It is odd for almost a half million subscribers. I remember many more in less time when I subscribed under 30k. You Tube seems to be cracking down on educational videos like they want everyone dumb.
@@ianellithorpe5918you nailed it. I was gaining traction on TikTok the past couple years and was up to 150k followers, then last summer I made a video talking about faith and making decisions based on what The Bible said. Within the next two weeks they muted it and I haven’t had a video go over 50k views since, when the month before I had one hit 12 million, and the average was about 150-175k views.
Rumor is that those flywheels only have 18 degrees of timing. It’d be interesting to see it dynoed again with 12 degrees of advance. A max length rod and/or a bit of a head shave would be interesting as well.
He is either forgetting to mention it, or has a reason he will tell us later I would think. That is usually how it goes here, neither way is a bad thing.
thank you for making this video now I have a even beater way between this and Jose's motor I know what I'm going to get and I might post videos of me riding it :)
Great series on this Coleman. With all the tools you have, I am seriously surprised that you don't have a small HF hydraulic press. It would have made light work of those bushings.
Patiently waiting for part 2 lol I wanna see the 196 fully built on a Dyno. Unless ive missed it done in one of your videos…I’ve got my 196cc hurricane 200x fully built and she rips. It would be nice to know roughly how much power she puts out by comparing my set up to yours.
At time stamp 16:25, there is a lot of ridges around the tops of the valve seats and spark plug in the head. This should be cut down to make a smooth transition to the upper combustion chamber surface.
Great video. Love the before and after. Keep up the good work. Used your name when I ordered some EC carb stuff/ wc946 head. (Be cool to see a Dyno of before and after with that head 😊 )
Hey RB those rubber bushings are just fine if you put a chain tensioner on the bike the way minibikes are made sucks every time the swingarm moves up it tightens the chain adjustment to the point of tearing things up !!!
been a while since they said it, as far as i can remember, but i think greg is somewhere around 300ish, and lonnie is like 160ish. again, been a while since they said where i can recall, but it seems like those were close. obviously give or take a pretty good margin, but at least an estimate.
Hey red have you heard of Paul's karts? What are your feelings on welding and shaving heads and adding big valves... Would be cool to see you put one of his heads and blocks to the test 👍🏼✌🏼
I have an old Baja Warrior. I would love to see how you would convert it to a rear swing arm and disc brakes! It has a Predator 212 with a carb jet, air cleaner and header I made. What parts would fit? I would really like the cast flywheel and rod.
Hey guys love the videos! I went out and bought the RSV just because of your videos! I also just bought your 2-inch lift kit! Can't wait! Will the exhaust be back in stock soon? says pre-order but won't let purchase! What ideas do you have for the gas tank? I've been holding off on one to see what you come up with! Thanks for the great ideas, inspiration, and awesome videos!
We haven't had a chance to work on those. I removed it from our website for now. It will have to be a custom made header. You could check with F&B to see if he could help you. Sorry for the inconvenience. We appreciate your support!
I completely disagree that valve spring and flywheel are bear minimum. Rod will go before flywheel and values springs aren't a huge deal. They will just work as a fallback governor and flutter. Conrod on the other hand, those things go first.
Did that rod bring piston up closer to deck? Seems like you skipped a chance to gain compression with a thin head gasket, longer rod, or flat top piston or a combo of some sort. Seems like a good bike. I'd love to try different rubber types in motor plate and see if i could reduce vibes... Does Coleman still use a small output shaft?
some valve trains wont allow for a thinner gasket, because of how much room you have to adjust the lash on the push rods for the valves. if you dont order custom rods, you may not be able to get a thinner gasket, cuz the rods would be meant for a longer setup, and would possibly open the valves up too much, or not let them close all the way. with custom rods, go ahead and shave that head down!
I'd agree more if he was going for higher output - but I follow. Could of snuck a flat top in or + .020" rod or similar if buying a rod anyway. those 2 wouldn't mess with geometry I believe. Looking back I think he has a thinner gasket. I just set pushrod length so at 1/2 valve travel I have rocker square to stem. Idea being it's easier on pushrods, rockers and stems
That's right. Last year I built my 7 year old Hisun 196. Plus 20 rod, flat top, and 10 thou head gasket. Piston was 20 in the hole so it worked out well. With a 265 cam and Champion rockers it should have a bit more power than his build here. Coleman no longer uses the Hisun 196 with the 16mm crankshaft. The last Coleman model that had it was the BT200. A 3/4" crank was a part of my build. I had an extra.
His 196 would have got more power with 32 degree timing and a VM22 clone carb. With the 5 degree key he used it had 23-25 degree timing. And all 196 builds should get a plus 20 rod and a flat top piston when using the stock head.
