100% View Crew, something I have not even dreamt of trying, seen spoons all my life, know they work, just never was interested ! but thanks for the video Hank, maybe someday .
Hey Hank, I remember last yr we were talking about spoons & wraps. Yep, they work. I love old school lures. People don’t talk about these, or the old inline Mepps. Man they catch fish. It’s nice to have the latest & greatest & there’s nothing wrong with that, but hey these old school lures have been around for a long time for a good reason. Love’um!!! #100percentwatchsquad👊
I dont throw a spoon much due to the bait size here locally but I have thrown one and not had much luck but that may be because I didnt give it a real chance to work... I love these videos because you not only tell about the baits but you also show us how to use them.. Keep the videos coming.. #100watchsquad
Hey Hank, I watched your video 2 times. What you said makes perfect sense! On the smaller spoons! I watched a video last year, went and bought those big honkin spoons, swivels, ect. And threw that thing repeatedly and the only thing i got was a stupid sore shoulder!! My hubby has the smaller spoons so, I'll eat some crow, 🤣 ( he told me i was waisting my money) put on his smaller ones, and hopefully out fish him this Sunday, at the bass tournament!! Thank you for the tips! #100percentwatchsquad
#100percentwatchsquad I don't get to fish a spoon as much as I'd like to, but I always have a few in the tackle box just in case I can break them out. They work in 5 foot of water all the way to 100 feet.
Hank this is definitely the one lure ive never had any luck with. I have a few of them just absolutely no confidence in them brother 🎣🔥 #100percentwatchsquad
I know this is an older video but curious to know your thoughts on adding a stinger hook! I super recently started throwing flutter spoons. The first time out i hammered them. I caught 6 in an hour trip and if them 2 had the stinger in the mouth. The next time out i didnt catch anything!
@BassGeek that helps a decent amount!!! I do my stingers so that they are free sliding above the spoon with a bobber stop like an inch and a half above! I feel like for the big spoons it's worth it but am going to play around with not using them on the lake forks
Growing up on herring lakes a spoon was like the bait/rod set that you never left behind after June 1st! I mean, even on the toughest days a 4” spoon would put five 14” spots in the boat and on decent days a 6.5” herring special 20+ This is the bait that the local hammer throws in July and everyone has no idea how he caught those fish 2 days in a row. We all have the tendency to make it too complicated for a simple bait to work.
Nice information. What if they are not on the bottom but suspended out n open water like from surface down to 15/20 feet deep. Will the flutter work then

Man they are incredible.

Yes they have!
Thanks Hank. I need to use a spoon more often. It seems to get forgot about by me. I think I’ll lead with one this Saturday. #100%Watchsquad.
This time of year it's always on my deck.
Love the spoons by Strike King, and Nichols. Thanks for the video Hank. #100percentwatchsquad ✌️😎🎣
Yup good stuff
Check out St. Pete's Sport fishing flutter spoons, they are hot!
Appreciate your spoon insights. Something I want to work on from my Kayak when I get setup. Great work Hank
It’s a great bait this time of year. Just don’t want everyone thinking they have to use the giant spoons all the time

Heck yeah thank you!
Great video as always! I've never had any luck with spoons. My old man used them all the time and rocked the bass.
It's sure flutter spoon season.
Love the spoon, all of them 👍🏻.. They can load the boat with crappie and white bass as well. Just use the size needed 😮 great video
Heck yeah they can bass also.
My confidence bait last summer. I haven't done too well so far this yr, but you should warn how addictive the bite is.
It's crazy addictive. I love it.

Hahaha yeah those smaller ones will catch more. Now let’s say I’m on a lake that has a lot of big gizzard shad the big spoon is the deal.

Yes sir they do!

Down size!
It is unbelievable how they react to that chunk of metal comin through the water 1 of most overlooked things in bass fishing
Good stuff, thanks for sharing Hank
Thanks Rich! It's good to have ya around.

I do like a stinger they help hookups but they do hurt action some. So I just fly by the seat of my pants on'em. Sorry I know that's not much help.

That's how I rig mine most of the time.
Great info Hank. Sometime the tried and true is better than new and improved. Hundo watcher.
Yes sir.

#100percentwatchsquad Hank, do the spoons also work on other fish besides bass? Just curious. Thanks
Yes they do.
Have yet to throw spoons, besides on a spinner baits or something and I know they'll snag em!! Thanks for the tips Hank #100percentwatchsquad
Man they fire them up
Nice information. What if they are not on the bottom but suspended out n open water like from surface down to 15/20 feet deep. Will the flutter work then
That’s how I use it most the time. I use it for suspended bass mostly
@@BassGeek thanks man I will try it and get back with you
