@RandomGuyOnUA-cam601 With sawdust (very fine sawdust), mixed with wood cement used in carpentry; when dry, it is evened with sandpaper. Depending on the color, you can tone it looking for similarity.
@RandomGuyOnUA-cam601 In my country, where they sell paint, they also sell ink or toners for wood. Depending on what wood it is, it is the tone. Likewise, you have to try to make it look similar, in an artisanal way. I don't know where you can get it in your country, I'm guessing where they sell paint or a carpentry shop. Maybe at a big box store (Wallmart, Easy, etc.). My English is Google Translate, sorry if you don't understand it completely.
Greate job! I've repaired floor tiles, laminate, enamel bath, furniture and I have to say, color matching is the hardest thing. It takes most of the time. Thank you!
@@TheRestorerTIPS Great question. If you are renting a house and damage a tile, this technique could help save your deposit. Also, matching grout color isn’t easy, and this method helps avoid that issue. Thank you for the question!
That is one of the most interesting videos I have seen on here. Obviously a perfectionist! I have never seen a tile restored like that before. Very inventive. Thanks for sharing
Hello! Cool! But there are cases when such tiles are no longer available for sale. Also, during dismantling, you can damage the adjacent tiles or damage the pipes of the warm floor.
I would give you 8. Not because of the quality and the result of your work (which is amazing) but for the silence of your presentation. Probably I'm wrong imagining that you are trying to teach instead of just showing off your abilities. Great work!
@@TheRestorerTIPS Digging a tile out of an improperly installed mortar bed is tedious and time consuming.Given the minor damage, your level of effort was appropriate.
that is amazing brilliant work. I have broken tiles in my bathroom and I have all the pieces but I don't know how to fix it. What you did is so cleaver. I am from Sydney Australia.
I say you did good. Usually if you can find any replacement tiles, you can grind them up for filler. Even from some out of view area can do if need be... Thumbs Up!
Great work!! I didn't know there are kits for repairing the cracks. It is good to know especially when not able to find a color match for the tiles you already have.
Having now watched both acrylic and tile repair, I have to agree with many commenters. The number of tools/items required, combined with the need for a good eye to determine which combination of colours and the ratios needed, means it is far wiser to look for a professional restorer to do the job. When I was younger I'd probably be daft enough to give it a bash myself in the hope to get it done cheaper, but obviously I'd be unlikely to get the same result.
Friends, if you have additional questions, write in the comments, I will try to answer.
Ah!... advertising... I would have started there!
I have a wodden stair that has been chewed by my dog. How do I restore that?
