I tried several setups, ended up with your setup. Instead of using the Yeti Vanquish part I designed my own 3D printed part, but you get the same effect. What I do,(depending on the terrain) I set it up exactly as you did. But if I want to lower the center gravity of my SCX10.2 Jeep Cherokee I simply relocate the lower shock mounting point. The shock end comes mounted to the axle on its own mounting boss. But, by relocating it to the same mounting point as the lower link, it lowers the overall center of gravity of the chassis. It is a simple 2 minute fix that you can do on the go and quickly change the handling depending on the terrain. From a more trail setup to a crawler setup and back with still the benefit of more flex. Difference in ride hide is around 8mm, and you gain or lose a bit of flex, but still have more flex and better handling than standard. There is a how to blog article on the Axial website: www.axialracing.com/blog_posts/1073926252. Keep up the good work, your videos are very helpfull. You have a really nice looking Jeep Cherokee. Like the Monster theme.
That is great simple, lighter idea for front wheel wells. Might allow more mud storage, but for overall crap deflection and simplicity for cheap - great
Very nice looking rig! I built a kit scx10 II and I absolutely love it. I'm running Holmes Hobbies brushless sensored electronics on 3s Lipo, and it hauls ass for a crawler. Just a great RC kit!
I put rc4wd king shocks 100mm on my scx10 ii and I got 5 3/4 inch with all tires still on ground did not have to modify my skid plate. You lifted yours making it more top heavy
So as you can see the diy swaybar was cheap and super effective! I am glad you liked it and I encourage you to do the same on your rig. Let me know how well it worked for you!
I did the mod to the T. my rear flex's nice I can stick the Duratrax under my rear wheel. my front doesn't sit on the table like yours does. I also noticed my scx10-ii now sits taller than when it was stock.
thanks man. still waiting on the shock rebuild kit for the diaphragms. I think your "buttery smooth" video caused a back order lol. great job keep em comin
Just found your channel & subbed. Jeep looks wicked & as a Builder myself it's always farout to see what others are doing, some great content going on!
This truck is the kit version, The RTR version has different driveshaft angles. don't know if the shock mod will work on the RTR, I will try it though...
Thanks for the vid I have mine apart working on new links and have been trying to figure out where the rear drive shaft was rubbing ( didn't see it before I took it apart) will be clearancing that before I put it back together
I dont understand all the people against the flexibility?? I guess iv always thought more flex the better for rock crawling?? That gos for my RC and my full size jeep. To me more flex, heavier oil and a lower center of gravity always takes the win??? Im new to the rc crawling world and still learning though.
i want to buy one. my daily driver is a 1:1 98 xj as built but still driveable as i fell comfortable with. i want one of these for obvious reasons but dont want to buy until my lhs gets one in stock so i can look at it.
Whoa!!! Please, someone, if they might know. Wbo makes the front and rear inner fenders set. AND will they fit a semi-clone( if that's what it is), an RGT R008? The Jeep Wrangler Rubicon. I have an Injora body on it and hate being able to see all the way through in front.
the issue though is it seems the OLDER cherokees are the only ones that had central driveshaft outputs. what was the product number for these older cherokees? trying to find a central output transmission to slap into my f100 scx10 II
It is not the age but rather the kit version gearbox (hi-lo) that has the center drive shaft. The down size of the gearbox is the motor weight shifted to the rear and it does not actually work as good as offset version that places the motor more to front.
Nice Truck but FYI, you dont Gain travel by leaning a shock you Lose travel, stand a pencil ✏ upright , when is the pencil at its highest point? is it when its upright or when its leaning over?....
Sweet rig. Do you have a video showing the driveline mod? I've only run Vaterra but just got my forst SCX10II with the offset driveline.. looking for pro's and cons...
Mike Day sorry I don't have a video on the drive line. Personally the offset drive line is the better way to go for crawling as it puts more weight forward.
I just purchased an SCX10 II RTR maybe 12 hours ago. Brand new in the box from a hobby store near me. My drive line is shifted to the side unlike yours where it's in the center. Also my shocks are black, not silver. Does the kit come with different parts than the RTR?
What lower links are those, and this can be done to a rtr version of the scx10ii I'm assuming without having to cut the skid plate up as to the off center geometry am I correct? I'm having issues trying to figure out what links to use to keep the rear long, but it's a rtr it has stock links which look cheap
I dont get the people that know it all but are watching these videos just to comment negatively. Weird you know it all... no need to watch his mod then
Hi, I'm new to the rc crawling world. Im looking at buying the scx10 deadbolt. Will this mod work on that machine? Would you recommend a different scx10 over the deadbolt?
+Trent Carter deadbolt is a great first crawler to have. there are already plenty after market parts for doing this. Try searching for “scx10” shocks keys on eBay. It works for both the 10.1 deadbolt and 10.2.
You are absolutely right but consider I am doing half crawling and half Baja race this is great. I bet you would be excited if I told you I am working in a quick disconnect sway setup for this rig. This allows for best of of both world with just popping a body post. Video in that soon.
Hi, first of all, awesome video! Great Job! My question is, which of those two you prefer --> the SCX10 I or the SCX10 II? Maybe you may tell me some reason. Thank you very much!
Scx10 II all day my friend. I'll take the scx10II over the scx10 and bomber for getting in the rocks and trail. This rig perform so well on my local rock racing track while other scx10 I were getting stuck in all the places. It is he huge that puts the most smile in my face when I drive. 3 reasons why it is better, small pumpkin, long travel suspension and chassis mounted servo.
nice vid odd ? would yhis consept work on a boom racing d110 as well i ask cuz i got 4 peces that r sorta the same thing u made and idk what there for lol tu

