8:45 as the proud owner of a black cat named Lucky, this is one of his many bad habits. His worst is jumping on your shoulder and just chilling there however. Also if you lean in for a kiss, he does the same and he slams his forehead into your chin to rub it up against you. He's the sweetest.
when i woke up from anesthesia, i asked the nurse when we'd do the surgery, called her a liar when she said it was already done, and told her she had no proof. on the way home i cried because we went to mcdonalds instead of taco bell and ate my mcgriddle in tears. the second we got home i sat on the couch and slept for 8 hours, and yelled at my mom for trying to give me the pain meds i asked her for when i woke up.
when my cousin got his wisdom teeth removed they had to wheel him out in a wheelchair (as they do) and he started laughing and shouted "I'M A PARALLELOGRAM" ...we think he meant paraplegic.

There was Birch, an escape artist who bolted every time you opened his cage, and he somehow managed to break out of his carrier. Faith, a kitten who bullied all the other kittens in the room. Mittens, for hissing and swatting at his blind roommate. Amber, who would see a cat through the bars of her cage and an start hissing. She also seemed to hate all my coworkers and all the volunteers. Except me for some reason. That rage filled ball of fluff came home with me and now lives as a spoiled queen.
Putting on this little weekly shout out is such a great idea honestly. Humor is such a great way to get people to engage with pets, and having this insight into an animal's personality is a smart way to make people connect with them enough to want to take one home.
