    Is this a pet portrait or a story on your camera situation, bcuz that’s all I heard. I didn’t hear a single thing regarding “how to paint short dog hair”

    I've been employed as a paid artist (part-time) for over four decades, and have worked with some of the best animal and wildlife painters in the world. I can honestly say this is the most dramatically detailed pet portrait I have ever seen. You really should start either a Patreon channel, continuing to promote your work with shorter videos here on UA-cam, or offer DVD videos with realtime paintings and explanations of your process. If you need help getting either started, let me know. There are literally hundreds of artists who can benefit by your tutelage. Many of them would pay to see our work in realtime, and hear explanations of your process.

      Wow thanks for that compliment. I do think there's lots of others equal to this though....I know because i look for these artist for my inspiration haha...
      Patreon is definitely something i consider for in the future. I'm using youtube to build an audience and also learn how to improve at making tutorials and i have a way to go there yet I think lol..

    As a fellow artist I can honestly say you went above and beyond on the detail on that beautiful dog, what an amazing painting, just a quick suggestion during the timelasp go into real time for a minute just to show everyone exactly how long it takes and the amount of effort it takes to make a beautiful piece of art like this, thank you for sharing your work.

    Maybe a video on combining photos for a portrait? I'm working on one of a dog that has passed and the photo she really wants done has the ears cropped out. I am not good at just making things up in my head that work

    You are so talented! Just beautiful. I've been trying to do one of my american bulldog but i just can't get that realistic look. I'm so frustrated with myself. I only have a few acrylics and old brushes to just try a little painting. Its been so long since i painted. Maybe i lost my abillettys. I have a wall I'd like to fill with dog portraits. How do you choose a background color? Thank you for sharing your talent.

    Amazing painting! Can you tell me what is the brand of the paints that you use? Or what do you recommend? 😊 Thank you

    • @TmHudsonArt
      @TmHudsonArt  Рік тому

      I have personally used mostly winsor and newton proffesional and some galeria but also some liquitex and recent bought some Golden. I'm in the process of just experimenting myself so don't really want to tell others what is best for them. Paint can help but technique will matter more once you're dabbling among the better brands.

    Could you please maybe do a video on painting the wrinkles in a dog? I can't remember if you have done one specifically on that. I have nearly exhausted UA-cam of it's dog portrait vidros and I can't find many on that. Both wrinkly dogs and just the tiny forehead ones that most dogs have. That would be SUCH a help!! Thank you for all of your help so far and i aspire to get as epic as you are!!❤❤❤

    Also, I know this was a while ago, but what brand of paint and what colors did you use?

    • @TmHudsonArt
      @TmHudsonArt  Рік тому

      Will be a lot of winsor and newton...as for colours, I can't remember but it will be a result of mixing various colours anyway. I don't usually use colours stand alone. When it comes to colour mixing, the best way to learn is to actually go mix colours.

    Also, a video on working with terrible reference photos? The photos i got of this last commission are, to put it kindly, very bad.😂 the dog has passed so i can't reshoot for the painting.