This is awesome ! I just got a B200RSV and would like to do the same as you did here but go up to the billet fly wheel . Will the extra timing be ok for this build ? Also ; where can I get that header for the Colman B200RSV ? Do you offer these with the muffler ? That is a sweet sounding and good looking exhaust system ! Love what you do and will be following this build as you go on to the next step !
When porting the head, did you have to do anything special to the valve guides after grinding them down level inside the ports? Im trying to get info on porting so I can do a good job on my heads.
do you have a video of how you hooked up the governor control arm back? mine isn't snapping back to bring the idle back to normal. i have a video. need some help
I just got one of these bikes. I was curious if your bone stock engine had extreme vibration? My vision blurred, it was so bad. Apparently some other B200RSV owners are commenting on this on the forums. Like a batch of bad engines or something. I got frustrated, and got a 212 Hemi for it today. The good news is, all the 196 tins fit! Sleeper. Bad news is, still don't know why the 196 vibrates so bad. I have a theory that the lighting coil magnets have something to do with it. Or maybe a poorly balanced crank. I'll be installing the Hemi and riding it tomorrow to see if it's "fixed." For the 196, I have an old non-Hemi 212 crank, rod, and flywheel I'm going to install to make it a poor mans stroker. It'll be my experiment engine that I'll eventually use on my racing mower, instead of scrapping it. Only has an hour on it.
Im looking for a mini bike and now im torn between this and the trailmaster hurricane. Im 6'5 250lbs. And want the largest bike i can get. This with the lift looks great. But what would you recommend?
Just ordered it. Im going to do the 12" shicks. What chain tensioner do you recommend if any? Also should i do stage one setup or just ride it and go straight to a larger motor without modding the stock motor. Also. When will you start building motors i think we are all patiently waiting lol@@RedBeardsGarage
Save and get a Wildcat 223 or a Ducar 224. I have built 196's that have nice power. But they don't have the torque that my 224 has. Like he said in the video the bigger engines are a better starting point.
Would u ship a stage 4 it can be one you already have as long as it nots used more then a test and ill pay for it that is built already if you wouldnt mind im kind of lazy.
Can some one help I got the same engine I have 18 pound springs exhaust aluminum flywheel removed the governor and it has the vm22 I changed out the 95 jet to a 115 jet it’s dies when I pull the throttle i tried adjusting the air screw and no luck
Have you changed the position of the e clip on the needle? If it's in the middle position (#3) move it down to number 4 then test. If it's still not right move it to the 5th position. Do not give up! These carbs work well even on a stock 196 with a header pipe. My stock 196 liked a 120 main jet and my built 196 liked a 125 main. Also. If you have a cone style air filter do a short test ride with the filter off. If there is a difference throw away that filter and get a foam type filter, then tune.
Wildcat or one of the other strokers is the best idea these days. EDIT: Does EC make a bare Wildcat block with no governor holes in it? I built the red stroker now I need a black one haha I put that flywheel in my Ducar 224, I didn't plan on spinning that one over 6500(I'm looking for torque not speed) or so anyway. Rated for 8500 if i remember correctly and has 18 degrees of timing. IMO it should be fine for what I am doing, yet I tend to think I will upgrade to billet in the end anyway just because it is so much tougher and more likely to be cast well. Plus billet just has that bling factor to it. Haha
I swear to this day. I do not understand, why you have so little likes. Well, God bless RBG!
agreed. he's one of the absolute best fabbers out there, and they go on some great trail rides testing out the builds.

Nice to see their potential.
yeah pretty perky little engine when you toss a couple simple parts at it. really wants to lift that front tire!
Sweet build Greg.
I would have liked to see top speed runs to compare to stock and further builds.
Where’s the link for tires
Nice build I just got mine done with a gx160 Honda ported head champion rockers billet rod plv flywheel mod2 camand a 22mm flat slide carb
The transformation on this bike has been awesome. Nice work! Of course, this model and mods comes after i got my mb200-2 how i wanted it. Lol
Lonnie blew you away, haha!
lonnie comes pre-equipped with weight reduction! haha

wow 10+ pounds of torque right in the middle of the rev band, that's going to be a perky motor to play with!

How many hours do you normally see out of a plastic gear before they fail? I'll have to check the cam in my old Princess Auto engine.
The plastic cam gear is fine with stock springs and limited RPM. You just don't want to run heavy springs and high RPM.

Hey Greg I have this same frame and I was wondering if you could make a custom gas tank for this frame I would definitely buy that
Do you prefer this bike to the Trailmaster hurricane?
Was that air/fuel ratio accurate? 17.7 would be extremely lean especially under load.
You said link down below for the tires but I don’t see it. What tires are those?
