When someone is doing a really good Job of something you just love to watch the whole thing from beginning to end with interest all the way. Thanks for showing what you do. 👍
@ 😂 Me repairing something like this will take a bit of learning first. And if I needed to use a power tool - I would need a fair bit of practice at that too. Thanks again for your video
I love knowing this type of repair/restoration can be done as I just had my entire home refinished in luxury plank flooring. I know one of these days damage WILL occur, and seeing that a repair can be done with such an excellent outcome gives me confidence. Beautiful job. 10/10
I question the durability of that wax. It's nowhere near as resilient as the flooring material. Just matching the colour and texture is purely aesthetic but does nothing for longterm durability.
I highly recommend storing some extra pieces of flooring you have left over. There are methods to replace individual full boards. If you have a floating floor and damage is close to a wall you could even disassemble and replace the broken panel
This was in my feed for some reason, and despite my usual total lack of attention span, watched the whole thing. You have a gift. That repair is amazing.
Amazing- great job. Had a similar hole in my Quik Step flooring a few weeks after installation fixed it to be about 80% new...but I missed several steps and the tips and techniques you have shared here would have enabled me to get it 100%. Brilliant- thanks for sharing!
Ive done that on the rounded edge of a laminate marble kitchen top….two large chunks were missing so I used chemical metal to fill the holes….sanded it smooth and replicated the marble with acrylics….used gloss varnish to finish it off. You couldn’t tell where the chunks had been. We’ve changed the units now or I’d send a pic….i was so proud I challenged people to spot the repairs!
Nice work. I really appreciate the attention to detail. When I do a project, any little flaw like that little hole will draw my eye like a magnet every time I go into that room until I fix it 😂
It looks like an editing trick. Like if the person started dry painting over the non chipped surface. Then chipped the surface and fix until a certain point with wax and paint. Then inserting the footage of the original surface at the end. It's good still but... Many restore/fix videos on UA-cam are fake. Don't believe the hype 😂
You mean 5 minute ? Naturally i have no questions the Job is Well done, you are an Artist for me personally but please stop with that Sort of click bait "5 minute". No...first thing First you need to have Tools, and second Thing is you need time, and i don't mean 5 minutes but a couple of hours
Je suis étonné. Je ne pensais pas que de telle réparation pouvait être réalisé sur du stratifié. La réparation est parfaite. Le résultat impeccable. Bravo.
@TheRestorerTIPS I've never done such a repair. Usually the laminate we use where I live isn't expensive enough to make this cost effective. But if someone asked me to do it anyways I would look online cause I don't know. Now I've seen this I would show them your video, since it's something I feel people like to do themselves if they know how to.
@@TheRestorerTIPS Your method is way more sophisticated and the end result is a lot cleaner. Could be worth trying to combine the methods for deeper cracks and dents. First filling most of the crack with the glue mix which is almost an instant fix. Then finish it off with the hardwax-paint combo you showed in your video. What is the price range of the hardwax sticks you used? edit. Links were apparently provided in the description.
I install LVP flooring and the way I fix this type of issues is by just replacing the damaged plank but the way this guys just fixed that dent is not only impressive but probably more affordable.
what a fantastic job you have done that is exactly my problem. Many thanks for the fantastic job and many thanks for sharing with us. Today I learned a great thing. Many thanks from Sweden
Awesome, thank you very much. A lot of people would attempt the same but give up too early, resulting in a botched job. This is incredible. What are those alarm sounds, ships outside? Sounds like the aliens from the War of the Worlds.
Wow that's amazing. I have vinyl laminate flooring, luckily the installer gave me extra just in case something like this happens. I guess if I didn't have extra I would probably contact the Manufacturer if they still made my type of flooring.
