Never stops trying to sell. Never fishes uncharted fish, never makes a blind cast, never doesn’t wait til he finds one on livescope before rolling the cameras and more times than not not even catching that fish.. I love the guy he’s down to earth. But this subliminal marketing to the naive is painful to watch as a avid angler who uses ZERO electronics and can guarantee I have a high success rate than most of these “utubers” @ADKyakman, check out the shorts I just started a channel I have a lot of content to sipher through but you’ll see 3,4,5,6lb river smallmouth from upstate ny being hooked and landed day after day with zero electronics and just knowledge of how the river and local lakes are set up, from countless days on the water surveying with my eyes alone, i think people much rather see fish be caught in that manner….not click on something to try and have something sold to them. EVERYBODY is doing it and it’s a cancer to the sport
Nikko makes the best baits out there. If you fish ribbed swimbaits, the Winnow is awesome. It is great at very slow retrieves and fast retrieves as well. I think that triangular cross section and soft material do it. I personally have more luck with exposed hooks on heads like in this video. I know a lot of guys use underspins and belly weighted hooks with success as well. This bait floats, btw. Once you get the hang of it, you'll probably be sticking with Nikko. The cost is peanuts when you can go probably a hundred catches on one bait.
Hank i love how you go into details on how to use the lures your talking about. You rock and thank you for another great video. Keep on rockin us brother 🎣🔥 #100percentwatchsquad
#100percentwatchsquad baby! For me, I'm using a swim jig with a soft plastic swimbait like a Keitech or a rage swimmer. Even in the winter, I have to navigate piles of shallow vegetation. A lot of times I take the skirt off and just use the swim jig as my swimbait head. That is a money technique when the water is cold!
hi Hank, i’m gonna have to try some of those Nikko swimbaits. They are expensive, but like you said, that material like zman, will last thru many many fish!!
Thanks Hank, always appreciate you thinking about the bank anglers! Solid tips for color, hook sets, and combinations! Does Nikko make a floating plastic?
Cant beat a paddle tail! Those baits look great! Love their Hellgrammites too! For Fall I like a Shakey head or Dropshot or for all year for that matter😂 #100percentwatchsquad
Nikko super ned in the fushion color is quite possibly my all time favorite fish catcher. I have caught close to a 100 smallmouths on a single bait and I literally still have it tied on as we speak 😂. Incredible company and yes everything they make is top notch. #100%watchsquad #Hankforthewin
My go to bait when its tough is always a Ned Rig, all times of year. For the swimbaits, what's the smallest you go with them? That Winnow is comparable to a 3.8" Keitech (I think). Do you ever go down to the 3.3 or 2.8 sizes?
#100%watchsquad Thanks Hank another good video. This bait looks like it is made with the same stuff that Z Man is if so it does not play well with other plastic so this is a FYI
I haven’t even watched the video yet but if Bass Geek says there is a guaranteed fish catch’n bait, I’m going to go throw my tackle box in the can and just carry the fish catcher with me. Then I’ll watch the video. Trust the BG!!!
Well I don't like to generalize things so NOT everything is the same. I know I've tossed a grub and got no bites and several types of swimbaits until I find the one that works.
@@BassGeek definitely. The long list swim jigs, under spins, spinners, texas rig small worms, A-rig, poopers, spooks... Whatever it takes to get a bite.
You seen the action you still get the head roll with a ned. There's ALL Kinds of pluses with the tungsten. Bigger weight smaller head, you can see it better on FFS etc. Now other than that you can us it on the bottom and it will stan up better. It will drag across the bottom and stay up better. In clear water the black or green matches the baits and have less shine than other heads.
@@BassGeek the first underspin I used was dirty jigs but sadly lost it to some wood. I want to get another one but from tackle warehouse it’s almost 16 dollars for 1 underspin. Featuring your other video you made about 2 weeks ago. I picked up some regular jig heads but it’s not the same. I need to try the Ned but I really want the dirty jig underspin but too expensive for 1 with shipping price included
@@aaronq19A lot of the time you can get bit on the initial drop, and with the ned on there its easy to replicate that falling action multiple times on the same cast by just reeling it up closer to the surface and then just letting it fall back down there. I've done very well doing that with a ned on a 2.8 inch keitech swimmer
@@zipzapzoom111 definitely need to try this then a straight retrieve and a lift like you mentioned thank you so much. New bass angler here current pb is a 1 pounder but hey I’m barely getting started
2 reasons I’ll not be using those NIKKO Swimbaits again: 1) they melt, ruined other lures in my box & 2) very very difficult to get hooks into! Be advised!
That’s why you DON’T store any elaztech style baits in anything but their bags. They are tough to get a hook in. Never seen a bait so soft yet so tough. Both good qualities if ya ask me
Lol I love it when guys say that. I mean if ya fishing shallow ponds sure it will but come fish the lakes I do and let me watch… I think I can change ya mind
COME ON GEEK! 🤦♂️ …nikko makes excellent Ned baits as well, I have great success with their craw imitators all season long on the river for giant smallies. The berkley halfhead is a great jig head to throw a swimbait on for its Ned head /swim head attributes and you get 6 for a few bucks if anyone’s looking for a great swimbait jig. But these shad imitators kinda look like a crème screamer and keitech had a baby. The shape and the softness of the plastic reminds me of a creme screamer, a two dollar bait, and a keitech, a 6 dollar bait..neat..i think most swim baits catch ‘em- if presented right the maker or brand doesn’t mean a thing, I know you gotta do your thing and promote, but can SOMEONE just state the facts instead of trying to sell this or that, that any bait no matter the brand of presented to a fish, will get bites. The utube content from steady utubers and pro anglers having to make content to sell a brand is becoming overwhelming and confusing the everyday angler, when it’s alll about dollar signs to you, and whoever’s paying you, and whoever’s paying them…maybe you could actually fish in some of your videos instead of dropping a bait on a fish’s head after scoping all day just to shoot a video. I’ve seen you struggle even with livescope, that’s the magic of fishing though and nothing wrong with it, but I think majority would agree to want to see fish being caught on ANY lure, without electronics and marketing involved. 🤦♂️
First NOT every marker is the same. I’ve used most all them and they tend to make a green color mor than a chartreuse or yellowish make on most soft plastics. If I wanted F’n green I would buy a green marker. This is the only one other than a sharpie, that does not. Second complaining about a promo is like going to a restaurant that you don’t have to pay for and not tipping the server. We are talking about FREE information the same information that you would have paid for just 10yrs ago. Because the only way to get it was BASS magazine or FLW or some TV show. Which had commercials. Then we have to talk about ALLLLLLLLL the companies that get FREEEEEEEE advertising from me because of ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL the baits, Rods, reels, etc., etc. that I use, CATCH fish with and people buy. So have you went to their UA-cam channel and voiced how you think they should give their gear away? How much money do you think I’ve made mega bass or strike king or rapala or seaguar, or etc, etc, etc? A lot more than I make from a marker ad… Forgive me for trying to live the dream you would love to live but aren’t willing to make the sacrifices necessary to do so. LAST I said swimbaits were a where the not just the Nikko. You read into it what you thought. As for the live scope I have 200 fishing videos watch, don’t ASS-U-Me
