I am working on a smaller 8x6 piece of paper for this drawing. At this size, less detail can be applied so the drawing will b...

Wow best tutorial ever I’m a dog groomer and love to paint animals, dogs in particular I just subscribed. Fabulous thank you for sharing your amazing skills 🫶🏼✌🏼🦘🚐
Thank you and glad to be of help...xx
How do you decide how much to charge? I exhitbited a finger painting (not breed specific) and sold 3 16x20 in. print on canvas for $60 ea. as a show special and got my first commission piece that I quoted $200 for same size but two figures versus one. My second question has to do with whether you keep the original or not or does that depend on price? My figures are more ambiguous and not pet specific which attracts multiple buyers. I can make print on canvas reproductions and sell for less than a commission piece. When should I keep the origianl versus give the origianl to the buyer? Thank you.
oh the charging thing is always awkward but as a starting point, just try to factor in time spent and your materials....if you have a waiting list of a couple months or more, you can increase the price in smaller increments every few months or so.... I haven't done any works for myself for a long time now...everything is commissions so they all go.
Hello from New Jersey, USA. Are you using Pastelmat? Faber-Castell,pencils? Thanks! Ohhh…charcoal?
Hi yes...all supplies listed in the description....:)
Thanks for taking the time to post a drawing and a chat even with your schedule. Cheers. 🙂
@@dahl20 thanks for watching and you’re welcome….
Are you on patreon? 1:58 Your puppy is adorable!
I am currently setting one up…coming soon…
One question, what kind of acrylics do you use? I'm new to painting, and would like some recommendations. Any other tips would be helpful.😊
I list all my supplies in the description....:)
@@TmHudsonArt Oh ok thank you!
exelent detail , great tutorial. congratulations
Thank you....:)
Wow❤ and so little views , you deserve way more ❤
Thank you.....
STUNNING!!!!
I've only drawn with graphic and pastels. I might give painting a try after seeing this. Have you ever used oils? I'm just wondering what you like about acrylics. Thank you!
I haven't used oils except for one painting assignment years ago at college....I'm talking mid 90s lol... It was another local artist that introduced me to acrylics....There's downsides to them for sure but I like the fast drying and ability to layer quickly and no smelly paint thinner...they are also more archival than oils...
I wish I could download your accent from the app store. lol I love it. This painting is stunning.
Thank you....I get a lot of comments about my accent for sure...
Thanks for the update and the drawing. ❤
Thank for watching...:)
Your new puppy is so cute! Best of luck training! Thank you for the video.
You're welcome and thanks for watching...
Amazing! I tried this and one of the thins I struggle with is determining the midtones. I can see the brighest brights and the darkest areas, but how can you tell which parts are the equivalent to the gray paper? I hope that makes sense. Do you know approximately when you'll launch your Patreon? Sign me up! :-)
Na then lass, reight gud and a can tell every word tha sez......brill job and ta very much for't tips ❤❤
Thanks and you're welcome...x
I love your accent.
Thanks lol....x
You’ll have a Dobermann acrylic added to your list soon, just need to get myself in gear 😂
As a fellow artist I can honestly say you went above and beyond on the detail on that beautiful dog, what an amazing painting, just a quick suggestion during the timelasp go into real time for a minute just to show everyone exactly how long it takes and the amount of effort it takes to make a beautiful piece of art like this, thank you for sharing your work.
Amazing 😍
Thank you...:)
absolutely adorable! Great job!! Seven is so much work to paint, but you did great!!
Thank you....:)
Definitely interested in the "draw with Me" love doing horses especially dogs next but portraits of any kind would be great.. I would love to learn more about drawing.
Beautiful. Thanks for the advice as well! I'm now inspired to start painting again.
Helps a lot, thank you
What type of paint are you using?brand? And the last brush you used seem to be relatively rigid to make such thin lines. What kind of brush is that? Thank you for sharing your process and your work. Well done!
Hi, I have listed all the supplies in the description... Thanks and most welcome.
Stunning work!
Thank you..x
even tho its small you made it look just as good as if it were a large one
Thank you…x
looks amazing! Great job!
Thank you..x
Your training is amazing! Too bad I didnt have professor like you back in college days. Im certain I would have paid more attention because you have a pleasant delivery
Ah thanks....nice to get feedback because I never know whether I am explaining things in the best of ways. I am better when there's no recording going on...as soon as you start recording, it makes you forget how to speak at all....😂
Perfeito! Fantástico!!! 👋👋👋👋♥
Love this set... Youre very right about the challenge of sharing work before done and how stuff can look like a disaster for folks that have never painted / drew before. Im going to give painting a go again after 20 years away from it and thought to do pug for my wife (she love pugs) but of all the things ive drawn in my life i dont think ive ever drew/painted a dog. Im trying a complete new line of acrylic paints so Im hoping im soaking in a lot of what you teach! I was wondering why you stick to larger brushes for detailing instead of smaller?. Is it to save going back to palate? ....ummm hahaha funny.. you literally just answered my question as I was typing message. Would have really liked to have seen your process for mouth nose and eyes though! I think those areas likely a lot harder? keep on keepn on!
Hi I have since done videos for facial features so those may be of help…
What is a "rigor" ...?
Rigger...
I love your videos! But im still trying to figure out what that wonderful paint brush is?. It looks like a really skinny extra flat "flat brush"... have never seen one like it.
They are called rigger brushes.....
Amazing!
But I don't understand "rigor" brush...?
I really need to be reminded of the individual layering!
Great help, thank you
thank you so much for this video!!! the tips you provide are so helpful to me!! i notice that you are using an air brush for the background. i love the effect it gives. i have a few questions about your airbrush. do you have the actual "machine"? or are you using compressed air in a can? i have the compressed air from a can, but it is very limited and the cans are extremely expensive. next question: do you dilute the paint with water for the airbrush or some other medium? last question: if you were to guess what percentage of paint is in the diluted mixture, how much would it be? i know you can't be precise, but a general idea might help me. they painting is stunning, as usual. thank you again!!!
I have a Clarke air compressor…and I just dilute the paint and experiment lol….no idea percentage… make it sort of like milk…
Wow so amazing.
Thank you...x
The greatest take-away for me is to 'enjoy the process'. I have a tendency to want to go straight into rendering detail, and not take the time to build the layers (as you mentioned). That 'in between, messy stage' is my greatest stumbling block! You inspire me to push through it! Lovely painting of Ted!
Yes it can take some getting used to...just knowing it is a normal stage of the process helps.
Thank you 🥰🙏 I would really love if you can talk a bit about artists who have inspired you on your journey and inspiring you today! 😃
Thanks....idea for a further video....
Beautiful portrait, and thank you for the great tips!
Thank you...x
❤ your work. Very helpful too. Going to watch your other videos.
Thank you
Well done! Thank you
Thank you....x
Good review. The cretacolor pencil is the same one I bought and the lead was broken all the way through, so annoying! I have 3 of them and same issue on all of them !
Ah not just me who had this problem then. I'll not risk buying anymore.
thank you for the review!!!
You're welcome and thanks for watching....x
Bravissima!!! Meraviglia!!! Peccato i video non sono in italiano....
Sorry, only speak English....
