Hi Zara, There should be an award for the best tutor on UA-cam and Patreon, you would surely win it. You give so much information on everything you do, you show the pallet with the acrylic projects which for students is important, AND you always display the reference which I feel is SO important! We can see the steps on why you are using a certain colour mix or paint a certain stroke. Others may as well be making it up as they go along. Thank you ❤
Another great tutorial 😊. My next animal painting will be a dog so perfect timing ⏱️❤. Currently working on a tuxedo shorthair cat. First time I’m using a grid (squares) and only doing small sections at a time. I love how fast it looks real and that for sure gives me a feeling of ‘atta girl, you got this!’ and keeps me working on it rather than being frustrated with the ‘ugly stage’ all over the canvas.
Definitely. I prefer working on small sections for that reason. I also find that if I work in whole set layers that it's easier to rush which can impact the finished painting.
Thank you for your tutorial explaining in depth how to paint a dog. I've done many sketches of my puppy before he passed. He was beautiful as he lay right beside me when I did. I've not painted an animal but have a deep desire to paint him in acrylics. Your channel came up 1st in my search. I'll be watching for more videos😊❤
Hi, I classify myself very much as a beginner teaching myself through brilliant tutorials such as these. I am thinking of signing up to Zaras Patreon but worried I may be trying to run before I can walk. Are the videos appropriate for all abilities? I really want to paint my chocolate lab one day. 3:04
I find by breaking each section of fur up into individual layers it feel less daunting so we are able to work through and paint more effectively. Only focusing on one layer at a time makes a huge difference =)
Hi everyone. Can someone explain me what is she doing in the minute 3:54. What is she applying in the last leyer? It is whater or and additional layer or brown? 3:54
@josefabio15 that is a glaze. I use water and the desired colour I need to adjust the colour of the fur. I have a video here all about glazing where I show how I like to use them for different purposes.
Hi Zara, love your tutorials, are you looking for any music by any chance? I'm looking to collaborate with other youtubers would really like to make some music for your videos. Let me know.
You are expected to show the brush movements at original speed so that the beginners can easily learn . Also you please speak slowly. Your demonstrations are good for those who have semi-mastered the technichs

@@zaratomsart thanks 🤗
What do you use to map out the white lines?
I've used transfer paper to ensure my canvas stays clean =)
Es necesario pintar cada pelo del animal para que sea un buen retrato?? Humm...

The real time tutorial is on Patreon where I explain every brush stroke, no footage is sped up.

Why don't you show the colors?
Sorry you are not understandable-and we cannot see your bruises. You speak too fast and move too fast.