There's so much travel
I'm so proud joe 👍🏼
So many yeti owners have that part as it didnt do much for that kit until now, thanks, cutting mine now!
That is great simple, lighter idea for front wheel wells. Might allow more mud storage, but for overall crap deflection and simplicity for cheap - great
That noise homer makes when he thinks about dohnuts is what im making now aaaaaaaawwwwwwyyyy
I love my Axial SCX10 II! Best RC car ever :D
Wait I’ll you try the 3
Very nice looking rig! I built a kit scx10 II and I absolutely love it. I'm running Holmes Hobbies brushless sensored electronics on 3s Lipo, and it hauls ass for a crawler. Just a great RC kit!
holmes hobbies make great stuff
Wayne Altman. Trailmaster BL Pro 2pole sensored motor 3300kv was $100. Trailmaster BLE esc was $150.
I put rc4wd king shocks 100mm on my scx10 ii and I got 5 3/4 inch with all tires still on ground did not have to modify my skid plate. You lifted yours making it more top heavy
Nice mod on a great looking Jeep
Such a beautiful rc!
So as you can see the diy swaybar was cheap and super effective! I am glad you liked it and I encourage you to do the same on your rig. Let me know how well it worked for you!
What kind of shocks are you using
Not a sway bar....
sway bar????
Put the can on the inside of a tire not in the middle
I did the mod to the T. my rear flex's nice I can stick the Duratrax under my rear wheel. my front doesn't sit on the table like yours does. I also noticed my scx10-ii now sits taller than when it was stock.

I like your thought process simple and effective 👍🏼 well done
The biggest problem with your mod is when you install the setup in the front and sharp turn with tire lifted it binds into the shocks!
Scott Palmer you’re doing it wrong. Bind the receiver not the shocks 🤪🤣
have you tested crawling?
Wicked, can't wait to get mine.
Just found your channel & subbed. Jeep looks wicked & as a Builder myself it's always farout to see what others are doing, some great content going on!
I think you'll also need open diffs for racing
Your tips are always on point. Stsy safe and have fun always.
This truck is the kit version, The RTR version has different driveshaft angles. don't know if the shock mod will work on the RTR, I will try it though...
People are hatin too much. He made this for the purpose of being baja capable. He said it over and over in the video
Excellent video! registered! I was looking for a painting idea for a bubble of mine, I really liked yours! Congratulations!
진짜 딱 5년 전에 봤던건데
요즘 차들 훨 잘나오는데도 지금 봐도 이쁜차다
Your videos are always great, man! Keep up the good work :D
Thanks for the vid I have mine apart working on new links and have been trying to figure out where the rear drive shaft was rubbing ( didn't see it before I took it apart) will be clearancing that before I put it back together
Great mods and great explanation in your videos. Easy choice to subscribe. Thanks!
Dude, I would buy this truck from you! Great work! I subscribed!
it appears that mod actually gives you bout a quarter inch lift as well
LOVE the TIRES & WHEELS. Ran same on a Real Truck I owned years ago. Let me know how the tires handle. Thanx
What do I search up to add these to my crawler 🙌🙌🙌😍😍😍😍
I dont understand all the people against the flexibility?? I guess iv always thought more flex the better for rock crawling?? That gos for my RC and my full size jeep. you gona love it.
What are those wheeels 😍
Stock method 1.9 kit wheels that are painted green
Dang! Wish my real XJ had that flex 👍

