Im sure he’s going to like it also, along with Nuclear Fusion, and Doom City. Open water is my personal favorite, and I feel like it’s ticking all his boxes on what he likes, especially the darkness of it.
I think this might be their most underrated song. The microtonal jazzy sound is just so sick. Btw for the next couple of songs, check if they have a KEXP version. Those are so good! The Melbourne 21 and Sydney 21 verions are also great. The microtonal albums don't have any really longs so you might want to do both studio and live anyway.
Hey man, I know some people are giving you some amount of shit for some reactions, I wanted to let you know that as a fan I appreciate your reactions a lot, and that you're allowed to have your own opinion on stuff!!! If you don't vibe with the same songs I do, that's fine, that's a common thing with KGLW fans, the fact that they put so much different music means everyone has a different favorite song for everything, which I think is what makes the community better!!! Rock on and have a great one!!!
agreed!! might be cool if he did the studio and then the heavy/fast Sydney '21 version for Open Water Open Water -Sydney '21: ua-cam.com/video/0Fh4Zf-133k/v-deo.htmlsi=gN8P4nQGFvJadD-r
I really prefer the studio version, however I still really wanna experience this live, gonna see them for the fifth time in September for their 3 hour marathon show, so here's hoping lol
Flying Microtonal Banana rush? That will be fun, and the fact that you even want to build your own microtonal guitar says how much you're into the microtonal stuff. And you have KG and LW for completing the whole ugly-ass guitar experience hahaha Open Water is an absolute banger tho ;)
I think it's worth sticking to listening to the studio and live versions. Apart from KEXP, which is my ideal for producing live performances, there is a lot of KGLW concert material on YT. Recently, material from the PALP Festival was released and the sound and image production is excellent. They play there, among others, 'Nuclear Fusion'.
KG is my favorite album period. I think you'll love it... especially the last song. I'm glad you can vibe with Rattlesnake... I wished you'd vibe the same way with the dripping tap
I think for me what really set rattlesnake for me over dripping tap is I love that “arabic” style sound with in rock/metal….I cant explain why I dig it so much, like its so exotic to my ears like a guilty pleasure haha
Surprised that it's not really been mentioned to you that KGLW are a very environmentally conscious band, its a common theme and this is one of several songs about climate change.
besides "Flying Microtonal Banana", "KG", and "LW" some microtonal stuff shows up on their albums "Sketches Of Brunswick East" and "Gumboot Soup" as well
I am a huge Gizzard fan and I have been seeing your videos recommended a ton. And you're really fucking awesome and entertaining to watch! hope you're having a great day man.
@@cobyward2878 yeaaaa theyve got so much material and different set ups…i mean ive only went thru petro, murder the universe, polygonwannland, nonagon infinity, ice death etc, omnium gatherum, the silver chord, FMB, KG and now Im working on LW here on the channel…still plenty of albums to go so yeaa a 3 hour marathon one could argue is short for them😁
Maaaaan I’m so stoked for you bro! This band is hard to not listen to after getting knee deep in. I will recommend I’m in your mind fuzz. That album is so dope and it’s one of theirs I’m always spinning on vinyl. I almost have all of their albums on vinyl. I’m such a damn nerd😂😂😂

i have a guitar built like theirs, set me back $800 for the luthier work, but sadly skimping on the guitar itself means its already got a maxed out truss rod so its a stinker now, but i did get to play using it in front of about 150 - 300 people for my high school talent show lol, playing that was the final exam for my music class
@@rockdariff with half the notes being twice as small, it was a hard thing to play the music accurately, since we weren't actually using any mircotones, but i did love how i could make really interesting sounds just by throwing in those weird quarter notes
This album only gets stronger from here on tbh, so pretty good that you liked the first two so much
Open Water is definitely one of my favorites. You're really gonna like that one.

Hell yes! I was at that Sydney concert. It was their microtonal tour after releasing KG and LW & after lockdown. Just after Eric left the band.

Oh I was wondering why this video was so long. Love the love reactions!
Rattlesnake: is King Gizzard's most repetitive song.
Trapdoor enters the conversation.
tbf, Trapdoor is only like 2 and a half minutes, Rattlesnake is 8 minutes
K.G & L.W. are awesome albums and you‘re gonna love them. Do them next you wont regret it. This album is cool but it will get even better.
This was my first Gizz album that i got on vinyl! :D

@@rockdariff you'll absolutely love the last track on the album LW called KGLW then. It's wierd and heavy AF.
Also the last track on this album nothing more Arabic sounding than that.
I love all the microtonal albums so much, based on your reactions so far you're gonna dig the fuck out of the rest of these.
Really enjoying your minutia on these vids tho. Look forward to them.

You need to listen to I’m in your mind Fuzz! Amazing amazing album!
I also hate it when songs fade out while the band is still jamming!
If you like minor key stuff, microtonal stuff is like... extreme minor key lol!
Prediction.
I think volumes 1,2,3
( F M B, KG, LW) together will be your number two once you get through them.
We need to all come together and get our guy UA-cam premium 😂
you gotta do sleep drifter from kexp and nuclear fusion from sydney 21
I think open water has a kexp version that’s good
