I lost a Firestick remote which was never recovered, they are so small so what I found which was invaluable is I got velcro that has sticky tape on it. It works so well! I can even remove the tape and it doesn't leave a residue on surfaces. Got it on Amazon pretty cheap. Now all my remotes are attached to the table next to my chair and I haven't lost one since.
this is another reason why are screen is awesome and why these Amazon sticks are so great because not only are they more powerful than some tablets relationship maybe five or even stuff that was released just a few years ago but streaming to these devices makes it so wonderful especially when you have a projector in your setting it outside

It's close. The Fire TV Sticks have less features in some cases vs the Fire TVs themselves. The Omni series usually is closer to a Fire TV Cube (the top), while the 4 series is more like a Fire TV Stick.

Us old school folks have to deal with our old theatre sound systems. Personally, I am stuck with my old speakers that each contain one 15" woofer, 2 mid-range dome drivers, and 4 dome tweeters. So we have to deal with things like floors shaking, and the jumping out of ones seat when action movies suddenly go into audio shock the heck out of you mode. Yep, it is tough for us old fogies. I built those speakers back in 1976.
Thinking about this set up too, I wanted to ask, can I put the Echos at the back of the living room so have sound playing from them and the TV? Would it sync properly or would there be a delay?

at 5:40 when you setup Alexa Notifications, if you don't have Smart Dry or another Skill that generates a notification, you can install the developer skill "Quote Maker" to see what they look like

Hey Brian, a very brilliant video. Had a quick question. How to use the voice assistant (Alexa on the phone) to give commands to the Fire Stick / TV ? (instead of opening up the Fire TV app on the phone or press+hold the voice button on the Fire Stick remote)?
So if you have an Android you can do that! Just use the name of your TV and there are a few commands you can give. Not everything! Don't expect the moon. I think this is just the way you'll find a few Bluetooth devices. In fact, I don't have anything that stays connected myself now that I think about it... You shouldn't have to pair, but maybe yes, click on the item in Bluetooth settings to get it to re-pair.
I've been using Tinycam pro for many years, great product. When I have a new model camera, I contacted them to give them access so they can add it as an option.

Many of them are about 10 year old PTZ cameras I got back in the day. it's amazing how much I paid then, versus how much the new ones are that are so much better. Progress I guess!
Sorry Junior. Is that a specific brand? Or just WIFI cameras in general. If it's just WiFi cameras in general, then you just add them through the Alexa app! Go there, go to devices, hit the plus and add a device, and try to add your brand.

Great video!!! I'm just having problems running the Bell Fibe tv app. I can see recording but to watch the channels it doesn't work. Called amazon they said bell problem blocked the apt. Don't get why I can watch it off my computer but not the fire stick.
Oh that's definitely something I'd talk to Bell about. I had a similar problem with Telus and they ended up sending me an Apple TV box...lol. Cause like...if I can't watch it, why am I subscribed?!
I went a step farther. Got rid of bell fibe, got rid of Netflix cause if you really get into firestick you find out you can get every thing for free. That includes Amazon prime stiff, HBO, Disney etc etc.
My fire remote seems to kill the batteries fast. I also have to open the remote and spin them to get it to work much to often. I just resort to using my iphone or ipad apps for remote control. Should I call amazon for a replacement? It is the gen two fireStick.

Is there a way to display more than 4 (maybe.. 8? 10? 12?) network cameras at once, on the Fire TV Stick? Tinycam Pro seems to have a limit of 4, if I am not mistaken
I've only really used TinyCam Pro so far. Nothing else seems to work with as many products so...you're going to be limited to what they have. But the number is 16 I believe.

Yeah so you should be able to find them on the app store on your fire stick! Lots of free games are there now, and a few paid. The remote works for many of them, but you can also just get a Bluetooth controller and pair it!

Be nice, for sound set up, if you could demonstrate how to set up and connect your TV service provider set top device. Major headache to have to change HDMI output to get to fire device. Nice if Fire could just mange all.
Automate Your Life I verified that the CEC was set to on, which it was. In setting, curiosity got the cat so I scrolled to Manage My Equipment. I scrolled down to DVR, which my ISP/TV provider Switch Box is, followed the instruction and BINGO. I can now turn operate my TV and Five Stick with Alexa and Fire TV remote. Never a dumb question is there?

With Blink, you should be able to just ask to bring up any of the cameras. However, TinyCam Pro is the name of the app and you should be able to find it by searching Tiny or TinyCam. Maybe it's gone now...but I still have it!
I got a Firestick TV....Imbtv works great streaming movies....every other app will NOT stream anything...it brings up the movie and then the timer works but no movie, no sound, no nothing! Can you advise what CV you think the problem is?