How do i get this much suspension travel
Great upgrade!
It work on my redcat gen 7 and my scx10
When scale looks are 💯 but scale realism is thrown out the window
Nice Truck but FYI, you dont Gain travel by leaning a shock you Lose travel, stand a pencil ✏ upright , when is the pencil at its highest point? is it when its upright or when its leaning over?....
On the last shot not all wheels were touching the ground
Very good. What is your suspension?
Nostalgic! Do you still drive this vehicle?
great video man
I did the same mod, but mine keeps rolling over extremely easy. What oil you using
Nice video. This is a nice mod but I think, doing this will also increase torque twist effect...?
Pure genius! what are those parts you cut in half from again?
you can just google scx10 shock keys on ebay..they have lots of ready made options
JPRC Sweet thanks!
Would you recommend this is a starter vehicle for crawling
Jonah Werbelow YES very easy to upgrade
Nice build
Hey mi FAMILIA!!!!!

looks good!
The shock 90mm?
What kind of stock and and size and what kind of springs
Great work looks great
So one cut in half will do front and rear for each side? So I only need to order 2 total not 4 ?
Nick Lewis or you can now search for “scx10 shock keys” on eBay and or Amazon. They make them now for the exact reason.
still can't get over how amazing it looks..
I need to know where can I find that monster energy decal?
Link in description
+JPRC don't see it..
+Carlos Smith in the previous video
Hey JPRC! Who sells those tires? I'm building a SCX10 to replicate my full size Toyota and that has the KO2's on it.....
Hi, can you tell me the length of those shock absorbers. Thank you
Amazing build. I have a question thou. What did you use to make the wheel wells?
They are cut out made out of dollar store black vinyl folders
Would this mod work for the clone as well? Great rig you got there... Thanks for sharing...
Very nice truck, subed
Wow Beautiful jeep 😎
Nice rig bud, what weight did you used in your shocks.? Thanks
Hello ! What did you wear to make the inner wings?
friend I have a concern ... the model fit well scx10ii new tires Proline XL flat iron? ...
I would like to paint my mirrors and handles too. Can you please tell what kind of colour you have used. Tamiya PS paint doesn't hold. Thanks
+Harry Schulz to paint on hard plastic you need tamiya TS paint
hey, awsome rig. what size and brand shocks?
What lower links are those, and this can be done to a rtr version of the scx10ii I'm assuming without having to cut the skid plate up as to the off center geometry am I correct? I'm having issues trying to figure out what links to use to keep the rear long, but it's a rtr it has stock links which look cheap
What links are those on that crawler?
How long are your shocks on there
I dont get the people that know it all but are watching these videos just to comment negatively. Weird you know it all... no need to watch his mod then
In my scx10 the driveshaft is to the side. What type of transmission has the driveshaft in the middle?
You have the scx10... this is the scx10 2... it's a newer version
Dane Fife Or he has the scx10 ii rtr which has the old trans
@JPRC whitch push rods set did you use?
What size links are those
Are you related to JJRC?
Should I get one?
The scx10 ll? Yes.
oh yea!
Check out my scx10 ll on my instagram page @az_crawlers
I don't find the produkt anywhere
what is the part name so i can order one?
what bracket did you use near the shock tower?
This should work on the scx10 1 too right? Also is the 10w to light?
yes 10w is too light. i finally settle back to 20 rear and 30 front.
Is that what the stock oil is?
I wanna do some crawling, would this be a good buy? I'm not sure if it has enough flex
Cooooooooool truck dude
Ryan Clark nub
what body is that?
Hi, I'm new to the rc crawling world. Im looking at buying the scx10 deadbolt. Will this mod work on that machine?

you didn't set the pignons angles
good for racing, bad for crawling... and considering that's a crawler .. I don't know...
You are absolutely right but consider I am doing half crawling and half Baja race this is great. I bet you would be excited if I told you I am working in a quick disconnect sway setup for this rig. This allows for best of of both world with just popping a body post. Video in that soon.
1.9 solid axle class here that's a racer.
awesome flex. will this set up work for the scx10 1? if so what shocks and length shocks should i use?
cbe makes shock keys just for the scx10 I
What shocks are you using?
+John Johnson those are stock scx10 II shocks
Hey! Did you use Yeti Front Shock Adjuster on both front and back? or were there Yeti BACK shock adjusters?
these are the front ones cut in half
Coolness!
What did u make your front inner fenders from
Check out the xtra speed inner fender set for scx10.2 they are cheap and great fit
Hi, first of all, awesome video! Great Job! My question is, which of
those two you prefer --> the SCX10 I or the SCX10 II? Maybe you may

Also crazy steering angle is another reason I like it
How to pick up a pair of awesome inside spring shock for Gmade R1?? - can you help give some advices?
i dont have experience with the Gmade shocks so i can't say too much about them
nice vid odd ? would yhis consept work on a boom racing d110 as well i ask cuz i got 4 peces that r sorta the same thing u made and idk what there for lol tu
Donde puedo comprar una
What shocks do u use on this
