Awesome collection! You was right when you told me you had some nice seiko to review 👍 Would have to be the Tuna for me as it’s not like anything else in my collection 😀
I know everyone says the Samurai is so named for its sword hands but I read ages ago it came from the similarity to the body armour worn by Samurais which do in fact have similar-ish angular shapes covering the joints. Also the Seiko's hands are symmetrical whereas Samurai swords are famously not.

The tuna would be my pick of these three. I have an orange SNE109P1 diver which I really like and as well as having tea on it, it has actually been 40m down in the pacific ocean! They do occasionally get used for diving. Great video by the way - obviously, a lot of work went into the production.

Damn. The tuna is a winner! Seems like the most think through of them. (date, bezel with lume, wearable) Dont mind that solar quartz at all, in the end is a solid japanese movement. Superb!
I got the Monster as I was looking for a black PVD diver and I was also looking for a Monster so it’ was a bit of a 2 for 1……still want a Gen 2 Orange Monster though !!

I just bought that Monster on 30% off, i have also the Padi Turtle Pepsi.. I like the Samurai but i don't like the Tuna! Thank you!
Loved my Samurai PADI when I first got it but found the aluminium bezel insert was easily scratched and dented - too soft IMO for a tool diver. Replaced it with a Helm Vanuatu - big improvement.

Great review Mr. MWC as usual. Kurt Santana is my go to for all future Watch decisions. The black tuna is one of my favorite tuna’s with the super bright bezel lume. This monster is one any monster fan should own, agreed on how the case and bezel meet. I also got the Samurai, my first one and it is great in its own way, a really good trio of “limited” editions that fit well on my 7 inch wrist. All three are real stunna’s!

Very nice watches........but..Oh Noooo! Someone filed down the teeth of the Monster! 😜 I definitely prefer the second generation, but maybe a lot of people thought it was ugly, but not me. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder!!

Three nice watches! I agree with the wife about the cyclops--never liked those. Like you, I'd go with the tuna. Never thought I was into that case shape but it really pops in black!

I saw these at my local AD today. The Samurai and Monster models. To bad the Samurai wasn't given the King treatment. I wore it and really like it. I'll hold off for now though. Plus I have a similar look in the SRPB55K1. They had it for $385 USD, which isn't bad.

It took me a month to choose between Tuna and Monster. Finally I took Tuna, absolutely love it. With that orange minute hand it looks like an instrument from a navigation panel of some submarine.

Indeed they have their magic, I recently went for a Seiko marinemaster 300 with 44 mm sphere diameter and 50 mm lug to lug. Guess what: it looks wonderful in my small 6.5 inch wrist. You have to be a bit wizard to achieve that. By the way, it's a homage not the original Seiko but still a gem. Brilliant review. All three models are real Seiko's classics by their own right. Samurai case is quite something, isn't?

Just bought the Monster. After buying an Omega Deville and a Hamilton American Classic this year ... gotta say, the Monster is my favourite so far 🥰 cant take it off my hand. Thanks to you man, a great vidoe. I know you chose the Tuna though 😒😄

Fantastic looking watches but I think I prefer the stainless steel versions. Out of the three I'd choose the Monster.

The original Monster did not have shark's teeth. That was Gen 2. Gen 1 had rectangular indices that tapered in moving outwards towards the bezel.

I'm getting the Tuna ( I think). I want another Seiko diver but something that's always ready to go, the NH35/36 is of course a great workhorse but I don't need another and just want something needing much less adjustment - I'm a bit nerdy for accurate timekeeping at the moment (I'm blaming my multiband6 G-Shocks for that). Already have a Sammie so the Solar Tuna just sits right for me right now.

I like the samurai even without samurai hands. The inside texture of the strap should be outside, especially by the monster! Logo on the crown would be just perfect ... Very nice watches. For a limited edition not a high price ... But what is limited edition 50, 100, 1000 ???

These are cool releases, but I am still bummed the equivalent turtle was released shortly before I got really into watches, and they're going for US$800+ now. I'm sorry, but I'm not paying that much for a Hardlex/NH36 Seiko. I'll stick with my King Turtle.

The Samurai was named after the shape of the lugs...not the hands.The lugs look like the tip of a Samurai sword.( the Kissaki and Boshi)

I own the monster ;) so accurate .
Gonna be a bit bias here.... I have to go with the Samurai... (1) It was my first automatic watch [PADI], (2) It's my daily and (3) It is so far the best fitting watch on my wrist... Completely balanced, probably because I have spent most of my life wearing G-Shocks.

Even though it’s probably a tad bigger than my usual preference I’ve got to go Samurai. I’ve been very tempted by one of the Save the Ocean Great White Samurais recently. A dial so blue you’d think you could swim in it but you probably shouldn’t because that dial is shark infested 🦈🤣
