fans rejoiced.
Also Picard and Riker totally hazed Worf on his promotion to lieutenant commander.
And Riker hazed his replacement at the end of Insurrection
"Call him Jean-Luc" 😶
And halo
I love that we took 30 seconds to remember how good Chicken Little was 😂
We mustn't forget when the sky fell.

I mean, he almost drowned back in finally of season 2.
And he saw the Space Koala for the first time then.
The koalas said it is not your time Bradward boiler

Nice parallel. Boimler would probably make a better captain than Freeman though. Lol
Freeman isn't one of the great captains, and this is why.
She's not perfect but I think she is better than you give her credit
Great reaction this episode was wonderful. I really loved Boimlers growth in this one.
As for hazing remember worf and the gangplank
That too. Remove the plank!

I thought he looked familiar. I imagine he's probably going to have a more prominent role going forward.

I think they also appeared in Star Trek IV.
@@chattery No, that was a Caitain.
Ah, got my cats mixed up.
Kelsey Grammer's character was also the Black ops guy who led the mission to exonerate Freeman...
Yeah he's been around. Apparently he was the first one to meet Tendi when she arrived on the Cerritos.

Moisturize me, moisturize me!
Be careful what you wish for.
Wasn't that a Doctor Who villain?
@@MultiSouthernCrossYes, it was... "The Last Human", like 6 billion years from now. 🙄

My second sci-fi manga is Dragonball z and super with the koala is the onmiking
13:48 I bet whoever watches this moment will laugh, and I have.
If anyone sees this comment and have laughed, then like this comment, LOL😂
Also lancelot is a ferret not a racoon
He's not a Rabboon either.

Haha I've never thought about that.
