Every app on any stick, is stealing, or at least making you agree to use, your personal information. Some side loaded apps might be "much" worse, yes, but its safe to think that all of the apps are guilty, including Amazon and Android.
Fire Stick (or TV) is just about useless. Limited memory, slow response (unless you buy the latest, more expensive versions), far too Amazon focused (i.e. not a user friendly to other apps). I had just a few apps loaded and I ran out of memory. I prefer my Roku's. The Walmart Onn google TV streamer for $20 is a very close 2nd, almost tied w/Roku.

I really like my VSee oro 2. Thinking of getting SuperBox Elite. More bang for yr buck
Superbox Elite & SE Ultra is the way to go if you want anything related to Android.
I had fire-TV sticks but recently binned them due to the adds and constant updates changing things. I don't have the patience to fiddle with them, just want to turn on and use it.
Kodi is almost as bad, so bought an android box. No problems.
You tube is bad for ads ☹️
I stopped using Amazon Prime when they started adding advertising.
Amazon Prime Video content is getting extremely 'long in the tooth' anyway.
Every app on any stick, is stealing, or at least making you agree to use, your personal information. Some side loaded apps might be "much" worse, yes, but its safe to think that all of the apps are guilty, including Amazon and Android.
Welp this made me want to buy another fire stick
Can’t get the Onn box in Canada
Yea, I wish they would bring them to Canada.
I don’t pay for shit lil buster all mines free 😂😂
Fire Stick (or TV) is just about useless. Limited memory, slow response (unless you buy the latest, more expensive versions), far too Amazon focused (i.e. not a user friendly to other apps). I had just a few apps loaded and I ran out of memory. I prefer my Roku's. The Walmart Onn google TV streamer for $20 is a very close 2nd, almost tied w/Roku.
Turn off play protect on Google tv or android tv is must
Its there ways too block shit too
@@DonaldDnicefromtwitcH this has put me on fence with getting the shield to replace Amazon cubes , at £200 I don’t want to buy something only to not be able to side load my stuff , can you clarify if shield a good option thank you
Term 3rd party apps, better then side loading or cracked for sure,
You are now the best on us developers
Us programmers
I’d rather have ads than pay $$$$!
I'm still using Wolf Launcher with no issues... yet.
Doing the same. Wolf launcher still works with ACCESSIBILITY MANAGER and BUTTON MAPPER on both fire tv max and fire cube.
Using wolf launcher for 3 yrs.....🔥🔥🔥🔥
I still use it and it works ok for now
I still use Wolf Launcher with no problems as of yet
I hate Prime. I was watching Adam -12, Miami Vice, and The Fall Guy. Now those old shows are no longer free, now you have to pay!!! 😠
I would love to have a 2nd option, I use a firestick for years… what does a shield exactly Do, apps, apk… what does it Do
The same things a fire cube does with a better interface, a shitty voice assistant (reminds me of Roku where it has no app integration and searches the appstore everytime you use it), and better hardware. But a shield can act like a game console too.
So what's gonna happen with Amazon Fire TV's, like I have, when this new OS launches???
Yes that's why I use Mecool android boxes and they r priced right and work as good as my nivida shield . I would tell you to he a mecool over any other box
a dumb house is very smart
I don't think I'll be buying a Roku TV. Please see the patent "HDMI customized ad insertion" for why. The current version of Fire TV works pretty well with Home Assistant but that uses ADB so I may be out when they change. I plan on Android or a cheap computer to replace my FireTV stuff when the time comes. Ad's are getting bad so I may start to block the ads on my Fire TV's with a DNS sink.
Complaining about Amazon ad's while inserting his own ad is irony to say the least. Plus most people should know that you can turn off Amazon Ad's on your Firestick's!
So Amazon is flooding then with ads
I did it long time ago, I was frustrated with those lower kind of Streaming Devices, was terrible and decided to give away.
My television has google and that’s where I used my apps? I can’t find cinema on it. I don’t know if it’s a different name now by using my google apps
I've stop using fire sticks over 5yrs ago, I now have been using, most android devices are very similar.
I have always enjoyed Roku but now video ads are on the way. So I'm holding off on buying the new pro remote with backlit keys until I see how bad it is on Roku UI 😬
There's a bunch of contradiction going on here.
Been did this amazon getting no more money from me
I stopped a month ago. I have 4 Onn4k on my TV's. I sideload with no problem
great budget option
I was quite impressed by that $20 4K streamer, even bought a 2nd one.
Same here. I bought one and was surprised how responsive it was and how well it worked. Decided to grab another one. I'm also setting one up for my dad since they're pretty simple to use with a custom launcher.
I have firesticks and I don't see or have any problems. My ads are a thing of the past, you can restrict ads at any time. Except his in the video.
Ive got one in a drawer somewhere. Never used it. I'll stick with my $30 android boxes.
I ditched fire tv for a Chromebox. Much faster and easier to operate.
I love my Firesticks. Never had any problems. I love Amazon.
fire device because I watch movies yes it has adds on the home screen of movies and my fire tv cube 3 generations been working like cable for years
Google tv has lots of ads also
And the chromecast 4k cant really play 4k, i needed to send it back 🙄
I have Apple TV’s hooked up to every TV in the house and a Chromecast with Google TV for travel. The device performance and usability is night and day with the Apple TV being the best. I think for most the whole smart home integration has started to lose its luster. I really only use it for turning lights and TVs on/off. If you own an iPhone it’s a no brainer to go with an Apple TV. I
My Apple TK 4k opened my eyes to the amount of ads I was seeing on FireStick. It really is a stellar device and allowed me to start using HomeKit. It also never seems slow or runs out of RAM.
I mostly have stopped using FireStick except on a couple of small screen TVs.
There is a youtube tv reviewer very well known who is supporting the use of apple tv as the interface for setting tv specs works great. That reviewer is against inferior streaming that is free but looks bad on qled and oledtvs.
Thinking of the NEW Buzztv x6 coming out on April 15. Any thoughts on that unit anyone?
It should be good as Buzztv devices are good options.
Depends on price
stupidly overpriced from what i heard $399
@@iamrage4753 that is way too much
Google did that with app warnings then removes them
I have the firestick but I canceled Amazon prime, I’ll watch this to see alternative
But you are selling a service to support the device you are telling everyone you are getting rid of 😂!!!
hahaha yes I did write and work on an Ebook. Lots of people will still keep theirs, it doesn't mean I wont create content still
Agreed....unsubscribed
I been sick of firestick just use tivo i like the original android os.
Would this not be an ad for Google?
not really
I got rid of mine and replaced it with a Virgin 360. I’m in the uk so yea
7:40 ecosystem
I've had fire TV devices for years just because it's affordable but I had enough of ads and system lag.
Nvidia shield all the way bro. You can't go wrong.
What’s nvidia shield?
I switched to the onn tv stick today. Im sick of amazon.