Do you know how to get rid on the vignette that the firetv puts on the blink camera feed? When I watch my blink outdoor camera it has a darker border around the edges top and bottom.
I side loaded the app for SCW camera system using the -g flag thru my laptop. With an orientation app now I am able to use an old firestick as my NVR display.
@@AutomateYourLife One of the few video surveillance systems not ban by the NDAA due to privacy concerns over Chinese cameras. I am sure it would work with other brands like night owl, lorex, etc.
My point is that you are right. These firesticks have a lot of potential. As far as having problems with sideloads. If you have an Amazon firetv with OS 6, you must ad the -g flag to make it work if it needs permissions (sideloading with a PC). Having an orientation apk will fix most display problems. A Bluetooth keyboard/mouse will make it easy to control.
At 5:30 you described the home theatre setup. I have been using this to aid persons with hearing difficulties as it puts a speaker next to the seat verses 8-12 feet away. The Amazon Bluetooth A/V tracking sync feature is pretty neat
Sorry AutomateYourLife, I don't know how I erase the rest of the message, here it is: I just purchased the Amazon Fire Stick 3rd GEN that I connected to a regular tv in the HDMI 1; that tv is connected to an OTA digital antenna but I cannot watch those antenna channels within the Fire Stick, I have to use my tv remote to switch inputs from HDMI 1 to Antenna and use the tv remote to view the channels, is there a way to solve that problem? As a estrange note, I also purchased a smart LG Fire Tv that I connected to the OTA digital antenna as well, and in that one I am able to go to “Settings”, “Input” and select “Antenna”, it did scan for channels and now, when I press the TV CHANNELS button in that remote, it makes available the antenna channels plus others from Tubi, Pluto, etc. Do you think that the 3rd GEN doesn’t offer that capability ??? Thank you.

I think it'll be OK. I don't know your TV, but I have an older plasma and haven't seen the burn in occur. The pictures move fast enough.

Hey I got a question for you I've got a Toshiba Fire TV smart TV for 3L f421 u19 it was made in 2018 of October I'm having an issue with the sleep app on the TV it keeps shutting off and then he has a hard time getting it back to Xfinity what is your answer Obi-Wan Kenobi!!?? This guy has got memory issues and I've been trying to fix his system it keeps shutting off and I don't know how to get to the settings on the TV can you make a video about that, I don't have a manual for the TV where can I download the manual or if you got a quick fix I would really appreciate it thanks for all your help.

Is there a way to display more than 4 (maybe.. 8? 10? 12?) network cameras at once, on the Fire TV Stick?
Tinycam Pro seems to have a limit of 4, if I am not mistaken
I've only really used TinyCam Pro so far. Nothing else seems to work with as many products so...you're going to be limited to what they have. But the number is 16 I believe.

Yeah so you should be able to find them on the app store on your fire stick! Lots of free games are there now, and a few paid. The remote works for many of them, but you can also just get a Bluetooth controller and pair it!

Be nice, for sound set up, if you could demonstrate how to set up and connect your TV service provider set top device. Major headache to have to change HDMI output to get to fire device. Nice if Fire could just mange all.
Actually, there's a voice command for that! Make sure the CEC setting is on and you can get Alexa to switch for you!
Automate Your Life I verified that the CEC was set to on, which it was. In setting, curiosity got the cat so I scrolled to Manage My Equipment. I scrolled down to DVR, which my ISP/TV provider Switch Box is, followed the instruction and BINGO. I can now turn operate my TV and Five Stick with Alexa and Fire TV remote. Never a dumb question is there?

A Fire TV Cube can have a webcam attached to it and then you can call them using the Fire TV Cube. :)

With Blink, you should be able to just ask to bring up any of the cameras. However, TinyCam Pro is the name of the app and you should be able to find it by searching Tiny or TinyCam. Maybe it's gone now...but I still have it!
If it's gone, then you may want to try sideloading it.

I got a Firestick TV....Imbtv works great streaming movies....every other app will NOT stream anything...it brings up the movie and then the timer works but no movie, no sound, no nothing! Can you advise what CV you think the problem is?

I don't have a EufyCam 2C in order to give you an exact yes or no with that camera. I can tell you my Eufy doorbell is still working as of today.
Do you know how to get rid on the vignette that the firetv puts on the blink camera feed? When I watch my blink outdoor camera it has a darker border around the edges top and bottom.

I side loaded the app for SCW camera system using the -g flag thru my laptop. With an orientation app now I am able to use an old firestick as my NVR display.

@@AutomateYourLife One of the few video surveillance systems not ban by the NDAA due to privacy concerns over Chinese cameras. I am sure it would work with other brands like night owl, lorex, etc.
My point is that you are right. These firesticks have a lot of potential. As far as having problems with sideloads. If you have an Amazon firetv with OS 6, you must ad the -g flag to make it work if it needs permissions (sideloading with a PC). Having an orientation apk will fix most display problems. A Bluetooth keyboard/mouse will make it easy to control.
At 5:30 you described the home theatre setup. I have been using this to aid persons with hearing difficulties as it puts a speaker next to the seat verses 8-12 feet away. The Amazon Bluetooth A/V tracking sync feature is pretty neat

Sorry AutomateYourLife, I don't know how I erase the rest of the message, here it is: I just purchased the Amazon Fire Stick 3rd GEN that I connected to a regular tv in the HDMI 1; that tv is connected to an OTA digital antenna but I cannot watch those antenna channels within the Fire Stick, I have to use my tv remote to switch inputs from HDMI 1 to Antenna and use the tv remote to view the channels, is there a way to solve that problem? As a estrange note, I also purchased a smart LG Fire Tv that I connected to the OTA digital antenna as well, and in that one I am able to go to “Settings”, “Input” and select “Antenna”, it did scan for channels and now, when I press the TV CHANNELS button in that remote, it makes available the antenna channels plus others from Tubi, Pluto, etc. Do you think that the 3rd GEN doesn’t offer that capability ??? Thank you.
